Unconditional Love for Your Dog
Right now, we have no other pets. We offer a home that loves dogs with abandon. In our past, we have cared for two dogs, one for 14 years and a second for 5 years. We are both retired, so giving loving attention to your dog would be our priority. Since we're both home, as previously mentioned, there is no issue with us taking care of your dog. We're here almost all the time. If we do have to travel, of course we would not schedule a sitting while we are out of town. We take your dog on regular walks around the neighborhood, which is very dog friendly. We have a fenced-in courtyard behind our condo building to let your fur baby run loose. Many of the residents also have dogs, and the building is very pet friendly. Your fur baby could make new friends! For overnight visits, you would need to bring your dog's bed or crate, as you prefer, which we would set up in our living room. We prefer not to let your dog sleep in bed with us. Also note: because we live in a relatively small condo, WE WILL NOT ACCEPT BOOKING REQUESTS FOR DOGS LARGER THAN 25 POUNDS. And sorry, but we do not sit cats; we love them but are allergic. Sorry, but if your dog must wear a muzzle when going outside for walks, please pass us by.

Our chihuahua had a lovely time with Donald and Jeffrey. They were very communicative with updates and flexible with scheduling when our travel plans changed. We would definitely use them again.
Donald and Jeffrey were great shy little Gia. They made the extra effort to ensure that she ate while she was there. She was calm and comfortable while she was there. It is clear that they enjoy having guests and are very attentive to the dog's needs.
Donald and Jeffrey were fantastic! I was able to take a vacation knowing my dog was being well cared for.

Schedule
We are both retired, so we're at home all day, just the occasional trip to the grocery store. Like everyone else, one of us must go out for a doctor or dentist appointment, but that still leaves one of us at home. Someone is nearly always here to look after your precious pup, weekdays and weekends. Anytime we do have to travel, we'll of course block off those days in the calendar so no booking can be made.

We offer as much love and attention as your dog needs. If your dog likes to sleep a lot, then he/she can sleep. If your dog is more active, we take dogs on regular walks, as you instruct us. We also have a fenced in courtyard behind our building where we can let dogs run free, always with one of us there with your dog keeping an eye on things.
A typical day
We walk dogs through our Capitol Hill neighborhood. We are near Congressional Cemetery as well, where lots of our neighbors take their dogs for play with other dogs. We also have a fenced yard behind our building and other dogs in the building to play with, or not, depending on whether or not your dog likes other dogs. If your dog is not social with other dogs, then we avoid them.
