About: As a lifelong animal lover with a degree in biology and a focus on environmental science, I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of pets. From turtles and snakes, to fish, dogs, and cats - I've researched and worked with all types of animals throughout my career. Our family home has always been the go-to place for friends and family to bring their beloved pets when they need care. I absolutely adore getting to know each animal's unique personality and caring for them as if they were my own. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of pet sitting for all kinds of breeds, from Cane Corsos and Labradors to Labradoodles, Shih Tzu, and our own 10-year-old Morkie, October. What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and the meticulous, personalized attention I provide to every pet in my care. I understand that each furry (or scaly!) friend has their own needs, quirks, and preferred routine. I'm committed to maintaining that consistency, whether it's sticking to a feeding schedule, taking frequent walks, or providing plenty of playtime and cuddles. While I don't have specialized training in puppy care or senior pet support, I have ample experience caring for pets at all stages of life. Puppies and aging companions require extra patience and attention, and I'm adept at meeting their evolving needs with care and empathy. You can trust that your pet will receive the personalized attention they deserve, regardless of their age or stage of life. Whether you need a sitter for a quick errand or an extended vacation, I'll treat your pet like family. I'd be honored to provide the personalized, attentive care that will give you peace of mind, knowing your furry friend is in the best of hands. Please don't hesitate to book me for your next pet sitting needs! As a college-level tutor who primarily works from home, I have the time and flexibility to provide exceptional care for your pets. My work-from-home setup allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine, and with complete availability on weekends and during the summer, I'm well-equipped to accommodate your vacation schedules with overnight pet sitting. You can trust that your furry friends will receive the utmost care in my hands. The safety and wellbeing of your pets is my top priority when they are in my care. Whether I'm watching over them in my own home or tending to them at your residence, you can rest assured they will be in a secure, comfortable environment with constant supervision. At my home, I have a decent-sized backyard with a small fenced in area shaded by trees - the perfect outdoor oasis for your furry friends to play and explore safely. And with just one small, elderly dog of my own who likes to keep to herself, your pets will have ample individual attention and a calm, quiet space to relax. My ability to work remotely means I'm able to maintain a watchful eye on your animals at all times, providing them with the care and companionship they need throughout the day. For pets staying at your home, I'll work closely with you to understand their precise routines, preferences, and any special needs. I'll arrive prepared and adhere strictly to your pet care instructions, ensuring a seamless transition and a stress-free experience for your beloved companions. You can trust that I'll treat your home with the utmost care and respect, keeping it clean and tidy just as I would my own. Whether in my own residence or yours, your pets' safety is of the utmost importance. With secure, comfortable environments, personalized attention, and constant supervision, you can have complete confidence that your furry friends are in excellent hands.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I had a golden growing up for 15 years and now have a dog of my own! I love going on long walks with dogs who need it, playing fetch, and giving lots of scritches and love! No dog is too small or too big for me. Happy to accommodate anything your pet needs! I’m currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule. I work in VA and living MD so I’m really all over the map. I would prefer any time after 3 but can also come in the mornings with enough heads up. I do not have a fenced in back yard but do have a nice trail to walk on and get some energy out. I also have a lead in the backyard to keep the dogs safe and not escape if they would like to roam freely. My coonhound has been just fine with the set up! I also have a crate if preferred. My dog is friendly with others and loves other dogs!

Mona is 17 and has a few extra needs, including medication, and Hilary handled everything perfectly. We came home to a happy dog and had complete peace of mind while we were gone. We’d absolutely book with her again.

About: Hello there, my name is Davey, and I’m an experienced pet caretaker with over 15 years of experience. I live alone and have access to a bark park and local parks, which allows me to provide a safe environment and ample amounts of open fields and stimulating environments for the doggie's. I prioritize the well-being of all furry friends — including cats— by following the habits you have already curated for them; such as meal plans and diets, using familiar commands to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. My goal is to make sure you return home to a clean and happy home, with a loving caretaker by their side. Some of my furry friends tend to get attached to me quickly and even sit at the doors, waiting for me to return. Overall, I have a deep love for these little furry companions called pets. I’m a full-time remote student and a freelance photographer. I have more than enough flexibility to take care of your little one because I prepare everything on my schedule two weeks in advance. Pets will be completely safe in my hands as I am very attentive and aware, and we are most likely going to be in the same room the whole time. Should anything arise with your furry one I immediately communicate about it and let you know what the issue is and how we got there. of course every case is dependent on the personality of the furry one. I treat your pet as if they are my own if I wouldn’t drink faucet water I wouldn’t give your little one faucet water. We’re kind of bougie over here.

About: I have some pet care experience having owned two dogs in my childhood. I was responsible for their grooming, walking, and feeding, and I loved playing with them. I also have pet experience with fish, hamsters, and am currently a mother to a very sweet 5 year old kitty. I'm currently taking a leave of absence from working in the Pastry/Baking industry. While I have not worked in pet care full-time, I am an animal lover looking to take care of your furry friends. About: Even with just one year of hands-on pet care experience, I stand out because my approach focuses on attentiveness, patience, and understanding each animal’s unique personality. I’ve worked with a variety of cats—shy, energetic, senior, and special-needs—and I’ve learned how to build trust quickly through calm interaction, consistent routines, and gentle handling. I’m currently in college on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, but outside of those hours, my schedule is very flexible. Since I am not working right now, I’m available most weekdays, weekends, and evenings. This allows me to be dependable, responsive, and able to adjust to pet-care needs with plenty of open time. When I’m caring for your dog in your home, my focus is on keeping their routine consistent and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow all instructions closely and treat your space with respect.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
