“Izcali was fantastic! Super responsive, easy to communicate with, and followed instructions to the T. Our furbaby looked happy every check in photo dump and seemed very happy and content when we got home. I can tell she got lots of love and attention while we were away. I will absolutely recommend Izcali to others and will rebook again.”

“Nicole was absolutely amazing. So kind, thoughtful and attentive. We had to worry about nothing while she was caring for our babies. I would highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely be booking in the future”

About: Hi! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a dog taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and providing a loving environment for pets. I’m an active, dependable person who enjoys long walks and spending time outdoors on walking trails, so making sure your dog gets plenty of exercise and attention comes naturally to me. Whether your pup loves a leisurely stroll or has lots of energy to burn, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while they’re with me. I understand that pets are family, and I’ll treat yours with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. Pet care fits very well into my weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. This allows me to provide reliable care, accommodate last-minute bookings when possible, and give each pet the time and attention they deserve. I unfortunately do not have a yard at my residence but I am more than happy to take care of your furry friends on your home
“Kaitlin checked on our two young cats while we were out of town. We really appreciate that the check-ins were around the same time each day so they could keep their dinner schedule, and we appreciate the kitty photos because we missed them!”

“Megan has taken great care of my very shy cat Peanut multiple times!! She communicates with photos and messages regularly and I know I can rely on her to handle anything that might come up (including Peanut knocking over his whole litter box). Highly recommend, she’s a fantastic, trustworthy sitter and Peanut loves her!”
“Keaton is truly a great cat sitter that I cannot recommend enough to others! Whether it's communication, attention to detail, taking photos/videos, or their natural ability to work with kitties, Keaton excelled in every aspect.”

“Great sitter! Nicholas was reliable, communicative, and took great care of Smokey while I was away. I felt comfortable knowing he was in good hands and would definitely book again!”

“Lilla was great for visiting with my two pups! She was flexible and quick to respond when I needed a sitter due to unexpected trip to attend a funeral. She communicated well and provided me pictures of her visits. She even cleaned up after one of my pups when she got sick in the house. I’d recommend her and will use her again. Thank you, Lilla, and sorry about the pup mess!”

“This was the second time we hired Emma to watch our anxious frenchie, Lucy. Emma is very patient and takes time to sit and cuddle with Lucy, which we really appreciate! She’s a wonderful pet sitter and we highly recommend her!”

“Kristina, was above and beyond with Max! This was our first time leaving Max with someone else and I loved the great communication, pictures, and I felt at ease with her work! Thank you for everything!!”

About: Hi, I’m Erika! I share my DC home with two very different dogs: Eljay, a high-energy mini Bernedoodle who needs a real workout, and Bisou, a tiny terrier mix who runs entirely on her own agenda. Caring for both of them has made me a genuinely better walker. I know what an overstimulated dog looks like. I know when a dog needs to slow down, not speed up, and when they need a little extra engagement and attention. Whether your pup needs an energetic walk, a mid-day potty break, playtime, medication, feeding, puppy care, senior dog care, or just some company during a long day, I’ll follow your routines and give them my full attention every single visit. What actually sets me apart is my availability. I’m a music teacher with afternoon and evening hours, so my mornings and middays are open. That’s exactly when most dogs need care. When I show up, I’m present. Your dog won’t be treated like just another stop on a long route. I work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, including puppies, seniors, rescue dogs, and high-energy breeds that need more than a quick loop around the block. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and maintaining the routines that help dogs feel secure and happy. Every visit includes photos and a detailed update, so you’ll always know how your dog is doing. If anything seems off, I’ll communicate right away. I proudly serve Brookland, Woodridge, Michigan Park, Edgewood, Brentwood, Capitol Hill, and nearby Northeast DC neighborhoods. I always start with a free meet-and-greet so we can make sure it’s the right fit before booking. I’d love to meet you and your dog! I work as a music teacher with afternoon and evening commitments, which makes me genuinely available mid-morning and midday most days. Weekends work well too. For recurring bookings I aim for consistent timing so your pet settles into a reliable routine, and I always send a photo update so you know the visit went well. I've been around animals my whole life and I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's pet seriously. I follow your instructions, respect your home, and pay attention to how your pet is feeling, whether something seems different, whether they need a little more time or a little more space that day. I'll always let you know how the visit went and reach out right away if anything gives me pause. Leaving a pet in someone's care requires real trust, and I don't take that lightly.
“Mike was amazing with Scooby! He watched him for a couple of weeks and took great care of him the whole time. He was very helpful, easy to communicate with, and made sure we stayed updated every day by sending videos. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Scooby was in good hands. Highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring Rover 🙌🏽”

“Your fur baby will be well looked after of with Daniela. She is very caring, thoughtful and has excellent communication and follow through. My dog fell in love with her. I was able to go out of town and feel confident that my girl was in good hands!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 8 years old and have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. In addition to dogs and cats, I’ve also cared for a ferret and a bearded dragon. I strive to be a calm, safe, and comforting presence so your pet feels secure while you’re away. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, or simply keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets like my own and keep you updated every step of the way. I work full-time from Monday to Friday, but my job is not traditional and allows me flexibility with proper notice. I am free in the evenings, other than Thursdays. I am also free on the weekends. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and stress-free environment where your pet feels comfortable and cared for. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, respect your home, pay close attention to their needs and behavior, and treat them with the same patience and love I give my own pets. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing.
“Lisa did such a wonderful job with our cats. We enjoyed having her over for a meet and greet, and she was very professional and asked great questions. During her visits she was very meticulous and responded so well to each of our cat’s quirky personalities. They were the calmest we have seen them after returning from a trip. We will definitely book again with Lisa in the future - and highly recommend others to do so! Thank you, Lisa”

“We rely on Jared for walking our dogs and also for dropping in on our cats when we travel. He stays the whole time and plays with them in addition to feeding them and cleaning their litter boxes. All our pets like Jared.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Rainier
When my cat sitter fell through right before a trip over a holiday weekend, I was nervous to use Rover for the first time but Yuliya made it easy! She was open to a last minute request and was even able to set up a meet and greet on the same day. She was very professional, attentive, and asked great questions to ensure we were set up for success. She completed 3 drop ins over the weekend and sent lots of photos and updates which were perfect while I was away. My cat is shy but warmed up to her, partly due to Yuliya’s patience and respecting her space. I would definitely book with her again!

Steven took great care of our cat, making sure she was fed, watered, and had a clean litter box at each visit. She's very social, so we appreciated the time Steven took to give her lots of love and attention, and sending us lots of pictures and videos while we were away. Steven was super easy to communicate and coordinate with too.

Megan did drop in visits for us for a whole month while we were out of town and she was awesome! Really easy to communicate with, kept us updated on our chatty cat and was overall extremely reliable and consistent with the quality of reports on her drop ins (always included info about our girls attitude, litter and food updates). We feel beyond lucky to have found someone trustworthy like Megan. Can’t recommend her enough!

Brendan was great! He was very communicative, on time and provided regular updates. He also was extremely accommodating and understanding when our cat needed a little medical attention and also made himself available for an emergency add on visit. Highly recommend and will definitely book him again!

Very communicative and kind. Left very detailed notes. Let us know when there were problems. Did everything we had asked. Sent lots of pictures and videos. The cats seemed to like her based on the videos she had sent. We asked if she could take care of (and give meds to) our gecko and she seemed very willing ((Sadly our little guy passed a few days before our trip so they did not interact)) she had mentioned she did have experience with exotic pets. We appreciate Abby for her time and taking care of our cats. We will definitely consider booking her for future cat sitting needs if she is available.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Rainier. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
