Hi, I’m Abigail — a lifelong dog lover, caregiver, and dog mom to my cute and friendly 3-year-old miniature schnauzer, Boba. I know how important it is to find a trustworthy caretaker for your pup. I care for every dog like they’re my own and make it my priority to ensure you feel fully confident that your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for — whether you’re away for a busy day at work or off on your dream vacation. Before any first-time stay, I require a meet and greet to make sure it’s a great fit — especially for your pup! I do not make exceptions, so please allow time for a meet and greet before booking a first time stay. 🐾 What You Can Expect: • Personalized, Loving Care Again, before any first-time stay, I require a meet and greet to make sure it’s a great fit — especially for your pup! I tailor care to their daily routine and personality, and want you to feel fully comfortable and confident too. For that reason, I’m unable to accept same-day or last-minute bookings without a prior introduction. • Safe, Clean Home Environment I offer day care and overnight stays in my clean, non-smoking condo in Old Town Alexandria. It’s a safe, calm space with immediate access to beautiful walking trails — perfect for dogs who love their strolls and sniffs. My community has a lot of dogs for your fur baby to make friends with too! • Daily Adventures & Enrichment Your dog will enjoy long morning and evening walks, plus midday walks. Depending on your dog’s temperament and the weather, I can take them to a fenced-in dog park or even fun dog-friendly events around the DMV. I offer dogs indoor enrichment activities like treat puzzles as well. • Frequent Updates & Adorable Photos I provide as many updates as you’d like during your dog’s stay — complete with cute photos and stories of their daily adventures. I also aim to respond to messages within minutes. You’ll never be left wondering how your pup is doing. • Dog-Friendly Companion at Home Your dog will also hang out with my friendly and well-trained 3-year-old miniature schnauzer, Boba, who loves making friends with other pups. Before booking first-time stays, I do a meet and greet in a central, public location to make sure your dog and Boba get along. I keep a 2 dog to 1 person ratio so your dog will get my utmost attention. ⸻ 💛 About Me: I’ve been a devoted dog sibling or mom since I was 11 and have cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. With years of hands-on experience in training, feeding (I even cook Boba’s meals!), administering medicine, and exercise, I know how important trust and love are in pet care. My previous dog required special medical attention, so I know how to handle medicine and special need dogs. Dogs bring me immense joy — and I’m honored to care for yours as if they were my own.
