Availability

I work full-time from home in my cozy Takoma house, so your dog will always have a buddy around. My gentle beagle, Frank, keeps me company during the day, and we love having another friend to join us for walks, porch time, and naps. Frank used to have separation anxiety, so I know how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for all day long while their people are away. I’m also available most evenings and weekends — as long as your pup doesn’t mind snuggling up for a baseball game, we’ll get along just fine.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, pets get all the love and attention they deserve. I work full-time from home, so your dog will always have company and care throughout the day. My beagle, Frank, is a calm, friendly boy who mostly naps but loves gentle play with new friends. Because he has hip dysplasia and a sensitive tummy, I’m experienced with giving medication and providing the kind of gentle, attentive care dogs sometimes need. We have a fenced yard, plenty of cozy space to relax, and we’re just five minutes from a trusted vet.

Information Cassidy C. would like to know about your pet

Let me know anything significant about your dog that will help us take care of them! I want to make sure your pet is comfortable in my care. Are they good with other dogs? For big dogs, do they play gently with dogs that are smaller than them?

A typical day

A typical day here is relaxed and cozy, with plenty of time for play and attention. If the weather’s nice, we’ll spend time outside in the yard or on the porch soaking up the sunshine. During my workday, the dogs hang out with me in my home office — there are two dog beds and a big comfy chair that’s become a favorite napping spot. We mix our day with playtime, cuddles, and naps, and if their owner’s okay with it, we’ll sometimes take a short drive to Rock Creek Park for a nice walk. My goal is always to keep dogs happy, comfortable, and feeling right at home — whether they’re snoozing beside my desk or enjoying some porch time with Frank.

Pet care experience

Hello! I’m Cassidy, a lifelong dog lover living in Takoma, DC. I work from home full-time, which means your pup will have company and care all day long. I share my cozy house (with a big fenced yard and a porch perfect for lounging) with my beagle, Frank — a sleepy, gentle boy who loves meeting new friends. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from tiny chihuahuas to big, goofy retrievers. I’m comfortable administering medication and adapting to each dog’s individual needs and energy level. The only thing I ask is that larger dogs be calm enough to respect Frank’s space, since he has some hip issues and can’t handle being jumped on by big dogs. Whether your pup loves long walks, quiet naps, or extra snuggles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home while you’re away.

We are beginning to worry that Scout prefers Cassidy and Elizabeth to us! They take terrific care of her and are great at sending pictures and videos. We have no worries when we are out of town and Scout is with Cassidy
