About: I’m a pre-vet student who just graduated from UVA and has grown up with two large dogs! I’ve also recently owned a hamster from a college lab! I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family including puppies, kittens, and senior dogs and cats. I also have about 100 hours of dog walking experience from a shelter so I am comfortable with reactive/fearful/energetic dogs, and another 100 from shadowing at a vet practice. He can be reactive on walks and is a super anxious boy in general so I have experience managing nervous dogs. Leo has taught me to see every dog as a cherished family member and loyal companion. When I meet a dog, I want to make them feel as loved and special as they make us feel everyday. My goal is to spend as much time as possible with dogs and I would love to meet yours! I know how exhausting it can be to work and meet your pets needs, and I would love to give you some peace of mind knowing they’ve gotten attention, love, and exercise while you’re busy. YASMEEN IS AWESOME!! Yasmeen cared for my two cats and my home for two and a half weeks while I was out of the country. I cannot say enough good things about her. At our meet and greet, she was warm and friendly and asked excellent questions. Any anxiety I had about being gone for so long disappeared after meeting Yasmeen. While I was gone, Yasmeen was proactive in sending updates, pictures and video of the cats. One had just started needing medicine with her meals, and Yasmeen handled that with ease. I could tell from the video updates that my cats felt comfortable with her - and in fact one of them shared lots of cuddles and play time. When I returned, my house was just as I left it, and the cats were happy and healthy. I'm sure they miss her! I am so grateful to Yasmeen and will definitely work with her again!
Gregory (Dean), was a terrific house sitter for our large mixed breed boy while we took a bucket list vacation for two weeks. He took good care of both our dog and our home, watered plants, brought in mail, and did great job bonding with our sometimes shy guy. I would absolutely recommend him.
Clare did a fantastic job house sitting and watching our dog for 12 days. She kept us well informed and shared lots of pictures so we could see how he was doing every day. When the power went out for an extended period, she was on top of things and even offered to take our dog to her home until power returned. Alice was absolutely fantastic, and we would not hesitate to use her again in the future. We were a bit nervous using a new sitter for the first time while leaving on an international trip, especially because one of our dogs is very high energy. Alice exceeded our expectations in every way and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Katherine took care of our dog in our home while we were away - if she had not been available we wouldn't have booked the tickets.
