You can tell from the pictures she sends that she enjoys taking care of and playing with our little guys—and they’re happy to be with her as well! “I couldn’t be happier with the care my cat, Ivy, received! Summar arrived right on time for the appointment and made sure to keep me updated on how Ivy was doing. The photo she sent of them bonding was all I needed to know that my cat was in great hands—it gave me such peace of mind while I was away. She truly went above and beyond, not only taking excellent care of Ivy but also cleaning her dishes, picking up litter debris, and making sure the cat waste was properly taken care of. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cabin John
Stephanie stepped in on short notice and took great care of our dog and cat while we were away? She left helpful notes, sent photos and gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were out of town! I would definitely recommend her and will reach out to her when we travel again.

So impressed! I highly recommend Evelyn and Rover. This was my first time using Rover and I was quite cautious. Evelyn allayed all concerns. She came to meet the cats a couple days before I left and they both loved her. She asked poignant questions and made sure she was clear on all my requests. Every day I got pictures of them playing and was able to see when she checked in and when she checked out. She was super responsive before leaving and during my trip. While I was gone there was a water outage in my building that she handled beautifully (including bringing bottled water for the cats.). A+ to Evelyn! I highly recommend her and will be asking for her on future trips. So pleased with the whole Rover experience.
Fran is wonderful and I felt at ease with her checking in on my cats. She made their treat time more exciting/stimulating by adding toys to a treat maze and always tries to engage my shy kitties. I appreciate that she takes notes and asks good questions about care preferences.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
