“We came back and used Teffni again for our cats when we went out of town and she did a terrific job as always! In addition to checking on food, water, and litter, she made time to get the two cats (who don't always get along) to play and engage. She also checked our home for potential issues/messes during the visits, was communicative with us via text, and took some great visit pictures to share with us. We'll be reaching out for future pet needs for sure.”

“Jana was my first experience with a rover sitter and I could not be more happy about it! She was really communicative about everything. She made a checklist for everything she needed to do for each visit and was really prepared. She also sent photo updates of my kitties and let me know every time she was with them. Jana also went above and beyond and made the kittens a toy for them to enjoy (so sweet!!) which really shows how much she cared about my kitties [and animals in general!] She took time to play with them and give them attention :) Jana made me feel so much better about having left my cats alone for a few days and I would book her again and I definitely recommend her services!”

“Hyunjung was amazing with our kitty Luna! She kept such great care of her during her check ins while we were away for the weekend. She was timely, attentive, and took tons of good quality (and adorable) photos of Luna. Highly recommend and appreciated her amazing level of care.”

“Cindy is AMAZING! She took such amazing care of my boys, and I will continue to book with her when I go out of town. She is someone who you can trust and my cats warmed up to her very quick!”

“Rebecca did great with our cats! She was so patient and kind with our shy kitty who also needs medicine, and was able to troubleshoot administration when things didn't go exactly to plan. Our girls will be excited to see her again in the future ❤️”

“Khadija is amazing! Given the pandemic, I had to book a sitter for my trip without meeting them beforehand, as my previous sitter was not available. Despite this, Khadija was consistently responsive during the booking phase and throughout the stay. My cat Rory was super happy and calm when I returned after 8 days and it was clear that he was looked after from Khadija's regular updates. Will be super happy to request Khadija to care for and play with Rory in the future. THANK YOU!”

“Ambar did a wonderful job taking care of our kitten Josie. She always provides a detailed report of how Josie is doing, which we really appreciate. Josie is very shy, but she loves playing with Ambar. We never worry about Josie when we have to go out of town because Ambar always does an amazing job. I highly recommend her!”

“Helene did a wonderful job taking care of Chester and Kate! She followed all care instructions and spend extra time visiting with them. Helene provided excellent communication and sent pictures of the kitties during each visit. In addition, she took in the mail, ran the dishwasher and took out the trash. Thank you for a job well done, Helene!”

“Julianna was great with Amber and very communicative! She updated me daily and made sure to give her lots of treats and playtime. This was my first time using Rover, and I'm so glad we worked with her!”

“I cannot Believe how awesome Jason has been. Very happy I found him to take care of my dog and go to my apartment to check on him!! Absolutely worth more than 5 stars”

“Drew went to my home daily for almost 2 weeks and took exceptional care of my 4 dogs. He left very good notes and did everything asked of him. I would definitely use Drew again to care for my dogs.”

“Thank you Carolina for taking such good care of our baby! Winnie struggles with eating and Carolina made sure to encourage her to eat and provide her with lots of snuggles and play time.”

“Ilana has been checking in our dog, Bentley, during weekdays since January. She's been very reliable, easy to communicate with, and we can tell that she ensures our buddy gets exercise and love! Would highly recommend her. Thanks Ilana!”

About: You name it, I probably have lovingly done it. From medical care, giving shots, playing, training, elder pet care, cleaning ears, wiping paws, giving baths, walking and playing with super high energy pets, etc., I can handle it. I specialize in anxious dogs. I get that there is a formula for making them feel safe and I can follow it to a T, plus I have a lot of tools and tricks. I also specialize in elder care of pets. Beyond medical needs which I am comfortable doing, I also have tons of ways of engaging elders pets that can no longer play nor walk like they used. I am loving, lead with empathy, and NEVER strike nor yell at a pet. That should go without saying, but I like to be very clear. I can assert leadership for pets that need it. I can handle any size pet and I get that each pet has their own needs, so don't worry if your dog has a long list of things they cannot do or a list of needs. I get it! I am currently working part time from home and my breaks and hours are flexible, so I am always available. Very occasionally I work outside the home for no more than 5 hours at a time. I care for pets in my home and at their home as well. I have a big back yard that is fenced in on all sides. I go outside with the pets most of the time and engage and play with them. I don't just let them out. There are 2 people parks near my home (one well shaded and great for hot summer days) that are great for walking to. I find dogs like to people watching too. I think giving pups time to sniffy snoop around is important. I even have a backpack with a mesh screen "window" for a cat as some cats love walks. In your home, I follow their routine to give them a sense of security, play, train, and introduce new toys and tricks if your pup is up for that. With cats I can read their cute little faces pretty well and give them what they want: play, pets, scratches, and/or, for example, introduce them to new smells to engage their minds.

Melissa does a great job with our cats. You can see why she has earned her Star Sitter status on Rover. It is nice to have someone take such good cared of our cats, and to be so reliable, such that our cats are well taken care of, and we can have peace of mind while on vacation.

Jazzel was awesome! No complaints at all. I needed someone to check on my cats while I was away, and even with very short notice, she was able to fit us in her schedule and took great care of them. She sent multiple photos during every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind, and even my super skittish scaredy cat warmed up to her after a few days. I would 100% recommend her, and she’ll definitely be my first choice the next time I need someone to care for my cats! :)

Abigail was amazing! I have four cats and needed 1 drop in visit each day for food/water/litter box. I really appreciated the recaps each day with pictures. It was a huge relief knowing my fur babies were in good hands while we were away. We will absolutely be using her for future bookings.

I needed someone to drop in for an hour for several days while I was out of town. Alyssa was always so punctual and gave me the best updates. My cat was so happy and the key hand off was a breeze. I highly recommend Alyssa. She’s very responsible and kind, and I will book her again :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Kensington. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
