“Erin and her family are great! They’re punctual, reliable, and responsive. They did a great job of taking care of my dog. They came to meet her and run through her walk routine prior to the day of her being walked, and were fabulous all around. Can’t recommend them enough!”

“Our dogs loved having Mathew take them for a walk. They were smiling in the pictures and tuckered out for the rest of the afternoon. Mathew did a great job communicating with us when he was going to be able to be there. He was also able meet the times we wanted. I would highly recommend Mathew to walk your dogs.”
“Bailey has been our walked for a few weeks now and she has been outstanding!!! Very communicative, lots of photos, and our neighbors have gone out of their way to mention how kind she has been.”

“Erin was fantastic with Mackey! She is obviously very knowledgeable about dogs and she made sure she understood Mackey’s personality and needs to make her walks the best experience. I’ve already booked her for more walks with my pup!”

“Mounia was fantastic! Great communication throughout, lots of photos, and really patient with both me and my pup - which is especially appreciated since we just moved to the neighborhood. Will definitely book again!”

“Patrick has been a tremendous help with my dog’s midday walk. He is reliable, shows up even when it is raining, and gives me helpful updates so I know what has happened on the walk. Definitely recommend him.”

“Vianca is the best!! She takes incredible care of my best bud, always so thoughtful, careful, and kind! My guy has some particular triggers and Vianca skillfully manages them all while giving him all the TLC he can get. So grateful for Vianca! Thank you!”

“Autumn was 10/10 awesome! She was very communicative and flexible with our last minute scheduling needs/changes. She sent lots of pictures and updates, our pup seemed happy and well cared for. We will definitely use her again”

“Cindy is amazing! I loved how we had an introduction call the night before for logistics and my Coraline looked so happy on her walk with her new friend Bentley!”

“Hilary did a great job taking care of Mona while we were away. Communication was excellent, she was reliable, and it was clear Mona was comfortable and happy in her care. Mona is 17 and has a few extra needs, including medication, and Hilary handled everything perfectly. We came home to a happy dog and had complete peace of mind while we were gone. We’d absolutely book with her again.”

About: Animals and pets have been in my life for as long as I can remember. When I was 8 my neighbor passed and left me Sawbuck, his beautiful Shepard/lab mix. He showed me the true bond you can form with these amazing animals. I have worked in pet care companies, taken courses in animal first aid/CPR, positive reinforcement/Karen Pryor clicker training, worked with livestock veterinarians, Security/IED K9s, and plenty more. I love dogs and learn all that I can about them to best communicate and care for them. I work a good bit in my own business, but have been seeing time and opportunities to hang out with some new smiling faces. Holiday season is coming and I will be in the area. My goal is to provide a positive, loving and safe experience for your pet and you. I’m a Marine so following orders/directions exactly as you give them is in my blood. I love information so feel free to write/leave as much as makes you comfortable. I will send after service reports where I provide feedback/requested information and brief of the care service.

I'm a college student with too much free time and too much love in my heart! I have class 9:30 to 11 Monday and Wednesday but I have plenty of time before and after to care for your pet! I'm experienced with all pets, even the medically complex ones. I know let cpr and I'm quick to learn if anything arises! Let me know how I can care for your furry friend!

“Julia has been wonderful to work with. She has done an exceptional job of taking care of our dog. When Bear had some issues out our house, while he was alone Julia took the extra steps to take care of the situation. I can highly recommend her. Thanks, Julia”

Kadyah was wonderful with Dakota! This was our first time booking with her, and she was communicative, reliable, and took great care of her. I felt completely comfortable knowing Dakota was in good hands, and she seemed so happy with her. I would absolutely book with Kadyah again and highly recommend her!

Zeynep is incredibly reliable. We had a big moment in our family and needed someone to care for our dog twice in one day, so we could be present for a several hour ceremony. I knew immediately that Zeynep was the person we wanted to take care of Emmy on that day. She always shows up and takes such loving care with Emmy.

Vianca did a great job filling in for my regular dog walker for a number of days over the past month. Freya has been wary of meeting new people recently, so during our two meet and greets with Vianca there was some barking and growling, but Vianca was so patient! She was calm and understanding while Freya was getting to know her, and they ended up having great walks together! Definitely recommended her and would use her again.

Christine did a great job on pretty short notice. She followed our instructions well and -- most importantly -- read Obi's body language and demeanor to make sure he had a productive outing while not pushing it in the heat. He was very happy when we got home, and it was clear he had a wonderful visit from Christine, who gave him some additional attention in the house since the weather outside was not ideal for a longer outing. Definitely hope to use Christine again in the future and would recommend her for others!

Nele gave my doggies their walkies again. This time she also had to deal with a senior dog with potty opportunities and handled it with grace. But more than that she gives the doggies lots of cuddles and takes the best pictures! I will definitely ask Nelly for walkies and cuddles for the doggies during my next vacation.

We had an excellent experience with Trinity. She was kind, friendly, punctual, and consistently kept us updated, which gave no us great peace of mind while we were away. We have three dogs, each with very different personalities and needs, and Trinity took the time to get to know each of them individually. She carefully followed our instructions and ensured they were comfortable and well cared for throughout her visits. Our dogs clearly enjoyed her company, and it was evident that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. We felt completely confident leaving them in her care and would highly recommend her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
