I always worry leaving Ralphie with a new Rover. He has been described as “extra” and needs a lot of attention/human presence. Within an hour of dropping him off, I got a note that he is settling in fine with a picture of him cozied up with the family and this eased my mind immensely. They were very responsive when I reached out and had everything ready to go when I picked him up. The biggest testament, however, is Ralphie’s behavior on the drive home. If let’s me know if he didn’t like his stay somewhere, but leaving Natalia and Edward he was calm and well behaved. They deserve this 5-star review and j would recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.”

About: I have grown up with dogs from a young kid and they have always been a constant in my life. My kids always had at least 2 dogs in the house and even though they are gone, I still loving pets around. I specifically like to take care of small to medium dogs, senior dogs, and dogs that are house trained. I am very excited to start this journey on Rover and meet and take care of your dogs. I am retired and am at home full-time which gives me the availability to fully cater to your dogs. I like to go on walks in my neighbourhood and spend time in my fenced in backyard. About: My Golden Lab, Grace, was my best friend. She escaped from a puppy mill at 3 months old and I had her ever since. Dogs offer such unconditional love and the chance to repay that even a little bit is rewarding. I work full time in mental health close to home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me a lot of free time and the ability to make my own schedule. I love reading, writing, cooking and exploring my new city I now call home. I'm also experienced in taking care of bunnies as well and have sat over 10 clients. I love chilling with them while reading! I mean, it’s a fact that floppy bunny ears are the cutest thing ever, right? I think Bill Nye the Science Guy taught me that. My experience with pets over the years has taught me that they often act out when they don’t feel comfortable. They also sometimes show aggression or fear in new circumstances. This is all totally normal! My first focus is always allowing a visiting pooch to scope out the place at their own pace without any distractions. This allows them to feel as comfortable as possible. I stay close and keep a special eye on them in case they’re telling me with body language that they’re upset, scared, hungry or just want some outside time! About: Having grown up with dogs and owning my own as an adult for many years, taking care of dogs comes naturally to me. I am the go-to “favorite aunty” when it comes to sitting for my friends’ dogs. Given I work from home, I figured I could expand my services and care for dogs that aren’t already “in the family.” I work for myself from home, so I set my own schedule, offering me lots of flexibility. I love taking walks already, so taking a furry friend with me fits in nicely with my routine. In addition, I love the cuddles and companionship a dog offers and am happy to be a calming, loving presence for your dog during the day or overnight, if need be. I have an outdoor space attached to my apartment for emergency outdoor visits, plus I love going on walks around my neighborhood for a little extra movement and exercise and potty needs. If there is a nearby dog park or a fenced in yard at the pet’s home, I’m happy to utilize that for more off leash play. If the dog is open to it, I’m a big fan of snuggling on the couch together.

About: I'm a full-time professional with fairly flexible work hours. I have two dogs, a happy, healthy 12 yr old Plott-hound mix, Ollie, and a happy, energetic and loving 2 yr old husky-shepherd mix, Bella., I've watched and cared for dozens of other dogs (friends, family, etc.) over the last 15 years and am generally known as a bit of a 'dog whisperer'. I absolutely love dogs and look forward to taking exceptional care of your pet when you need to leave them in somebody else's care. Ollie, Bella, and I walk for ~4 miles every day around the neighborhood, go to dog friendly parks/fields in my neighborhood, and walks in the woods where they can run off leash. As highlighted in the pictures, Ollie and Bella readily get along with a wide variety of dogs as a walking buddy, a sleeping buddy, or a running-around-a-field buddy. If you leave your dog with us, your dog will have new canine friends, get lots of fun neighborhood walks, and have friends to cuddle up with on the couch / in their dog bed after a long-day of walking, eating, and sleeping :). I typically do two long walks each day (one between ~7-9 AM, the other sometime between 5-7 PM). Will also do a short mid-day walk and/or a short pre-bedtime walk as needed! While Ollie and Bella were crate trained as puppies, at this point they roams freely throughout the house. That said, I'm happy to host crate-trained dogs, and more than comfortable allowing your (trained!) dog to roam free throughout my home much like my pups.

Both have been socialized and are respectful of the other dog in the home. Both dogs get 3 walks per day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening to ensure they are exercised as well as some off leash play in the yard. We are educators so we work throughout the week until summer break when we will be home throughout the day. We look forward to meeting your pup and caring for them like they’re our own! We are both in education, so we are currently working throughout the week but are free on the weekends or can care for dogs that are used to being home. We do have a dog of our own to keep others company while we are away. During summer break, we will be home all day every day to care for your dog! We have a house in a quiet area with a large fenced-in yard that your dog will love to run around in. We also have a dog of our own who loves to make new friends and play. We have experience as dog owners for 8 years, and we are comfortable with any care needs as a result. We look forward to welcoming your dog into our home!

“I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Edward and Natalia. We had a meet and greet a week prior where they asked a lot of questions and observed Ralphie with their sweet pup, Liz Lemon. I always worry leaving Ralphie with a new Rover. He has been described as “extra” and needs a lot of attention/human presence. Within an hour of dropping him off, I got a note that he is settling in fine with a picture of him cozied up with the family and this eased my mind immensely. They were very responsive when I reached out and had everything ready to go when I picked him up. The biggest testament, however, is Ralphie’s behavior on the drive home. If let’s me know if he didn’t like his stay somewhere, but leaving Natalia and Edward he was calm and well behaved. They deserve this 5-star review and j would recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them.
