About: I've grown up with animals my entire life. My household had two dogs and a cat at all times. I love dogs, but cats have a special place in my heart. My husband and I adopted a tuxedo cat a few years ago and she's become our fur baby! She came with a unique set of health issues, so I've become incredibly familiar with the world of cat medicine (including using asthma inhalers). I'm currently working part-time, so I'm available to stop by in the early morning or afternoon to hangout with your pet. I can stay as long as needed to play and give attention. I unfortunately cannot board your pet at this time. My own fur baby is unsure about other cats/dogs, so we must respect her space first and foremost.
“Rachel has been such an amazing help with walking our girls. It’s so nice to have peace of mind while I’m at work knowing that Rachel will check in on them in the middle of the day. She’s reliable and great with communication! A thousand times recommend!!”

“Erin was awesome! She came over to meet Gizmo beforehand and wanted to know about the breed, his personality, his routine, it was so clear she truly cares about the pets she cares for! Gizmo loved his walks and playtime with Erin, She’s the best!”

“Joanna is by far the best petsitter we have had for Upsi! Reliable, communicative, and always have your dog well being as a priority. We feel very lucky that we found her !”

“Adriana deserves 1000 stars!! I actually booked a dog walk for someone else - My friend is home with a newborn baby and two rowdy labs so I wanted to get her dogs out of the house for a little to help. Adriana messaged me back immediately and was happy to help! She was incredibly accommodating, professional and asked me all of the important questions so she was prepared when she arrived. She sent photos and handled the two labs wonderfully. The dogs loved her and she absolutely made the new mom's day. I would trust her with my dogs any day. Thank you so much Adriana for your kindness!”

“Cindy is amazing! I loved how we had an introduction call the night before for logistics and my Coraline looked so happy on her walk with her new friend Bentley!”

“Emma was super sweet! She agreed to walk our dog on a very short notice (1 day), arrived on time and even spent extra 5 minutes walking him. Additionally, she kindly offered to wipe the paws since it was wet outside. Outstanding service! I’m happy to have found an excellent walker on our first try. We will order more services moving forward!”

“Peter has been so great with my dog Milo! He has a history of anxiety and is not always great with other dogs, but Peter has been so patient with him despite his quirks! I look forward to continue booking him for future care needs :)”

“Julia has been wonderful to work with. She has done an exceptional job of taking care of our dog. When Bear had some issues out our house, while he was alone Julia took the extra steps to take care of the situation. I can highly recommend her. Thanks, Julia”
“Hilary did a great job taking care of Mona while we were away. Communication was excellent, she was reliable, and it was clear Mona was comfortable and happy in her care. Mona is 17 and has a few extra needs, including medication, and Hilary handled everything perfectly. We came home to a happy dog and had complete peace of mind while we were gone. We’d absolutely book with her again.”

About: Hello! I truly care for every dog like they’re my own. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pup. I regularly care for my neighbor’s golden retriever and have experience handling different temperaments and energy levels. While I’m not a professional trainer, I’m patient, observant, and always prioritize a pet’s comfort and safety. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and committed to making every visit a positive one for both pets and their people! I’m a college student based in New York during the school year, but I return home to Virginia for breaks like summer, Thanksgiving, spring and winter. During those times, I have a very open and flexible schedule, which allows me to fully focus on pet care. I love spending my break bonding with animals and giving them the time and attention they need! Feel free to reach out anytime I’m always happy to share my current availability and see if I can accommodate your needs! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their usual routine so the pet feels comfortable and safe. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and bathroom breaks, while also keeping things clean and calm. I pay close attention to each pet’s needs and whether they’re energetic or more laid-back and I always check in with updates so owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
