“Jennifer and Louis were very friendly and accommodating for me and my pup first overnight stay I was very nervous in the beginning due to it being my dog first overnight stay. I a new to the app and was looking for a playful friendly dog that my dog can stay and play with occasionally. We have found one thank you Jennifer and Louis for your hospitality pictures and videos everything went great!”

“Julie is an AWESOME sitter! Our dog, Strudel, is not used to staying with sitters and can get anxious when away from us. Julie did an awesome job keeping an eye on her anxiety and updating us while we were away. You could tell Strudel was very happy with Julie and sad to see her go at the end of her stay!”

“Nina and Chris were so awesome with our dog Mischa while we were out of town for five nights!! They set up a meet and greet prior to Mischa’s stay, sent daily photo updates during her stay, and were flexible and communicative throughout which was so greatly appreciated while we were away. It was evident Mischa was in great hands! Mischa will be staying with Nina and Chris again very soon and we would highly recommend them!!”

“Francise was wonderful with our girl, Winnie! She took wonderful care and provided great updates and photos. Winnie can be a little difficult on walks sometimes because she is a bit dog reactive and Francise did a great job managing her! We can’t say enough nice things and we highly recommend Francise and look forward to having Winnie stay with Francise again!”

“Jennifer was amazing. My dog took to her immediately, she asked me great questions ahead of time and she was very communicative and responsive. I got cute pics and felt so comfortable. This went the best of any non-family member boarding situation we have had with my slightly anxious but sweet dog!”

“We don’t use rover often but when we do we try to use Danyelle. Aspen always seems happy and well cared for when she gets home! We hope to continue to use her in the future as she’s available 🥰”

“Noah is the best! He goes above and beyond caring for our dog. We have never left our dog for an extended period of time with anyone other than family but when we couldn't bring our pup with us on a trip- we knew he was in the best hands! I would recommend Noah to anyone! 100/10!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Heights
I love the fact that Melissa kept me updated with how Chloe was doing during her stay as this was her first time away from home. Melissa gave me some recommendations when it came to her feedings and I’m now starting to incorporate hard food into her meals. She loved her stay and will be back soon.

Serena and Jake were amazing! It was our first time leaving our dogs with someone at their house. We usually have a sitter come to ours so we were a little bit nervous. Our dogs are not friendly with other dogs and have their little quirks, but they did a great job working around that. Our dogs came back to us, looking very happy and warmed up quickly to both of them. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.

We had a wonderful experience with Rasida! She was reliable, responsible, and incredibly caring throughout the entire time she watched our dog. She was very communicative, flexible, and willing to accommodate our needs, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dog and treated her with the same love and attention she would give her own. We truly appreciated how dependable and easy to work with Rasida was. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, and caring dog sitter. We’d happily have her watch our dog again!

Cindy was great. She is kind and provided great communication during our dog taz’s stay. She sent daily pictures and updates. When picking up Taz he seemed like he was comfortable and did not want to leave. I would highly recommend Cindy. I plan to use her again in the future.

Max is our go-to sitter. He takes such good care of our dog and always sends photo updates throughout the stay. We feel great about the care our pup always gets when we send her to stay with Max and highly recommend his care to anyone on the fence about who to go to with their own pet needs.

Elizabeth was great to work with, sent me daily pictures and updates of Zoe and was flexible when I needed to change the pick up time. She and Kim clearly cared for Zoe and asked for updates on how she was doing after I had picked her up. I will definitely book future stays for Zoe with them!

We travel from North Carolina pretty often… and when we decide to go north Corola has been our go to! Her and her husband are really nice and pleasant people and our frenchie seems to love them! Corola keeps us updated on how he’s doing and sends us pictures often! That and the fact that they live on base gives us an extra sense of security knowing that our dog is safe and ok! We highly recommend Corola to anyone seeking dog care!

Once again, we couldn’t be happier with Abigail as a sitter. Boba made the best playmate to keep Fiona company and Abigail always goes out of her way to go above and beyond. Reading her updates was routinely one of the best parts of our day while we were away. Thank you Abigail and Boba!

Christopher always does a great job caring for our high-needs dog. He gives her lots of one-on-one attention and is very responsive to her needs. He regularly communicates with photos and honest updates about how she is doing, which we really appreciate! Will gladly book Christopher again!

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Forest Heights.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
