About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own pets and working in a professional pet-care environment at PetSuites. As a pet owner, I understand the importance of providing animals with proper feeding, fresh water, exercise, attention, and a safe and comfortable environment. I currently care for my two dachshunds, Winston and Kai. My experience at PetSuites has also helped me develop strong skills in customer service, communication, pet handling, cleanliness, and making sure each pet receives attentive and compassionate care. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and am available most hours, seven days a week. I can provide consistent, reliable care for pets while giving them plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and love. Pet care is already an important part of my daily routine. I care for my two dachshunds, Winston and Kai, by providing meals, fresh water, walks, playtime, exercise, attention, and lots of love. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

She also is very accommodating when the unexpected comes up such as days when I did not go into the office. She is very reliable and trustworthy.”

“Very appreciative of Kimberly for making herself available in such a short notice. She was punctual, communicative, and informative. I look forward to working with her in the near future.”

About: My name is Emily, I am starting my first year in college this fall. I have four dogs of my own named Blacky, Tyson, Bella, and Geo. Blacky is 8, Tyson is 3, Bella and Geo are just 4 months old. I absolutely love having dogs because of their company and how cute they are. Having four dogs of different sizes and ages taught me how to care for different ranges of dogs. You’d never think how big you can build a bond with a pet, so it’s incredible watching them become part of the family. Pets require so much attention, care, and love. I can’t wait to meet all of your pets and I am so excited to be able to play with them. I work part time at a vet clinic, I am very familiar with the care and needs for pets. Im also very familiar with specific symptoms/illnesses to watch for. My schedule is very flexible and am happy to adjust for any specific requests for sittings or walks! I understand that dogs in their home are very comfortable so I will keep it that way! Anything that they need, I will be there!
“I was impressed with Daniel right from the start! He is a very humble, respectful, responsible, kind young man who loves animals. My dog Sophie immediately took to him and she would have great walks with him. I asked a lot from Daniel when I went on holiday…and he delivered! He came to my home for 10 days to not only walk my dog but also feed her…give her medicine, and as a bonus, he played with her. Socializing w Sophie went a long way because she was alone most of the time. He would always be on time and, when another dog walker canceled, he quickly covered that shift. No questions or higher charge. He sent a lot of photos too. Since I’ve been back from my holiday, I’ve been in poor health. I texted Daniel and he is now my dog walker on days when I’m unable to take Sophie out myself. Again, punctual & always thinking about what’s best for my dog…. For example, He remembers to dry Sophie’s paws when they arrive from a walk in the snow or rain. I highly recommend Daniel as your dog walker or sitter.”

About: With over 20 years of experience caring for multiple cats, I’ve developed a deep understanding of feline behavior, needs, and personalities. I currently share my home with two female cats Daisy and Lucy. I’ve nurtured cats from kittenhood through their senior years, providing loving, attentive care every step of the way. While I’m a lifelong cat owner, I also have a genuine love for dogs and enjoy spending time with them just as much, whether it’s going for walks, playing fetch, or simply giving them the affection they crave. I’m actively working toward a dog training certificate to further strengthen my skills and knowledge. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine, especially since I work from home full-time. This flexibility allows me to give pets consistent attention, regular feedings, playtime, and any needed care throughout the day. Whether it's scheduled walks, medication, or just some extra cuddle time, I'm able to be present and responsive to each pet’s needs. It's truly a joy to incorporate caring for animals into my everyday life. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I provide pets with a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely, feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and playtime, to ensure consistency and reduce stress. In a client’s home, I respect their space and routines, making sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment. In my home, I create a cozy, pet-friendly space with plenty of affection, supervision, and enrichment. My goal is always to keep pets happy, healthy, and cared for just like they’re my own.
“Absolutely outstanding! Gabriela is punctual, reliable, and fantastic with my dog. She sends clear updates and photos after every walk, makes sure water bowls are filled, and always wipe paws on rainy days. My pup comes home happy, calm, and well-exercised. The attention to detail (double checking the leash, securing the door, and noting any changes in behavior) gives me total peace of mind. Couldn’t ask for better care, highly recommend!”
About: I have experience with dog training, specifically puppies. I had the good fortune of learning how to train my Border Collie puppy, Khailo, (now 10) with a CCI-certified service dog trainer specializing in puppies. Khailo and I saw the trainer multiple times per week for about a year, establishing a good foundation that he always go back to. Raising Khailo taught me so much and turned me into a HUGE dog lover. Prior to that I liked dogs, now I LOVE them, and speak their language. I know how to properly walk a dog instead of letting the pup walk me, I know how to encourage good habits, and I will ALWAYS keep your dog's safety a number one priority. I also have experience administering medication to both puppies and adult dogs, have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with special needs, have experience watching multiple dogs at once, and also have experience with play-dates and dog parks. I will treat your pup as if they are my own. I look forward to being of service to you and your pup! I currently work full-time with a hybrid schedule, where I’m in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays. I have both daytime and evening availability on Tuesdays, Fridays, weekends, and all major holidays. I am also available on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings before 8 am and evenings after 6:15 pm. I am open to both short-term and long-term set schedules to accommodate you and your pup's needs, and am available for boarding both at my home and pet-sitting at your place of residence. I live in a very pet-friendly community with lots of outdoor space for your pup to play, as well as an indoor dog park for inclement and/or freezing temperatures. When providing care at your home, I will respect all rules you have for your pup, such as not being allowed on furniture, etc. and will stick to your pet’s routine to keep them comfortable. I would be providing service outside of my home. Your pup’s safety is my number one priority and, having been trained by a CCI service dog trainer myself, I am well-versed in translating your dog behavior, thus keeping them safe in all environments and under all circumstances. I am a very maternal person, and will give your pup all of the love, care and attention they need!
About: I have been pet sitting for family, friends, and clients alike since I was 15. All of my life I grew up around big dogs and would consider myself a dog person so no size or breed scares me- I am happy to give your pets the attention and love they deserve! I now live with my two cats whom I love dearly and are trying their hardest to turn me into a cat person. I am happy to walk and play with pets as often as requested and I am comfortable giving any sort of medication. I am currently a student at Northern Virginia Community College, but I am part time this summer so I have plenty of time to take good care of your pet(s)! I offer fees on a sliding scale based on income- contact me about my rates and I’m happy to adjust. I am a very attentive caregiver and will give your pets lots of attention while I’m on the clock. I am also happy to sit around and just keep them company if your pets are slow going like mine are.
About: Not just another dog lover! I’ve had at least one dog, plus, at all times. Most from a puppy until departure. Experience with rescued dogs in making them feel comfortable/relaxed. We had a rescue from Hurricane Katrina. I’m very patient, caring, & don’t mind petting or playing all day. I’m hoping to give them the love and care when you can’t be ther. I work from home several days during the week and can properly share my time for walks, feeding, and playing. I have a Cocker Spaniel who gets along with other dogs well. I’m home in the evenings and weekends. I live in a pet friendly apartment complex with plenty of grassy areas and usually take my dog on a walk in the neighborhood. I don’t have any furniture or bed restrictions. I am happy to sit at your home, if preferred.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Baileys Crossroads
Lucy was an amazing walker! She took our foster dog DD on some fun walks and DD loved her. She came on time (or early! ) which DD was very happy about. And she put out her food after. Was quiet not to wake our family who is still asleep at 6:30am. :) We’d love for her to walk for us again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
