Safety, trust & environment

When doing drop in cat visits, I enter and close the door quickly to not allow cats to leave. I will also check the mailbox and surrounding area for packages or newspapers to bring inside. If the cat is not there to greet me I go and find the cat, to make sure they are okay and in the house. From there I clean up any food and water dishes, and floor around the dishes and replenish based on your instructions. I always rinse cans and place them in the recycling. From there I clean the litter box and the sweep the surrounding area, and dispose of the litter according to your instructions. If the cat is sociable, I then play with them with their toys, or pet them if they are okay with that. I then make sure the cat is not near the door and will exit and lock the door securely to make sure they don't get out. I will send notes and photos after the visit as well.

Information Whitney K. would like to know about your pet

I'd love to know if you cats like to interact with people or not. I always read a cat when we meet to see if they are interested in being pet, or played with. I'll start by sitting on the ground with my hand extended a few feet away to see if they want to come to me or not. I always try this each day, because sometimes it takes them a bit to warm up to someone new.

A typical day

Drop in for cats: First I put out food, refresh water, and clean the litter box. Then, I always play with cats if there are any toys left out, either a wand with a ribbon or other toys that can be tossed around.

Cat's Best Friend!

Cat care experience

I grew up with cats my whole life, and as an adult have had cats myself. I'm very punctual, tidy, and detail orientated. I have dealt with cats of all varieties, those that hide and those that want to play, those that get nervous and leave messes and those that don't want to you leave at all!

Whitney was amazing as always, so reliable and I always appreciate the details in her updates about what’s going on while we’re away!

Whitney is so wonderful! She is attentive and caring and my cat loves her! She always lets her take the lead, but is great at play time, pets, and is very diligent about scooping litter. She goes as far as sweeping up the knocked out litter! I’ve booked her several times and will definitely do so again

Whitney made us feel really comfortable leaving our cats with her! She always sent very detailed messages about what they had been up to, and was very good with communication. I would definitely book with Whitney again!

Whitney was prompt, communicative, friendly, and even got our shy cat to come out and play. Will definitely rebook!
