“Kayly is AMAZING!!! She house sat for us and always communicated through texts and pics to let us know how our doggo was doing. She took Rizzo for walks around the neighborhood, played fetch with her, snuggled; all the things our dog loves :) She went above and beyond and we will absolutely be reaching out to Kayly again when we are away.”

“We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Anne was incredibly communicative and kept us updated with pictures and messages about Nico which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. The photos were so sweet and really captured how well Nico was being cared for. On top of that, she left our home spotless and organized. Truly above and beyond- we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful and caring sitter!”

“Rosemary was incredibly easy to work with to schedule our meet and greet and travel dates. Our dogs and cats immediately took to her. Rosemary sent many pictures while we were away. All of our pets were happy and well cared for while we were away.”

“Jessica was terrific about helping us out at the last minute with house sitting while my 99 year old mother was in the hospital, and her discharge was quite delayed. Jessica stayed with our English Setter to make sure he could snuggle with her and be taken out for walks in our fenced backyard. She sent photos and even offered to help us get my mom safely back into our home.”

“Elizabeth was absolutely fantastic. She communicated regularly and sent pictures often. She also went above and beyond cleaning up which was a nice surprise after a week of business travel. I would highly recommend her and will be reaching out again.”

“Allegra was amazing!! Probably the best dog sitter we've ever had. Very communicative, flexible, and on top of things (plus my dogs loved her). If you want to have a stress-free time, you should totally hire Allegra to watch your pets. I know that if I ever need a sitter in the future, she is going to be who I go to first.”

“Korrey did such a good job with our dog. He focused on putting her at ease, and prioritized her comfort and keeping her on schedule. We really appreciated that Korrey was so communicative with issues and questions. We came home to a happy dog and a pristine house, so we'd gladly work with Korrey again!”

“Juan was ABSOUTLEY amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure my nephew Apollo’s was comfortable and loved. He also went even further resetting the whole house (cleaning dishes, comforter, etc.)! When ever Apollo is in VA I will always make sure I check if Juan is available first before looking for other sitters. Juan’s communication was also stellar! Sending pictures and constant contact which helped my anxiety tremendously. He followed my provided guide with flying colors and when Apollo got a little sick helped him back to perfect stool! Thank you so much Juan we really appreciate your care for animals and your attention to detail!”

“Danny did a phenomenal job watching our two dogs, three cats and one bird over the holidays while we dealt with unexpected must do travel. When we needed to extend a few days, he graciously accommodated that as well.”

“Morgan was exactly the sitter our pups needed! We were able to go on our trip without any worries at all. Her updates were regular and showed what a great time they were having. One of our dogs is quite particular when it comes to sitters and they were fast friends. House was left spotless and all mail and packages were brought in. Could not recommend Morgan more!”

About: I’m a pre-vet student who just graduated from UVA and has grown up with two large dogs! I’ve also recently owned a hamster from a college lab! I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family including puppies, kittens, and senior dogs and cats. I also have about 100 hours of dog walking experience from a shelter so I am comfortable with reactive/fearful/energetic dogs, and another 100 from shadowing at a vet practice. I am currently looking for a vet assistant job so my schedule is open 7 days a week! I am used to all day pet sitting. I always make sure that I understand the instructions that I’m given and maintain clear communication with the owner if I have any questions. I never make any assumptions and always make sure that the owner is comfortable with any decisions that need to be made.
“I cannot say enough great things about Asal! It was clear she was so wonderful with our two year old dog, Cookie, since we came home to an extremely happy pup. Asal was very communicative which put me at ease since I only recently opened up to the idea of having anyone outside of friends/family watch Cookie. She also took out our trash and left our home exactly how we left it which was so appreciated! We will definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Morgan was excellent! She house sat for us and watched our dog over a long weekend. She understood the shyness of our boy and let him warm up to her and provided daily updates. She was courteous and brought her boyfriend with her to the meet and greet so we could see would be at our home with her. Our house was clean and tidy when we got back home. We’d definitely book again!”

