“Lingshan was fantastic! She checked in on my cat over the holidays, and she was so attentive and thoughtful in her care of our cat and home. We will highly recommend her!”

“I needed a cat sitter on short notice and found Alice. I never used Rover before so it was a bit daunting to ask someone I never met to take care of our cat Pinky. However I sensed I could trust Alice 100% from the moment I spoke to her. She is very friendly, helpful and professional. She owns cats herself so she knew exactly what was needed. She provided picture and detailed updates while we were away. Pinky absolutely adored Alice and I didn’t worry about Pinky while I was away. I knew she was in great hands. I highly recommend Alice and would definitely book her again!”

“Xin is amazing, she bonded with our cat immediately and took great care of her. She has a special way of connecting with pets. We’ll be using her moving forward. Totally recommend!”

“Francis was an exceptionally attentive care giver for our cat Gallie. Francis provided an enriched and engaging environment with a whole lot of comfort, a challenge for a 17+ cat! We received regular communication and photographs from Francis, with crucial information letting us know our precious and special needs kitty was in excellent hands!”

“Sophia took great care of my cat while I was away. I’ve never had someone watch my cat before and she listened to all of my thoughts and answered my questions kindly. Sophia sent updates and photos while I was away and I am thankful she cared for my cat so well!”

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats since I was 17. Family, neighbors, and friends have trusted me to walk, feed, clean up after, and comfort their pets while they’re away. Whether it’s a snuggly cat or an energetic pup, I always approach animals with patience and love. I currently work part-time, so I’m flexible and can make time for drop-in visits or overnight stays at your home. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays after 2PM. I’ll treat your home with care—and your pets like family. I do not offer boarding in my own home, but I provide thoughtful, reliable care in your space—where your pets feel most secure. I respect your home, follow your pet’s routine, and ensure they feel safe, soothed, and seen while you’re away.
About: I’ve cared for family and friend’s cats since I was a teenager. I’ve grown up with cats and have always had at least one or two in the house (at one time there were five). I have worked as a veterinary technician and am comfortable giving medications, injections, fluids, and checking blood glucose. I’m a cat person at heart and will give your cats tons of love while they’re in my care. I work full time Monday through Friday, but am available for drop ins before 6 AM and after 3:30 PM on these days. My weekend schedule is completely open and flexible. My goal is to make my time caring for your pets as stress free as possible - for both you and your pets. I follow all of your rules and requests very closely and will often take my own detailed notes to ensure that I don’t miss anything. I respect your home as if it’s my own. I take the time to acclimate your pets to my presence. You can expect plenty of pictures and/or videos of your pets while they’re in my care, along with any updates, questions, or concerns that may arise.
“Ariana is amazing! We were headed on an international trip which can be hard on our cat, but Ariana’s expertise and skillfulness with our kitty made us feel so reassured while we were away. She was highly communicative in her updates, engaged our cat in the play and cuddles he needed, and went above and beyond by trying different methods to help him eat his special kidney wet food. We came home to a really happy cat and will definitely be booking again! Thank you so much, Ariana!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I can remember. From house sitting, to walking them, to even taking care of my own dog. I’ve worked with different breeds and ages, and I love them all! I stay at home mostly throughout the week, and I’ve been wanting to get out a couple of times, and this would be the perfect opportunity to take care of your dogs in walking, or dropping by to play! I live in an apartment complex, so I would have to go to where you are to walk/play with your dog, or I could take them to a dog park!

“So nice and goes over the top to help accommodate your traveling, etc. to help take care of your pets. If Darla and I weren’t moving, we would gladly ask her to take us on again.”

About: I will be happy to take care of your dog/dogs. My family and me have a lot of experience in doing so since we have our own dog, and often do dog sitting for our friends. I am studying online, and my parents work online full time. We have a lot of time and desire to make your dog’s stay with us comfortable. We are available at any time. I live in a big house with my family. We have a fenced backyard. We also have a super friendly Shetland Sheepdog, who will keep your fur baby company. We also live close to a huge park.

“Melissa took very good care of my cat while I was away! In addition to feeding and checking in, she made sure to bond and play with my cat, which was wonderful :) She also made sure to send me detailed updates and pictures with every check-in. Highly recommend!”

“Jennifer just started sitting for our two cats this trip and was wonderful with them, carefully following our detailed written directions and everything we covered in our great meet-and-greet, and had awesome communication throughout. She's so dedicated and we appreciate her love for taking care of furry kids. We are so glad we found her, are grateful for her, and look forward to her taking care of them in the future!”

“I was super comfortable having Rachel come take care of my cat. She took the time to stay and hangout with her too. I could tell in the many photos Rachel shared that my cat loved her. Will definitely have her cat sit again!”

Potomac cat parents share their Rover experiences
Ashley was amazing! We had to unfortunately book a last minute trip for the holidays for the passing of my dad, and Ashley was not only available last minute, but quickly to respond to any messages and super patient with us while we worked out details. She went above and beyond, even bringing in our packages and trash cans, and of course taking great care of our pets. I felt completely at ease knowing our fur babies were in great hands and we will definitely be using her as our go-to sitter from here on out.

Sonia was great! She took great care of our older cat for more than a week when I was out of town. Sonia was very communicative and very flexible when we had to add more visits unexpectedly. I was updated the whole time and felt very comfortable that our sweet boy was well looked after. She also was kind enough to bring in some items that were left outside our home while we were away. Would gladly recommend Sonia.
