Dog and Cat Lover Extraordinaire!
I have worked in dog and cat rescue since 2017, both hands on with force-free, reward-based training, behavioral education, adopting out dogs to the public, marketing, vetting, and additional responsibilities. I also have my own dog and cat so I have both professional and personal experience with dogs and cats. I am a HUGE dog lover with a big heart and would love to spend time caring for your dog (and cat!). I work from home part-time and my schedule is flexible. It does vary week-to-week but if given advance notice, I can make sure to have you scheduled regularly on my calendar for a set time! After 10 a.m. and before 7 p.m. is best for me, but I'm of course willing to make exceptions if needed. My own dog and cat have run of the house but I am happy to do whatever you prefer to keep your pets safe (e.g., baby gate, crate). I need to know how your pet reacts to new people entering the home and always want to make sure all parties are comfortable. I would never want your pet to be fearful, so I prefer a meet and greet in your home before I begin caring for your pet without you present.

I make sure your pet is kept safe! If walking your dog, I always keep hold of the leash, even if the dog has good recall. It does not matter; I'd much rather be safe than sorry. I make sure all the doors are closed so that your pet does not accidentally escape. If I'm with your dog in the backyard, I never leave your dog alone, even if it's fenced. Dogs can escape even if the yard is fenced so I ALWAYS keep an eye on your dog at all times. I always make sure to let you know if anything seems out of the norm about your pet (e.g., vomiting, accident in the house). If your dog is in a crate, I always make sure the latches are closed so your dog is nice and safe inside their crate!

Liza is amazing and understands difficult dog behavior. We have an anxious dog who usually takes a while to warm up to new people which makes finding a dog sitter more challenging. Liza was patient with our dog and got him to more or less accept her on the first visit. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.
There is no one better with dogs than Liza!!

I always feel so comfortable when I know Liza is stopping in on Fable while I work. I let her know on Friday that Fable was having some health issues and Liza gave me a blow-by-blow of her health and activity level etc...during her time with Fable on her visit. And of course multiple pictures. Liza is the absolute best so grateful that my family stumbled upon her. Tried to give you a fifty dollar tip, but they wouldn't let me (the Rover site!!!!!)

Dates de la garde
I have regular clients and dog sit Monday through Friday each week. I often have "as needed" bookings as well from repeat or first-time clients that need me to watch their pet because they're going away or have to go into the office. In terms of my hours of availability, I am usually available between 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. depending on how many bookings I have on any specific day. I also don't pet sit after sunset for safety reasons, so I am available later during the Spring and Summer months and am not available after around 5 p.m. in the Fall and Winter months. I'm always willing to help so if you have a need, just reach out and we can try to make it work!
