About: I’m a pre-vet student who just graduated from UVA and has grown up with two large dogs! I’ve also recently owned a hamster from a college lab! I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family including puppies, kittens, and senior dogs and cats. I also have about 100 hours of dog walking experience from a shelter so I am comfortable with reactive/fearful/energetic dogs, and another 100 from shadowing at a vet practice. I am currently looking for a vet assistant job so my schedule is open 7 days a week! I am used to all day pet sitting. I always make sure that I understand the instructions that I’m given and maintain clear communication with the owner if I have any questions. I never make any assumptions and always make sure that the owner is comfortable with any decisions that need to be made.

He can be reactive on walks and is a super anxious boy in general so I have experience managing nervous dogs. Leo has taught me to see every dog as a cherished family member and loyal companion. When I meet a dog, I want to make them feel as loved and special as they make us feel everyday. My goal is to spend as much time as possible with dogs and I would love to meet yours! I know how exhausting it can be to work and meet your pets needs, and I would love to give you some peace of mind knowing they’ve gotten attention, love, and exercise while you’re busy. I am a student home for the summer and am free until September, but am taking a couple of weekends away so make sure to check my calendar. I am open to spending time with your dog in your home during the day and stay overnight for up to a week. I can do mealtimes and take walks/backyard playtime. And of course, will include endless cuddles.
About: I love to care for all animals. I think they’re the most innocent and precious things we’ve got in this world and we should never take them for granted. I love them soo much and on top of making their day better by caring for them And playing with them, they make my day better as well when i need to put a smile on my face. Gregory (Dean), was a terrific house sitter for our large mixed breed boy while we took a bucket list vacation for two weeks. He took good care of both our dog and our home, watered plants, brought in mail, and did great job bonding with our sometimes shy guy. I would absolutely recommend him.
First of all Marie is just an all around lovely person. I really enjoyed meeting her and getting to know her. She is also a great pet sitter. My pets are a little challenging. While they are sweet, they also need a lot emotionally and each one has a special consideration that makes them just a little more difficult than the average pet. Marie did a great job caring for them and my home. I had never used rover before and she relieved all my anxiety about this new experience. She was wonderful and I am so grateful for her having been here with my needy crew while I was away.
