“Christian is always soo sweet and takes care of our 2 doggies so well! They always look forward to going to see her!!! We have used daycare and boarding with Christian and the doggies leave happy and healthy!”

“Always a good time for Tucker in Amani’s care. It is great to see Tucker surrounded by dogs in his size range and whose temperaments seem to match. Tucker was immediately at ease when he realized where he was being dropped off. Peace of mind is always at the top of the list. Amani has always been receptive to our requests and consistent in her communication. If she is available… we know where our dog will be! 💜”

“Incredible! From the first moment, I knew my pup was safe and loved on. Abigail consistently communicated how he was doing and sent pictures that made my day every day! I highly recommend her services. I have booked with Rover before, but this was by far the best experience.”

“Stephanie and Luis did an amazing job dog sitting! Communication was great from start to finish, and they kept me updated with pictures, which really put my mind at ease. They were so welcoming and even created a special space in their home for Coco and Chloe. I’d definitely trust them and rebook again!”

“We always love booking with Alex and Daniel! They provide us with frequent updates and are incredibly responsive. Our dog seems like she is right at home at their place.”

“From communication to coordination and the overall positive energy that Chad and his wife had, we have been very happy and satisfied. I’d highly recommend him. Thanks for looking after our little one.”

“Lia’s communication is always on point! Charlie and I recently moved to DC and looking for a new sitter. Lia was honestly the best sitter for Charlie! She went above and beyond for Charlie even accommodated to his spoiled picky eating behavior 😂. Honestly I want to gate keep Lia but I think everyone deserves to have a sitter like her.”

“Haydenn was a lifesaver after I had another Rover fall through super last minute. He made pick up and drop off easy and took great care of my dog! We'll definitely be back again.”

“Kamille was fantastic! I’m so glad Hershey stayed with her while I was out of town. She always shared pictures and videos and was very easy to get in touch with. Also, Kamille is very detailed oriented and I greatly appreciated the care she provided.”

“We could not have asked for a better family to take care of Camden! They were so communicative and sent photos and videos multiple times a day. Camden got a ton of outside time and loved being with their dogs. Highly recommend and definitely will use again!”

“Nadia was spectacular! She walked Ginsburg regularly and kept us updated on her activities, most regularly with photos. She wanted to send more updates, but I shared that it was unnecessary. Periodically would be fine. As a new owner of a 6-month-old puppy, and a first-time boarder, I know that puppy-energy can sometimes be a challenge. Nadia took it all in stride, providing a safe and suitable environment…and assuaging any trepidations we may have had as first-time Rover users. Thx, Nadia!”

“Austin and Majid have watched my dog 3 times and been soooo wonderful. They are loving and considerate of her, and they kept me updated! My dog has some anxiety and behavior challenges, and they were very understanding and patient. Highly recommend!”

“Chloe and her husband were really great sitters..Bella had a wonderful time with them and we got pics and updates of Bella regularly. We are so thankful that Bella got to have fun while we were away.”

About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I then get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. I do have a doggy door that she can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.
“McKinley was the best sitter we could’ve had! She was able to accommodate to a last minute request. She sent frequent updates and my pup felt so comfortable in her house with her other pets. 10/10 best sitter in the area!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Thomasena is absolutely amazing, and her daughter Robin is just as wonderful. They took such loving care of our fur baby while we were away, and it truly felt like he was part of their family. When we picked him up, he was so relaxed and happy—it was clear he had been in great hands. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was being cared for with so much affection. Definitely will book Thomasena every time we go away. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Anne Marie took such great care of Danny, she was patient and kind to him as a senior dog and just loved on him! I will definitely be asking Anne Marie to care for him again when I need it.”
“Tasha was wonderful with Coconut and as a veterinary technician is very knowledgeable. She took really good care of Coconut and got her out on walks before I picked up which was greatly appreciated.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Chillum
Madeleine helped me out in a pinch when my sitter canceled on me less than 24 hours before I was set to go out of town. She was so understanding, accommodating, and warm, and my dog clearly enjoyed spending the week with her. Edie was very content and happy in all of the photo updates as well as when I went to pick her up at the end of the stay. I l’m so grateful to Madeleine for taking good care of my pup and I hope to book with her again in the future!

Precious was wonderful! She was very communicative throughout Orlando’s 5-day and kept us updated with plenty of great pictures. We could tell through the pictures and consistent communication that our pup was comfortable and being well taken care of. We had a great experience and will definitely be using Precious again

Jocelyn was amazing. From a last min booking (due to emergency travel) to dealing with flight delays on the way back. She kept me updated with pics and their walking route and even washed his blanket. Best of all when it was time to go my pup jumped up on the couch - he was very comfortable and that lets me know he was well cared for.

Grace is wonderful! She is always so flexible as our travel seems to always be delayed/impacted in some way, but she always is willing to adjust the drop off/pick up time and make sure our dog Winnie gets the care she needs. Winnie is always so excited to see her which puts us at ease, knowing she loves her time with Grace. Thank you!

Asha was so great with our Louie! He had just started allergy meds that week and she was great about administering them during his stay. We also had a travel delay that led us to needing additional care, and Asha was so accommodating! We can’t wait for Louie to spend time with her again!!

Jono took care of my blind senior dog Stevie for 2 weeks, and she couldn’t have been in better hands. Given her age and health she gets anxious in new spaces, but Jono was incredibly attuned to her needs. He quickly figured out her (many) quirks and sent regular photos/updates. It was so reassuring to see her so happy and at ease at the end of her stay! I 100% will leave her with him again.

she is so freaking amazing!! You can tell that she genuinely loves and cares for all of the fur babies that are under her care. She has such a beautiful heart, and I will definitely be using her in the future!! She took such great care of my baby girl, and I appreciate her so much. So patient and so kind and honestly the best person you can have to watch your fur babies!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
