“Jonathan was great with our recently adopted dog that gave him a hard time. He was calm, patient and adapted to the situation as needed, communicating well along the way.”

“Gio was an excellent dog walker. She helped me when my current dog walker could not continue walking buddy. She reported all the details of the visit efficiently and gave us peace of mind. She was informative and responsible. This was my first time using rover and I had a great experience thanks to Gio. She has a true love for dogs and what she does. I will definitely work with her in the future.”

“Teffni is so sweet and communicative, and she had to deal with a lot: my dog not wanting to walk in the rain and the front desk attendant giving her a hard time. Really appreciated her help.”

“Everything with Ri worked smoothly . She came a few days in advance so we could meet each other and she could meet the dogs. She was friendly and clearly comfortable with dogs. She walked the dogs without a hitch and left the key in the agreed upon location.”

About: Looking for a reliable, adaptable friend to visit your dog midday? I've got you! And I'd love to meet your dog! My dog passed away in 2021 and I've been looking for opportunities to make some new furry friends ever since! I've played and walked and taken care of many dogs of many breeds and sizes at various levels of training. If you have specific training or behavioral goals for your dog, I will be sure to incorporate that into my visits. Currently, I work at my full-time job from 3:30am-noon and can be available as soon as 12:30pm or as soon as it takes me to travel to your pet's location. I am very flexible when it comes to the specifics in how you and your pet would like our visits to work! We could go for walks on a specific path, play to exercise and deplete built up energy, or simply run around in the fenced-in backyard for potty time.

About: I’ve taken care of animals my entire life! I had my first dog, adopted from Dogs XL, in 2014. I love big dogs, little dogs, and medium dogs. All breeds and types (with a preferred love for rescues!). I love learning the personalities of new animals, and learning their quirks and how they show their love. I just graduated from college and am currently looking for long-term employment. Due to only having part-time gigs right now, your animal will have frequent walks, supervised time outside, and pets. I am willing to be flexible in my schedule for home visits too, coming as frequently as desired. I have a fenced yard and no other animals in the house, but two parents, a brother, and myself (all pet lovers), so there will be lots of people to keep your animals company and play.
About: I've been pet sitting since I was in high school, grew up with a dog (a Westie) and now have three cats of my own. I'm in grad school so I've moved around a lot and nearly every person I've lived with has owned pets, so I'm familiar with many breeds! I'm a grad student working remote most days, making me flexible and available to accommodate your pet’s needs as required. Whether your pet requires walks, playtime, or special care, I can adapt my routine to provide reliable and attentive support. While I cannot offer pet care in my home (we've already got too many legs!), in your home I am flexible to work with your needs and follow care instructions, ensuring your pets feel secure and happy.

About: I’ve had any and all kinds of pets! Currently I have two dogs, a cat, and a spider. I love animals and find it important to put their comfort levels first. One thing that i’ve always found important is to respect animals boundaries. I am very go with the flow and am good with doing any tasks no matter how dirty or uncalled for. I just graduated highschool! I’m going to study at the University of Pittsburgh this coming fall! I’m very available for any pet care and have a pretty adjustable schedule, so i’m able to make anything work anytime! I tend to sleep with most of my animals, but I understand the importance of a crate for certain animals! I love to take my dogs for long walks and pay close attention to what they try to communicate to me. I understand that some animals might need some extra help with medicine/etc. and i’m up to the task and will keep your home clean and organized, so that there is little to no mixups! Your pets safety is the most important thing.
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angela! I booked her last minute on a Friday because my cousin’s family and I were going away to a wedding, and we needed urgent care for our pets. She responded so quickly, was incredibly understanding of the situation, and immediately put my mind at ease. Throughout the weekend she sent constant updates and pictures, which meant the world to us. She even stepped in to care for another pet I added last minute—without hesitation—and did it all with such care and professionalism. Truly, I could not have asked for anyone better. If you put your pets in her hands, you can trust they will be loved, safe, and so well taken care of. She was amazing, and I am beyond thankful for her help. I would absolutely love to book with her again in the future.”

“I will book with Nailah 10 times out of 10. She is consistent with communication, very kind and caring, and professional. Nailah walks my dog about 6-8 times a month. I know Ivy loves the walks!”

“We've had to be away from home for long days for several weeks, and Anibal has been checking in on our dog twice/day almost every day. He is absolutely reliable, communicates extremely well & has been a real lifesaver during these times we've needed someone to keep an eye on our sweet dog.”

“Amelia is the best!!! She’s been so very patient with our dog, Leah, who has major anxiety issues. She’s always prompt and timely in her communication. Leah just adores her and that makes us very happy.”

“Edgar was great! He was willing to work with Tucker’s schedule and looked out for Tucker with other dogs as he hadn’t been fully vaccinated yet. I would totally recommend Edgar!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Glen
Drew is just fantastic! He gave both of my doggies such nice walks, took great pictures and updated me about how they were doing. I was very impressed because especially my dog Jack can be hard to handle. He didn’t bat an eye! Will definitely be using Drew again!!!

Wonderful experience! She provided great updates throughout the visit, sent plenty of photos, and took excellent care of my dog. Communication was easy, and it was reassuring to know he was in such good hands. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to others.

Carmen was great. She was able to accommodate a last minute booking and pivot when needed. We agreed on walks so to ensure her current guest dog’s needs were also met. I really appreciate her promptness and how well she took care of Oreo! Will use her again and recommend to others. Thanks Carmen!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
