“Lingshan is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, not just toward pets, but in everything she does. My cat seemed comfortable and well cared for the entire time, which gave me real peace of mind during my vacation. What truly stood out was how she went above and beyond: she even helped me quickly access important information from a time-sensitive delivery while I was traveling. That level of thoughtfulness and trustworthiness is rare. If you’re looking for someone responsible, dependable, and truly compassionate, I highly recommend her. I would absolutely book with her again.”

“William really put us at ease with his kindness, attention to detail and overall professionalism during our absence. Our boy was his regular self when we returned which speaks to the calm effective way he was cared for. Thanks William!”

“I needed a cat sitter on short notice and found Alice. I never used Rover before so it was a bit daunting to ask someone I never met to take care of our cat Pinky. However I sensed I could trust Alice 100% from the moment I spoke to her. She is very friendly, helpful and professional. She owns cats herself so she knew exactly what was needed. She provided picture and detailed updates while we were away. Pinky absolutely adored Alice and I didn’t worry about Pinky while I was away. I knew she was in great hands. I highly recommend Alice and would definitely book her again!”

“Sophia was incredible. She came to our house and shone as an amazing pet sitter. She had time, experience with pet sitting and she asked all the right questions. She played with our cats and even picked up a bag of chocolate that was on the floor for us which would have been a big hazard. Sophia went above and beyond and did the litter and our cats are very picky. I feel overall the cats were well loved and cared for while we were away which is a great blessing and I’m so glad we booked Sophia to take care of our pet needs. I recommend her 10/10. Thank you Sophia!!!”

“Jennifer was great to work with and took care of our elderly companions Poppy and Calli. She took them for a short walk and fed them for every visit. I look forward to using her as a regular sitter. Thanks again Jennifer!”

“Xin is super responsive person and takes care well with my little cat. She spent enough time with my cat and kept letting me know his condition and eating amount and so on. I recommend her a lot!”

“Abigail is fantastic! My cat loves her and feels very comfortable around her. She updated us with detailed info and pics everyday. Thanks Abigail, you’re Fiona’s favorite person now :)”

About: I will be happy to take care of your dog/dogs. My family and me have a lot of experience in doing so since we have our own dog, and often do dog sitting for our friends. I am studying online, and my parents work online full time. We have a lot of time and desire to make your dog’s stay with us comfortable. We are available at any time. I live in a big house with my family. We have a fenced backyard. We also have a super friendly Shetland Sheepdog, who will keep your fur baby company. We also live close to a huge park.
“Jane did an excellent job taking care of my cat, brought in a package for me, and even helped out a day longer than previously planned due to my flight being cancelled. I highly recommend her services.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I can remember. From house sitting, to walking them, to even taking care of my own dog. I’ve worked with different breeds and ages, and I love them all! I stay at home mostly throughout the week, and I’ve been wanting to get out a couple of times, and this would be the perfect opportunity to take care of your dogs in walking, or dropping by to play! I live in an apartment complex, so I would have to go to where you are to walk/play with your dog, or I could take them to a dog park!
About: I've cared for multiple cats and dogs of friends and families over the years and have some professional experience. I worked at DogiZone in Rockville for nearly a year (2020-2021) and for a few months at Scooter's Pet Care in Seattle, WA (2025), as a pet care technician. Part of my responsibilities included walking, exercising, administering medication, bathing, and spending the night with dogs of all ages and sizes. I also have some training experience and have worked with up to 30 dogs at one time. I'm currently not working until the summer is over, so I am very flexible. My schedule is totally open for dog or cat sitting, walking, or check-ins. The way I care for your pets is up to you; I can adapt to your needs, whatever they may be. I am comfortable crating pets if need be, but I prefer to let my own pets roam free throughout my house. With puppies or smaller dogs, I keep a close eye on their activities, especially when they're outside.
“Danny was very dependable and came to let our 2 dogs out exactly when he said he would. He sent a photo and let me know how they were doing. I would definitely book with him again!”
“Francis took great care of our 2 girls (cats)!! She provided us updates daily including pictures and videos which was much appreciated. We will definitely be booking her next time we’re out of town.”

“Rachel did a wonderful job taking care of our fur babies. We have a senior dog who requires a lot of care and we had no worries what so ever while we were away with all the updates and pictures of her visits. I would highly recommend Rachel for all your pet care needs!”

Potomac cat parents share their Rover experiences
Ashley was an absolute gem! She was completely reliable; we never had to wonder if she’d show up or follow through. The adorable photos she sent at every visit became the little highlight of our day we’d find ourselves looking forward to. The biggest sign she was doing something right? Our cat normally wolfs down her food out of anxiety or boredom when we travel — with Ashley, she ate totally calmly and looked happy in the photos. That said it all. We’re so grateful for the peace of mind and will 100% be rebooking her. Highly recommend!

One of the best pet sitters I have had. I have an older cat with medical problems. My 2nd cat can be aggressive with strangers especially when giving my older cat meds. She had the least problems of any pet sitter and was great with handling both. She is reliable and competent. Just did an amazing job.
