“Tricia was excellent with our large dogs! This was our first time leaving the dogs at home and I was nervous but Tricia made me feel so relaxed and comfortable! She was on time every time and sent me pictures and notes. We were very happy we met Tricia and will definitely rebook with her again without a doubt!”

“Jennifer was immediately available to help with our dogs while we were managing multiple house guests for our mother’s wake and funeral. We were very grateful for her services.”

“Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”

“I’ve used Christina during my vacations and even emergency needs for two years now. She has always been very approachable and flexible! She has always shown my cats so much love and attention during her visits with cuddles and play time. I would recommend Christina to anyone for their pet sitting needs!”

“Amanda did an amazing job taking care of our cats and even got our shy cat to play while we were gone! Will definitely recommend and book her again in the future!”

“We were very impressed and happy with Youyou’s care of Poe! She was very professional, and performed the tasks we asked her to do perfectly. We were grateful for her coming and going notices and appreciated her comments about Poe’s behaviors. Understanding our concerns about Poe’s adapting to a new caretaker, at our request, Youyou took extra time beyond her scheduled time to check on Poe for us. We would definitely invite Youyou back to care for Poe. Thank you, Paula and Thomas”

“Jessi was fantastic at taking care of our cat while we were gone over the holidays. She was a great communicator and did such a great job at getting our shy cat to warm up to her. Would recommend hiring Jessi for your cat care needs!”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life. I got my first dog when I was 6 and cared for her until I moved abroad at 17. I also adopted a cat at 15 and have been responsible for her daily care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I am generally available on weekdays and weekends with flexible hours. Monday–Friday: 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM Weekends: Available all day (morning, afternoon, and evening) I am able to adjust my schedule with advance notice when needed and can accommodate regular or recurring walks as well as occasional bookings. I am especially flexible on weekends and during school breaks. I always prioritize the safety and comfort of every pet in my care. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets are never left unattended in unsafe situations. I provide a calm, clean, and caring environment, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved.
About: I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been loving animals since before I can remember & have been caring for pets since I was 7!! I love all animals, & I have a sweet cat named Pippa that I love to spoil here in Northern Virginia. I volunteer at local adoption events to get my fill of the sweet pups, & I can’t wait to meet your pets too!! I’m a graduate student in my residency year and I work 4 days a week, so I’m free every evening as well as Sunday, Monday, and Friday all day. You know your pet best, & I’m more than happy to follow your care guidelines for your pet to keep them safe & comfortable in their own environment!

About: I’ve had my own cat since 2023 and have experience caring for animals both personally and for friends and family. I’ve cat sat and dog sat multiple times, cared for my family’s cat throughout his life, and help take care of my brother’s cat when he’s home. I genuinely love animals and always do my best to make pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m currently working as a paralegal and mainly work from home/remotely, so I have flexibility in my schedule to visit homes to pet sit as well as to board pets. If I do go in person, I know ahead of time and am able to work it into my schedule and plan accordingly. At home, I have one cat who keeps to herself. I have lots of food bowls and litter boxes as well as a large front and back yard for animals that like to play outside. My neighborhood is safe, walkable, and pet-friendly, as lots of my neighbors also own pets.
About: I've grown up with a Bullmastiff and later a Retriever. So I know my way around bigger and heavier dogs as well as more active and energetic ones. I am looking forward to apply those experiences to sitting and walking your four-legged companions with the similar dedication. In addition, we’ve recently lost our Charlie (my golden retriever) and would love to spend time with your pets to try to fill in that gap. But we are in the process of getting a new golden puppy, so puppy requests are welcome as well!
About: I had my two spunky Rhodesian ridgebacks for nine years and loved every minute of hiking, cross country adventures, and snuggles. Love caring for dogs and keeping them healthy through exercise! I’d love to walk/feed your pets in the evenings and weekends. I can adjust my schedule as needed to walk during the day as well. I’m extremely reliable, dependable and nurturing towards my pet friends. I have experience with two strong dogs and will maintain a calm presence when in your home and out and about with your dogs.
“Victoria willingly accepted to sit my dog while I went on a last-minute work trip. She sent daily pictures, kept up with the dog's schedule flawlessly, and maintained constant communication. Truly a professional in every sense of the word. I'll seek her services again and recommended her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy sitter.”

About: I have owned dogs and cats my whole entire life. I have dog-watched for neighbors since I was about 12 years old. I am very loving towards animals and am skilled in washing and walking them. There is nothing better than getting to hang out with animals as they provide an unmatched love in our lives. I currently own two disabled dogs so I like to think no challenge is too big or too small. I enjoy dogs and cats of all sizes. I am very good with time management so I plan to work with you to make sure your pet is getting the best attention while you are away from home. I appreciate your time in considering me for the jobs! I work a remote 9-5 so most evenings I am open but I am willing to schedule something out between work and your pet if you need me mid day I listen to the energy the animal is giving off. I try my best to clear myself of negative feelings and stress so the animals feel more at ease amongst my presence

About: I have dog sat and cat sat for many years growing up in my neighborhood. I have a dog of my own, Sascha, a 3 year old Doberman who is very energetic and loving. I am experienced with elderly animals too! Let me know any specific needs your furry family member needs, and I will tend to them, hand to paw 🐾. I am very active, and would love to take dogs on an adventure, not just a walk! That includes any hikes and trails near your home. I am currently unemployed, recently graduated from college and looking for work so I can pick up times when people are at regular 9-5 jobs! I can get up super early or late to come and care for your furry family members. I have a large fenced yard and a very friendly and docile Doberman, Sascha. As well I am very respectful of others homes, you will only know I was there from how happy your animals are!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Belleview
Yasmeen settled my cat Leela who was not happy about being left alone, and in just a day or two all issues disappeared. Incredible cat rapport, I can't say enough good things about how the cat visits went. Yasmeen is a cat therapist, way more than a sitter, and I will unhesitatingly ask for her help again.

Alex is so amazing! She’s taken care of our cats twice now and it’s been great each time. Very communicative and accommodating, stays longer than we even say, and takes a lot of pictures and videos :). One of our cats was also on medications and she handled that with ease as well! Definitely would rebook!

Lauren was great with my two cats. She was very friendly, attentive and I felt very comfortable having her care for them. One of my kitties has asthma and she was able to administer his inhaler which was fantastic! Will absolutely book with her again in the future 😊

I had a wonderful experience with Bijiao! she took amazing care of my two cats — playing with them, cleaning the litter box, feeding them, and refilling their water every day. She was very attentive and caring, and I could tell my cats felt comfortable and happy. I highly recommend Bijiao to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter!

Talia has taken care of NumNum several times, and every visit has been wonderful. She’s attentive, reliable, and clearly loves animals. NumNum was always happy and well cared for. I’d definitely book with her again if she ever moves back to the area. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter!

Miguel was great and actually managed to get my notoriously shy cat to come out and play, which my previous Rovers had not been able to do. He was very understanding and helped me out for a very long period while I was out of the country and hard to reach. I highly recommend him!

Five Stars for Nicole — Twice Over! Nicole has watched my cats twice now for 5-day stays, and both times have been absolutely seamless. My cats can be a little particular, but they were calm, happy, and clearly well-loved under her care. She sends great updates, sweet photos, and really pays attention to the little things — whether it’s keeping the litter boxes clean, following feeding routines exactly, or just making sure the cats feel safe and comfy. I came home each time to two relaxed cats and a spotless space. It’s such a relief knowing I can trust someone like Nicole while I’m away. I’ll definitely be booking with her again — just don’t fill up her schedule too much, I need her! 😄

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Belleview. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
