“Christina was incredibly responsive and showed our dogs lots of love while we were gone. One of our dogs doesn’t usually eat when we leave but Christina made her feel so comfortable that she ate all her meals. We received updates regularly while gone in addition to Christina making sure our home was taken care of. Highly recommend using Christina!”
“Andrea was very professional and also clearly likes animals. She was very clear with me about what she would do and when. I would hire her again. Great job!”

“Always amazing with my dogs! One of my pups was suffering from an upset stomach the night before my trip and Oriana went out of her way to feed her a special diet of pumpkin all week. I really appreciate when a sitter goes out of their way to take care of my senior pets 🙏❤️”

“Elizabeth is a great dog and house sitter! Our two dogs were very happy and our house was so clean like she had not been here at all! She was very communicative and responsive! Will definitely use again.”

“Orianne was amazing with our girl Brandy. She took the time to work through Brandy’s anxiety and was so patient and understanding along the way. It’s hard to come across sitters that pay attention to every little detail, but Orianne is beyond detailed oriented. Will definitely be booking her again without hesitation.”

“Kellie is an excellent pet sitter. She is reliable and responsive. She took great care of our two dogs for two weeks. This was our first time with Kellie and we plan to request her help in the future.”

“Korrey had excellent communication during my entire trip, was thoughtful and kind and conscientious. Being able to keep my pup in her own environment was a joy for her and me! And Korrey spoiled my Eva like she was his own - hang time, walks, and countless trips to the dog park (her favorite place on the planet! ) and sent pics of all their adventures. Korrey went above and beyond in every aspect and I look forward to reaching out to him the next time we're in need of a sitter!! Seriously cannot recommend him enough.”

“There’s nothing better than coming home to your dog after a long trip especially when he’s calm and relaxed because he was well taken care of. Juan allowed me this joy. It was the first time I’ve used him and Romeo took to him right away. Juan updated me daily and was responsive to messages. He also left my house in great condition. Thank you for taking care of my baby. We’ll be seeing you again!!”

“Fernanda was so helpful! We booked her last minute before a trip out of town for Memorial Day and she was able to accommodate us and stay at our own home with our two pups. She’s so responsive and gives updates every day. We are so glad to find someone who we can use in the future!”

Fantastic! The two most important things for us when leaving our pets with a sitter are the safety of our pets and good communication and Vivian knocked it out of the park on all fronts. Excellent communication from initial inquiry through the stay with regular updates, followed our (perhaps overly detailed) care instructions for our cat, dog and turtle and left our house spotless. Zero stress just wonderful and contentious care. We will definitely be booking Vivian next time we go away!
This was our first time working with Shereen, who took care of our 2 cats and our house while we were away for 12 days. When we met Shereen we were immediately impressed with her professionalism and demeanor and felt very comfortable leaving the cats and house in her care. Our trust was well placed as she did a great job taking care of everything while were gone and left the house incredibly clean, going above and beyond, washing the sheets and thoroughly cleaning the stovetop and other areas. We also really appreciated Shereen taking on a last-minute unexpected task coordinating several visits with contractors that had to do work at the house while we were away. On her departure, Shereen sent us an excellent unsolicited ‘check out’ video and written notes. We would not hesitate to recommend Shereen and will definitely work with her again in the future!

We couldn’t have asked for better care for our senior dog. Leaving her with Alicia truly felt like leaving her with family, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She went above and beyond to make sure our sweet girl was happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and the thoughtful updates made it clear she was in the best hands. On top of providing incredible care for our dog, Alicia treated our home with the same level of respect and attention. We came home to a happy pup and an immaculate house, there’s really nothing more we could have asked for. We’re so grateful to have found her and will absolutely be booking with Alicia again. We recommend her without hesitation!

Rosie took great care of my two cats. She was communicative and provided regular updates. She is also easygoing and friendly, and you can tell she enjoys being around pets. One of my cats has frequent respiratory issues and requires a very clean house. As a result, the floors needed to be steam-cleaned during Rosie’s stay, and she was happy to do it. Thank you, Rosie!
We had Sjoribel housesit for us for a second time - she watched Cleo for an entire week. Cleo got several walks a day and ate her meals. Sjoribel always gave us detailed updates and let us know if anything was off routine. We received photo updates every day which we loved. We came back to a spotless house and a happy dog. Highly recommend Sjoribel!

Sarah is the absolute best! She consistently goes above and beyond taking care of Barkley. She’s punctual, dependable, and Barkley absolutely loves spending time with her. I can't recommend Sarah enough to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

There are no adequate words to describe Yiting's incredible gift with animals and our gratitude for her work with us! We have a dog with very special needs, but from the first moment our dog interacted with Yiting, he was at ease and connected with her as if they'd known each other for years. This is entirely due to Yiting's innate ability and specialized training to connect with animals in a way that dignifies them and their needs, helping them feel secure. I am so thankful we found Yiting. She will be our #1 go-to for anything our dog needs in the future. And she took absolutely wonderful, thoughtful care of our home and even our two birds as an overnight sitter. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Baileys Crossroads walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Baileys Crossroads maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Baileys Crossroads choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