“Amanda exceeded my expectations. She asked good questions at our meet and greet. It's been a great relief to not worry about my dogs. She sends frequent updates and makes it super easy to contact her.”

Clare did a fantastic job house sitting and watching our dog for 12 days. She kept us well informed and shared lots of pictures so we could see how he was doing every day. When the power went out for an extended period, she was on top of things and even offered to take our dog to her home until power returned. I would definately use her services again and highly recommend her as a provider.

We couldn’t have asked for a better house sitter for Huckleberry. From the moment we left, she was communicative, responsive, and gave us complete peace of mind. She clearly developed a real bond with Huck, and it showed. He absolutely adored her. She walked him three times a day, gave him plenty of attention, and even surprised him with a thoughtful birthday gift that he now proudly carries around everywhere. She also went above and beyond with a few last-minute requests, like watering our vegetable garden, and left our home in absolutely perfect condition. Huck is an easygoing dog, so there weren’t any behavioral issues or special challenges, but what stood out was the genuine care and affection she showed him. It’s obvious she loves animals, and they love her back. We recommend her without hesitation and will absolutely be booking with her again. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and who will care for your pet like they’re her own, she’s the one.

Alice was absolutely fantastic, and we would not hesitate to use her again in the future. We were a bit nervous using a new sitter for the first time while leaving on an international trip, especially because one of our dogs is very high energy. Alice exceeded our expectations in every way and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. During our trip, one of our dogs developed an upset stomach, and Alice was exceptional at communicating with us throughout the entire situation. She kept us updated regularly, handled everything calmly and thoughtfully, and made sure our dog was well cared for. When we returned home, both dogs were happy and well cared for, and our house was honestly in even better condition than when we left it. It was clear that Alice treated both our pets and our home with incredible care and respect. We would absolutely recommend Alice to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and caring house and pet sitter.

As usual, Madi was the absolute most caring, trustworthy, communicative, timely dog sitter. We had an all evening engagement, and it feels so nice leaving our pup with someone we so totally trust for such a long time. She sent great pictures, made sure he got plenty of exercise, and gave him lots of attention. Strudel is always excited to see Madi and we understand why. We have now booked Madi several times, and will continue to do so. So if you need a repeatable, dependable dog sitter , you should look no further!

Jessica stayed with our English Setter to make sure he could snuggle with her and be taken out for walks in our fenced backyard. Erika was wonderful to all our babies in our first time leaving them with anyone other than family! She checked in multiple times a day with updates and photos, and she treated our giant lab, skittish tuxedo cat, and little tortoise with kindness and care. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again, and it’s a relief and a joy to know we can plan vacations again! She also went above and beyond to help us out by moving our cars when an unplanned paving project popped up while we were in another state. She was a joy, and I can’t say enough great things about her!

Amber did a great job house sitting for us over the Christmas holiday. We have two large dogs that she watched during this time. She provided detailed updates and photos, making us comfortable that our pups and house were in good hands while we were away. I would definitely recommend Amber.

Extremely to have found Lexy!! She provided exceptional care to my 5.5 year old golden retriever for 10+ days! She provided multiple daily updates & pictures and truly gave me peace of mind that was Rufus was being well cared for! Lexy adhered to all of the care instructions and my requests and treated my home as if it was her own! Cannot thank her enough!

Ruth took wonderful care of my dog Jackie for five days. She was caring, loving, and treated Jackie as if he were her own. I especially appreciated how she kept me updated throughout the stay with messages and pictures, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Jackie was happy and well looked after, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Ruth to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate caregiver.

Sofi is an absolutely lovely young woman, and was a fantastic house/dog sitter. Sofi is a very bright, caring, responsible, and mature person. We knew from our first meeting that we could trust her and felt very comfortable leaving our 2 dogs in her care. She did not disappoint! We highly recommend Sofi and will definitely call on her for future sitting needs.

FAQs for House Sitting - Belleview
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Belleview on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 10,387 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Belleview. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Belleview walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Belleview maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Belleview choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
