I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fully commit to pet care! I'm available for walks during the weekdays and can provide boarding and overnight care on weekends. About: I've cared for animals of varying breeds, shapes, and sizes since I was a young girl. As an aspiring veterinarian, I've made staying informed and attentive to animal's needs my top priority. In my time taking care of other's pets, I've conduced overnight stays, routine check-ins, walking & enrichment activities, mild grooming, as well as medication administration. I keep detailed logs of the eating, drinking, and energy levels of the pets I watch and communicate regularly with the owners. This way, I can ensure that your loved ones are receiving the attention they need to thrive in your time apart. I have a pure, genuine love for animals, and I look forward to meeting your pet! I currently work as a Veterinary Nurse at a clinic with 3 days off a week. With proper notice, I am comfortable rearranging my schedule to meet the needs of your pet. I have open availability on Wednesdays and weekends as well. I make sure to thoroughly read and notate any instructions left by the owners. I understand that allowing someone into your home is a huge act of trust, and I make it a point to remain considerate, respectful, and tidy as I operate around the house. I understand that being around new company can be stressful for some animals, so I make sure to slowly build a bond that allows your pet to trust me.
“Shekyira was a god send. She took love and care of two of our cats, one who just had kittens. Communication was swift and she was great with updates me of how our new mamma was doing. Great Hire!”

“Ayesha took great care of our dog Chloe. Chloe was not eating much while we were out of town so she made Chloe a special meal that Chloe really enjoyed. The communication while we were gone was excellent. I felt very comfortable and I would definitely recommend Ayesha to anyone that needs care for your dog while on travel....Thanks for everything Ayesha”
“Thanks so much Yerlis. Very professional. Dogs took to her immediately. Timely and accommodating. First time on the app and a great impression so far. Will see you soon.”

“Tex is a super anxious dog and Nicollette was absolutely wonderful with him. Sent the best updates. Will definitely be asking her to take care of Tex again in the future.”

“Anna did a fantastic job for us on very short notice. The photos of our pups during her check-in were great! Anna also made sure our skitish, senior dog was able to get some time outside during her visit. I will definitely book her again!”

“Melissa watched our two cats, Lily and Brie, on short notice. She did a phenomenal job! Our cats are usually shy around sitters, but they warmed up to Melissa right away. She sent photos of our babies, which put a smile on our face and let us know they were in good hands. Would highly recommend Melissa!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since 2021. I’ve had dogs of my own. I have been trained in canine behavior and canine training for basic commands and basic animal behavior. I also work on certain days of the week but I am absolutely free afterwards. I am free to board during the week and weekends. I currently live in an apartment but I also have an 2 month old puppy looking for friends to play with each day. 2-4 hours potty breaks and endless playtime.
“I reached out to Quiana in the late evening on Su day night hoping to arrange care for my pup on Tuesday morning. Quiana responded promptly, and though I had a morning full of meetings, and I was scheduled to travel on Monday afternoon, Quiana suggested and made herself available for a meet and greet early Monday morning. Aksel loved her immediately, showed his ball off to her and even tried sharing it with her (unheard of with strangers). Aksel has separation anxiety and usually has a pretty hard time when I travel. After seeing Quiana for 2 mornings in a row (meet & greet included), Aksel woke up on fhe 3rd day anticipating her arrival. He pickup up his stuffy and stood at the door waiting. Needless to say, seeing that instantly made my heart smile. He has a long top knot and shook out his ponytail, she took time to find something to his hair back before leaving When it's wet outside, she attempts to at least dry his feet, even though he's more interested in playing tug of war with the towel. She's my favourite person of the month and is definitely going to be a part of Aksel's village moving forward.”

“Autumn was amazing with my kitty who is usually shy. They became the best of friends! I will not hesitate to request Autumn’s services again. I’ve been very reluctant to travel because a good sitter is hard to find. Autumn is top notch. Thank you Autumn!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Heights
Sophia was great to work with! She was willing to accommodate my request with short notice and was flexible when I needed to modify plans. She was very communicative and sent photo updates. She gave great attention and care to my two pets. They were immediately comfortable with her. I will definitely book her again!

Cassandra is an absolutely fantastic sitter. She is proactive, detail oriented, and reliable. We were gone for a week and have two very spoiled cats. I left a long list of things I wanted her to do for us, including giving one of our cats his inhaler every day, and mixing in supplements into food, along with lots of preferences to keep their routine as normal as possible. Cassandra not only followed everything we requested, but went above and beyond. She gave us detailed reports about how the cats were doing and photos every day for us. We do not leave our cats alone often and I was so happy to have someone that I knew was exceedingly capable of caring for them. We had a few issues with another sitter that was also booked for another time of day while we were away on the same trip, and I think I would've lost my mind if Cassandra wasn't around. She gave me peace of mind that she was handling any potential problems, even if she wasn't the one that caused them. Thank you again for all of your efforts and keeping Spooky and Jinx happy and healthy while we were away!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
