“Elizabeth was absolutely fantastic. She communicated regularly and sent pictures often. She also went above and beyond cleaning up which was a nice surprise after a week of business travel. I would highly recommend her and will be reaching out again.”

“Always amazing with my dogs! One of my pups was suffering from an upset stomach the night before my trip and Oriana went out of her way to feed her a special diet of pumpkin all week. I really appreciate when a sitter goes out of their way to take care of my senior pets 🙏❤️”

“Ashley was absolutely wonderful with Coco while we were away. She kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, gave us peace of mind, and followed all of Coco’s routines perfectly. It was clear from every update that Coco was happy, relaxed, and loved. She even stayed flexible with timing and made sure everything was smooth until we got back. We are so grateful for her care and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and attentive sitter!”

“Lei is a fantastic pet sitter. She cared for my 3 year old golden retriever in my home while I was on vacation for a week and I felt very confident in all the care, attention, and love she gave to my pup while I was away. She kept me informed with many pictures and updates each day which I really appreciated. She paid great attention and followed all care instructions carefully. I enjoyed my vacation more knowing my pup was happy and in such good hands. We will use her again for sure and cannot recommend her enough!”

“I recently booked Juan to stay at my place while traveling and he did a great job. He provided me with daily updates about the walks, potty times, and feeding (since my dog is a little picky eater). He definitely took care of my dog as if he was his. My place was left cleaned and organized. I will add Juan as my primary in house dog sitter. Highly recommended. Thank you Juan!”

“My dog, Chloe, felt right at home with Kelley. Kelley was very communicative and sent fun pictures and videos of my happy dog :) She also followed instructions and was very responsible. I definitely recommend hiring her to take care of your furry friend!”

“Han did a wonderful job with our dog for 8 days! Our dog responded positively to her at the meet & greet and you could see Han’s affection for dogs. Throughout our vacation Han was communicating and sending pictures of our dog. She was kind and respectful and did a great job sitting our golden doodle in our family home. I would highly recommend Han - we look forward to booking her again.”

“Renee house sat our pitty mix for 11 days. She was very communicative during the whole period. She was also very respectful of our home. We came home to a very happy dog and a clean house! We definitely would book Renee's time again on our next trip.”

“Korrey took good care of our pup and our house while out of town for a week. We came home to a clean house and a well walked dog. He was able to administer our dogs medication too.”
“Jennifer was fantastic! She went above and beyond with her communication and how she took care of Chase. I got constant updates and pictures. She was extremely attentive and took care of Chase like he was her own.”

“I can leave my dogs without stress when Elena watches them. I know she will get creative when needed, understands they can be messy, and always gives them love and affection no matter the crazy :). Thank you!!”

“Ajia took amazing care of our dog Luna! She made sure to play with Luna and gave us tons of updates on our trip. It made us feel comfortable leaving our dog when she was in her care!”

“Jackson sat for our dog over Spring Break for a week and took excellent care of him. My dog ordinarily is suspicious of men and keeps his guard up for quite a while before he trusts a male visitor to our house. But Jackson is a true dog whisperer, because they were playing tug o war and fetch within 10 minutes of their first meeting! Jackson left our home in great condition and was polite and communicative throughout. We appreciated receiving photos and videos during the week that provided peace of mind. Would definitely recommend this responsible and lovely young man.”

“Anne is amazing! This was my first time leaving my chocolate lab since his cancer diagnosis and leg amputation, and I fully trusted her with the complexity of his care. She handled his meds and special needs with ease and kept me updated throughout. Couldn’t ask for better support.”

“I highly recommend Antonia as pet sitter and house sitter. She took care of our two cats and our home while we were away for eleven days, and she did an outstanding job. She kept our kitties happy and safe, and sent us photos every day so we knew they were OK. I really appreciated how quickly she responded to all of my messages. She took care of our plants too, and followed our instructions perfectly. I highly recommend Antonia for your home and pet-sitting needs.”

“Lucia did an amazing job sitting our dog Bailey overnight! She was so communicative with sending pictures and updates and Bailey seemed so happy when we got home! I was nervous about leaving our girl for the weekend and Lucia made it so much easier. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“We were grateful for Sophia to care for our home and pets. She did a great job and was very professional, and cared for everything well. We would recommend her and would work with her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bel Air
Elisabeth did a great job for us on July 11. She was prompt, arriving when I asked her to come, followed my instructions and communicated and sent pictures throughout the day. Came home after a long day to happy, stress free dogs. We will definitely reach out to her again if her availability allows. 👍
Gregory (Dean), was a terrific house sitter for our large mixed breed boy while we took a bucket list vacation for two weeks. He took good care of both our dog and our home, watered plants, brought in mail, and did great job bonding with our sometimes shy guy. I would absolutely recommend him.

First of all Marie is just an all around lovely person. I really enjoyed meeting her and getting to know her. She is also a great pet sitter. My pets are a little challenging. While they are sweet, they also need a lot emotionally and each one has a special consideration that makes them just a little more difficult than the average pet. Marie did a great job caring for them and my home. I had never used rover before and she relieved all my anxiety about this new experience. She was wonderful and I am so grateful for her having been here with my needy crew while I was away.

Raven is an amazing pet and house sitter! We’ve worked with Raven multiple times now, and it’s such a huge relief to have someone we trust caring for our pup while we are away. Raven always is proactive in her communication & clearly always has the best interests of our dog in mind. We already have our next booking set up and look forward to welcoming Raven into our home again!
Wow! Adrian was absolutely the best. He stayed in our home with our animals (cats and giant dog) for a long weekend, and he could not have been better. He provided regular updates, gave such attentive care to our pets, and he left the place cleaner than when he arrived. The animals really seemed to love him. We will be using Adrian again and cannot recommend him highly enough.
Sarah took wonderful care of our dog, Marley. She sent lots of photo updates throughout his stay. We always felt confident that Marley was safe, happy, and well cared for in her hands. We were especially grateful for Sarah’s flexibility when our flight home was canceled unexpectedly. She was able to extend her care and watch Marley for an extra morning until we could get home, which was an enormous help during a stressful travel situation. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and caring sitter.

Ozgenur was an absolutely amazing sitter for the weekend! She came over for a last minute meet and greet the day before we left. She was so professional and gave us lots of updates throughout the weekend. Our two dogs were so well cared for and I could tell they were so comfortable with her. We will absolutely be reaching out to her in the future and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.

Trusting someone with your pets can be so stressful, but Lei makes it easy! She is communicative, dependable and very kind to our two boys (1 cat/1 dog). Lei sends pictures regularly and gives informative summaries of her walks/check ins, so we’re never in the dark. Totally recommend her for any walks or stays!

I recently booked Juan to stay at my place while traveling and he did a great job. He provided me with daily updates about the walks, potty times, and feeding (since my dog is a little picky eater). He definitely took care of my dog as if he was his. My place was left cleaned and organized. I will add Juan as my primary in house dog sitter. Highly recommended. Thank you Juan!

FAQs for House Sitting - Bel Air
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Bel Air on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 10,146 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bel Air. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bel Air walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bel Air maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bel Air choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bel Air. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
