“Fantastic service, will book again! Really appreciate the excellent care and communication, and the kindness and flexibility when I needed to extend my booking because my travel schedule changed. Felt assured that my cats were safely integrated into a new temporary family and well taken care of while I was away.”

“Janel was great with our dog, Grizzly! She was very communicative and we received lots of pictures of his time spent on walks and relaxing on their porch. We will definitely be using Janel again if we are ever in the area.”

“Joe was great—easy-going and accomodating. My dog had a great time with Joe and two other dogs! He messaged me updates and photos during the 7 days away from our dog, which was very reassuring. Joe even took my dog on a 5 mile run! Will definately book with Joe again. This was the first time using Rover.com, and I highly recommend. I also highly recommend your dog stay with JOE!”

“Rae took good care of Jax. She took him in after a very last minute request from me to board for a weekend and was communicative. Would recommend her for anyone needing dog care boarding.”

“Alli was amazing and took on Grover, my golden doodle, for a few days on short notice. She was extremely caring, professional, and all around pleasant and a pleasure to interact with. Thanks, Alli!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Beth did a great job watching Cosmo! She made it very easy to schedule the pick up and drop off times, and sent lots of picture updates while I was away. I would definitely recommend Beth!”

“Krista was a great caretaker for Hugo! She was very communicative and proactive. She arranged a pre-stay meet and greet, sent thorough daily updates, and was flexible with pick-up and drop-off times to accommodate travel changes. Hugo had a great time, and so did we on our vacation, knowing that he was in great care!”

“When I go away for travel, I always know that I am leaving my dog Bruno in great hands. This last visit was my longest stay with Luis and Stephanie, a total of 12 days. They offered a very comfortable environment for Bruno that minimized stress and anxiety for the long stay. They always communicate well with pictures and regular updates. Upon return, Bruno always comes back more relaxed and content which was the same for this visit. I would highly recommend their services to other pet owners. Thanks again for always caring for Bruno with such love and care 🫶🏾.”

“Jasmine and Stormi were great with Roxy. Roxy was transitioning between dog foods during her stay and Jasmine handled it like a pro. I would highly recommend Jasmine for your next trip.”

“My dogs have stayed with Melissa many times because I know that she takes great care of them. They are both seniors and need a sitter who is attentive to their needs, and that is Melissa.”

“Bailey had a great time at June’s. She was well taken care of and we were updated regularly with what she was up to. June is warm and very knowledgeable about dogs, highly recommend to anyone!”

“Jeison was amazing during my pup’s week-long stay with him! He took her on long walks and made sure she was comfortable and happy. The food I’d packed ran out, and Jeison went out of his way to make sure she was fed and healthy. Plus, he was very communicative with me and sent picture updates throughout the day. Would absolutely re-book petsitting with Jeison next time I’m out of town!”

“Allie is wonderful! She has watched my pup twice and each time I’ve felt confident he is being very well taken care of. She was also incredibly understanding after weather delayed my flight home and I had to pick him up much later than expected. Would highly recommend!”

“Serena is great! We needed a last minute affordable dog sitter while we went on a family Vacation and Serena came thru! We would recommend her for sure. She is friendly and has great communication. She sent pictures of our dog Taz throughout his stay. We will use Serena’s services again.”

“Noah is the best! He goes above and beyond caring for our dog. We have never left our dog for an extended period of time with anyone other than family but when we couldn't bring our pup with us on a trip- we knew he was in the best hands! I would recommend Noah to anyone! 100/10!”

“Tommy H.responded quickly and thankfully accommodated a last minute booking. He had an organized approach with intros, drop off, and pickup. He communicated daily with updates. When flight was delayed, he worked with another family member for pickup. 5 out of 5 gold 🌟 star service. Highly recommend Tommy H.”

“Julie is an AWESOME sitter! Our dog, Strudel, is not used to staying with sitters and can get anxious when away from us. Julie did an awesome job keeping an eye on her anxiety and updating us while we were away. You could tell Strudel was very happy with Julie and sad to see her go at the end of her stay!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Silver Hill
This was a long boarding session for our dog and we returned to a happy, relaxed boy. Alli and her family took wonderful care of Peanut Butter. She asked thoughtful questions about his routine and followed our instructions to the dot. We are very grateful to have such an excellent sitter in the neighborhood!

Donald and Jeffrey are absolutely wonderful! We just relocated to DC and worried about finding a trusted dog sitter for our French Bulldog, Winnie- thank goodness we found Donald and Jeffrey! They love Winnie like their own, and we are at complete ease while she is in their care. We are so grateful!

Jill was fantastic! Very pleased with all parts of the boarding experience. Jill was a great communicator and was very thoughtful in every step. My dog had a great time and I know she was well taken care when I picked her up. I had full confidence in leaving my dog and would definitely use Jill again.

Serena and Jake were amazing! It was our first time leaving our dogs with someone at their house. We usually have a sitter come to ours so we were a little bit nervous. Our dogs are not friendly with other dogs and have their little quirks, but they did a great job working around that. Our dogs came back to us, looking very happy and warmed up quickly to both of them. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.

Patience was truly amazing with Poncho. She gives a lot of love and care to your pet and will treat them just like they are at home. She is also a very kind person. You can tell she is passionate about animals. She gave lots of updates, walked and played with Poncho all day, and was even kind enough to extend my time by an hour when I was running late. I will absolutely book again and I recommend her!

Jade is very warm and inviting. We agreed on a 2 hr. meet and greet visit for our pet to be with her, given her separation anxiety and not being with her regular sitter. Jade reported our pet whining for the first hour being with her. When I asked Jade if she would be open to a future visit in hopes of my pet becoming lass anxious. She was immediate in saying yes.

Emma is reliable, courteous, communicative, caring, and patient. I particularly appreciate that Emma aims to make pets and owners comfortable while pets are under her care and reaches out with questions to ensure this. Emma always stood out to us as a star sitter and we were fortunate to book with her again for a late afternoon/evening sitting. Pictures told the whole story- our Velcro pup was enjoying his night away from home and was in great spirits when we picked him up. We recommend Emma without reservation.

You da best! Thanks for caring for Blaze as you did, thank you for the daily pics, thank you for being flexible, agreeing to extend Blaze’s stay after unforeseen changes and thank you for your clear responsive communication. I would book Jayla again in a heartbeat and I know Blaze would agree.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
