Gio was an excellent dog walker. She helped me when my current dog walker could not continue walking buddy. She reported all the details of the visit efficiently and gave us peace of mind. She was informative and responsible. This was my first time using rover and I had a great experience thanks to Gio. She has a true love for dogs and what she does. I will definitely work with her in the future.

About: Looking for a reliable, adaptable friend to visit your dog midday? I've got you! And I'd love to meet your dog! My dog passed away in 2021 and I've been looking for opportunities to make some new furry friends ever since! I've played and walked and taken care of many dogs of many breeds and sizes at various levels of training. If you have specific training or behavioral goals for your dog, I will be sure to incorporate that into my visits. Currently, I work at my full-time job from 3:30am-noon and can be available as soon as 12:30pm or as soon as it takes me to travel to your pet's location. I am very flexible when it comes to the specifics in how you and your pet would like our visits to work! We could go for walks on a specific path, play to exercise and deplete built up energy, or simply run around in the fenced-in backyard for potty time.

About: I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, including puppies who require consistency, supervision, and reinforcement of basic training routines. I am also comfortable caring for senior pets who may need a slower pace, medication administration, extra patience, or special accommodations to keep them comfortable and safe. My goal is not only to meet a pet's basic needs but to make sure they feel loved, secure, and happy while their family is away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior changes, and I'm the kind of sitter who genuinely enjoys building a bond with the pets I care for. Whether it's helping a puppy burn off energy and stay on schedule or giving a senior pet the extra patience and comfort they deserve, I tailor my care to each animal's unique needs. I'm dependable, attentive, and believe pet parents should never have to wonder how their furry family member is doing, so I provide frequent updates and photos. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. ❤️🐾 Pet care fits easily into my daily life because I love animals and enjoy the companionship they bring. I make time each day for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I understand how important routines are, so I work hard to keep pets comfortable and on their normal schedule. Whether it's an energetic puppy who needs extra activity or a senior pet who needs a little more patience and care, I'm happy to adjust my routine to meet their needs and make them feel loved and secure. 🐶🐱💕 What sets you apart from other sitters? Be sure to include any special skills like training puppies or senior care. I want to respond in the best way. If this is for a pet-sitting profile, you want to highlight reliability, communication, and any special care you provide. Here's a strong response you can personalize: What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give every pet as if they were my own. I understand that leaving a beloved pet with someone else requires trust, so I make communication a priority by providing regular updates, photos, and messages for peace of mind. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. ❤️🐾 How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? Here's a professional yet personable response: Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether it's morning walks, feeding schedules, playtime, administering medications, or evening check-ins, I am committed to maintaining the routine your pet is accustomed to. I understand that consistency is important for pets, so I make reliability a priority. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, which makes walks and exercise an enjoyable part of my day. Caring for pets isn't just something I do—it's something I truly enjoy, and I take pride in making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. 🐾❤️ For a more warm and personal approach: Pet care fits easily into my daily life because I love animals and enjoy the companionship they bring. Whether it's an energetic puppy who needs extra activity or a senior pet who needs a little more patience and care, I'm happy to adjust my routine to meet their needs and make them feel loved and secure. 🐶🐱💕 How do you care for pets in your home and/or your client's home? This will vary depending on which service you offer. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication needs, and bedtime routines. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's environment and the owner's instructions. I know pets are often most comfortable in familiar surroundings, so I work to maintain their routine while providing companionship, exercise, and plenty of attention. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where they receive plenty of supervision, affection, and enrichment. I make sure they have opportunities for exercise, mental stimulation, rest, and individualized attention based on their personality and needs. Every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their preferences, habits, and any special requirements so they receive personalized care and feel like part of the family while they're with me. 🐾❤️

About: I used to be a manager at a dog shelter which I absolutely loved before moving to a new state. I’ve also grown up on a farm and handled all types of pets from goats, pigs, cows to dogs, cats, hamsters, and fish. I believe every animal deserves to be treated as family not just a pet. I am always home until 3pm when I leave for work, but when I am not home my partner is home. Someone will always be there to take care of your furry or scaly family and will never be left without someone even for a second. They will be welcomed with love, play, and kindness in my home. We will ensure nothing is around that will harm the animal whether it is cables, shoes, food, etc. we will always be around to ensure your pet is taken care of and in good health.

About: Hello and welcome!! With us, pet care is a family affair and we treat your pets like family! We grew up with pets of our own and we each bring our own pet care experience. Melina: I’ve been working with animals since 2016, starting as a dog walker and pet sitter before spending several years as a dog trainer. I later found my true passion as a dog groomer. As my grooming work has grown, my mom now leads pet sitting services while following the same care routines and standards I’ve always used. I remain involved when possible and truly value the relationships I’ve built with pets and their families. I have additional liability insurance that covers our home, our clients’ homes, and the animals in my care. Maria: I am an animal lover and I have been helping my daughters with pet sitting, boarding and dog walking since 2017. I am a retired snowbird, and when I am home, I just love to have furry friends to take care of. I love hiking and bike riding, so I am definitely able to tire out your energetic pup or cuddle with your couch potato. We recently lost our beloved senior Cockapoo, Ziggy. We’ve since added Cora Blue (whom we’re fostering to adopt) and cousin Luna (Schnauzer mix) visits often! Both pups love having furry friends over and are very welcoming! When your pups stay with us, they will have access to our entire home, dog friendly toys, puzzles and treats! They are also welcome on all furniture and beds! We even have a large fenced in yard, perfect for them to run around in! Thanks for visiting and please reach out with any questions! Offering pet care services full time, we have flexible schedules, with someone typically home most of the day. Your pup will be spoiled with all of the love and attention, as if they were our own! We love to plan walks, enrichment activities and all the fun and cuddles!! Pups have access to our entire home. They are allowed on our furniture and are welcome to sleep in our beds. If you prefer they sleep in their own bed or crate, please provide one for their stay. We have a large fenced in yard that is great for pups to stretch their paws, and play, while also keeping safety in mind.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Forest Glen. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forest Glen. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
