Safety, trust & environment

It really depends on the animal and what they need to feel comfortable! I go into every pet interaction knowing that I’m on that animal’s turf and I need to get to know them before expecting them to be happy/comfortable with me.

Information Mary M. would like to know about your pet

I’m comfortable with all size dogs but I do like to know if a dog is reactive to people, dogs, other animals, etc so I know how to best ensure their walk/care is as stress-free as possible.

A typical day

I love a long (and the word long here changes depending on the dog) walk accompanied by plenty of pets and a few treats (if they’re allowed!). Before I leave, there will be lots of love and maybe some toy playtime if the dog is excited for it!

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs, currently own two cats, and had a bearded dragon for almost a decade! I even worked at a local animal shelter for two years, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I also have experience with senior animals, especially administering any special medications including injectable medicines, as my own cat has diabetes and receives insulin shots twice a day.

Mary did a great job taking care of my cats. I really appreciated the daily reports and the many phots she sent every day. I highly recommend her

Mary was absolutely exceptional with my cat Athena, who doesn’t warm up to new friends easily or quickly! By the end of their time together, Athena was showing her belly. This a true testament to the trust and comfort Mary’s presence gave her. Mary was a great communicator and I always got numerous cute photos and a detailed update. I would definitely recommend Mary to other pet parents!

What great care! Mary had the experience with giving cats insulin that just gave me so much comfort being away. All the cats seemed so happy in their photos.
