“Nicole and her family (as always) made sure the our two little ones were happy and well cared for while we were traveling on two back to back trips. Gives us peace of mind to know they are well loved and in a safe environment while we are away.”

“Stephanie and Luis did an amazing job dog sitting! Communication was great from start to finish, and they kept me updated with pictures, which really put my mind at ease. They were so welcoming and even created a special space in their home for Coco and Chloe. I’d definitely trust them and rebook again!”

“Abigail did a great job caring for my dog over the 4th of July weekend. I was able to relax knowing my dog was in good hands. As a bonus my pup had a great time playing with sweet Stella. Abigail was easy to coordinate with, gave regular updates and also was very knowledgeable about dog play styles/dog behavior. Highly recommend!”

“Amazing! My dog and I are joined at the hip and I don’t love leaving her just anywhere! Rouday was so kind and my dog took good care of him right away. His flexibility and graciousness with me almost stood out more than his professionalism and care with my dog. Highly recommend!!!”

“Mckinley watched my kitten Cashew over the July 4 long weekend, and she was awesome! A week before Cashew’s boarding stay started, she proposed a phone call to learn all about his care and any concerns I had. She sent consistent updates with photos/videos of Cashew throughout his stay, and he clearly had a blast playing with her cat!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Would 100% recommend Christina she made my baby boy feel comfortable and safe. He had such a great time I could tell from all the pictures and especially when I picked him up. He’s only 7 months old, still potty training, a picky eater and this was my first time leaving him with anyone else so I was EXTREMELY worried but Christina took such great care of him, ensured he was comfy at night time and could sleep well and he didn’t miss a meal which is amazing as sometimes he refuses to eat. Thank you so much Christina!”

“Lia was responsive and sent detailed updates throughout each day. Lia was also very flexible with some last minute changes I needed to make to the booking. Foxy had a great time staying with her!”

“Haydenn was an awesome sitter for our Bulldog! He was super communicative and accommodating even when our travel plans changed. We’ll definitely hire Haydenn again!”

“Malvi and Andrej were so wonderful to Kala! I’m so happy to have found someone I can trust and feel completely at ease to take care of my pup when I’m busy or out of town. They sent lots of updates and made sure to keep me in the loop with pics & texts. I could tell Kala was having such a blast with them by how happy she looked. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I then get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. I do have a doggy door that she can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.

“I finally found a sitter near my home and I'm so glad Amani could care for our girl! Roxie is a nervous girl especially since she is used to boarding with her older sister who passed away last year. However, Amani was very accommodating which included scheduling a meet-and-greet with my us prior to Roxie's stay. She also provided multiple pictures and updates to ensure we knew how she was doing. Looking forward to booking with her again.”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“When a last-minute work trip arose, they graciously accommodated my dog, providing a safe and loving environment. Their dedication to pet care is evident in their attention to detail and genuine affection for animals. I highly recommend Chad and Regina to anyone in need of reliable and compassionate dog-sitting services.”

“Alex is the best. He was very understanding with us when our flight was delayed and Pip always comes back to us happy and relaxed after staying with Alex. We will continue to book with him as our first choice whenever he is available.”

“Riley had a wonderful time while we toured DC for several days. We got pictures from Geneen of a very happy lab playing with another labs. Lots or ball and water time. Would use her again without any hesitation. Riley came back smelling better than when she left.”
“This was our first time boarding Black with a sitter, and Crystal provided a great experience for Black and for us. When we dropped him off, he didn’t even look back as she ushered him inside which told us he was comfortable with Crystal from the very beginning. When we picked Black up, he was excited to see us AND sad for his weekend with Crystal to come to an end. Black had a couple of behavioral issues during his stay and Crystal was very attentive taking great care of his needs and keeping us updated with great photos and detailed reports. We highly recommend Crystal.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mount Rainier
Our dogs are not "just dogs", they are incredibly important members of our family, so even when we have to leave them, they are still always on our mind. It's been especially tough to leave them lately since my older girl Gull is almost 12.5 and we can tell she's slowing way down. So when our previous dog sitter moved away, we were worried about who was going to take her place, especially since Gull took YEARS to warm up to her fully. But then we found Ari and Ame. Within days, Gull and Oakley (our two year old sweetheart) were clearly so comfortable at their house and seemed to be loving the fun playtime with the other dogs who come for daycare or boarding, as well as their own dog, adorable Marshall. Communication was superb, with tons of adorable videos and pictures coming through every single day. And when Gull had a little "medical moment" , Ari was all over it, took great care of her, and got her back to feeling good quickly. She even dropped them back directly at our house when we got a bit delayed at the airport! I don't think I realized previously that I had a low level of anxiety every time I left my sweet girls, but that was gone by day 3 of our vacation when I knew for certain that Ari and Ame were taking care of them as if they were her own--and they were happy and exhausted when we saw them again from all the fun and love they had at their house. Thank you thank you a million times over to Ari and Ame!! We'll be seeing them again soon, I'm sure!

Fany was an amazing sitter! She sent picture updates and was patient and understanding to their anxiety when I had to leave them. She also left a cute gift of treats for the boys! Her attention to detail and love of dogs was felt and surely any puppy will feel right at home!

Thank you both so much for taking such wonderful care of Simba while I was away! I truly appreciate the care and attention you gave him. From all the pictures you sent, I could tell that Simba was very comfortable, relaxed, and happy with you. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in a safe and caring environment and enjoying himself while I was away. Thank you again for making Simba feel so welcome and well cared for. I would definitely use you again and would happily recommend you to others looking for someone they can trust with their dog. Thanks again for taking such great care of my Simba! 🐾❤️ Karla

We had such a wonderful experience with Holly! She took excellent care of Foxy while we were away for two weeks and truly treated her like she was one of her own. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Foxy was happy, comfortable, and getting plenty of love and attention while we were gone. Holly was incredibly communicative throughout Foxy’s stay and regularly sent us photos and videos of all the fun they were having together. We especially appreciated how much she genuinely loves and cares for animals. Knowing that Holly also has prior experience as a vet tech gave us an extra level of reassurance that Foxy was in knowledgeable and capable hands. We came home to a very happy and well-cared-for Foxy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Holly will absolutely be one of our go-to people for future boarding needs. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pup!

Another great booking with Janay! My dog is generally so scared of meeting new people and staying with strangers, but he warms up to her so fast every time and lets his bubbly personality shine through. He seemed very well taken care of during his week-long boarding. Will be booking with Janay again in the future!

Our experience with Fabian was great. Our Masha seemed really having enjoyed it her time with him. She's unfortunately not very social, when with us, but her time there demonstrated she could happily share a backyard and some time with many other dogs with no problem whatsoever. That was amazing to see in all videos Fabian shared over the time. He took care of Masha's health and was open to share his views. Many thanks Fabian for your amazing hospitality.

Madeleine helped me out in a pinch when my sitter canceled on me less than 24 hours before I was set to go out of town. She was so understanding, accommodating, and warm, and my dog clearly enjoyed spending the week with her. Edie was very content and happy in all of the photo updates as well as when I went to pick her up at the end of the stay. I l’m so grateful to Madeleine for taking good care of my pup and I hope to book with her again in the future!
