“Great service, very thorough. We loved the daily reports and photos. We feel very confident that our cats are in good hands and everything is perfect upon our return”

About: I grew up with cats and dogs and love all animals honestly! Due to space, my husband and I have two cats and are hoping for a farm one day. I’d love to help take care of your furry friend! I am flexible and can come over every 2 hours or so if needed at the most! I have my own vehicle and am happy to drop in and make sure your pet feels safe and secure. I am very conscious and wary of keeping your home clean and safe. Just leave me detailed instructions and I’m happy to follow them exactly.
“Jeana is super flexible and great with puppies too! She left our home cleaner than we found it, and we’re grateful to have found her. Also a phenomenal pup photographer if you’re looking for that kinda thing!”

“I am so grateful we found Ian!! He is so good with our dogs and always professional. He goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. I feel like we can travel with peace of mind knowing he is taking care of them. I can’t recommend him enough!”

“Andrea has been amazing! The dogs love her. She is very responsive and gives great updates in her visit details. She was willing to stop by ahead of our first scheduled drop-in to meet the pups. I’ve rebooked with her and plan to continue!”

About: I own a 4 year old rescue named Cody who is the medium white and black dog in my pictures! He is a cuddle bug and loves to be near his humans. Cody is a calming presence for other dogs that I dog sit, and at the same time he loves to play. He is truly a very good boy and loves spending time with other dogs. He is leash trained, and we use a harness. I exclusively use positive reinforcement, and I never use punishment such as the prong collar, electric collar, or anything of that nature. When I dog sit for other families, I love to send their humans updates with pictures, food status, and health updates every day. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs and giving pill-based medicine, and Cody lives part time with a 12 year old rescue. In one of my jobs post-college, I worked as a dog daycare attendant, and in this capacity, I supervised, walked, fed, and bathed all kinds of dogs. I work full time as a school counselor, and in the summer I have a ton of availability to take care of your dog especially for longer trips. I have a great walkable neighborhood and live in a one-bedroom apartment with Cody. I love having pets in the bed and on the couch and taking them for 2 walks a day, weather-permitting. If your dog’s safe space is their crate, I am happy to use it and provide some comfort to your dog when they will be in a new environment. I am covered in dog hair all the time, so I am dog shed friendly, and vacuum at least once weekly, sometimes more!
“Emma’s updates are incredible. Her notes are thoughtful and detailed, and the photos she sends are truly the highlight of my day. Seeing Denim happy on her walks gives me so much peace of mind. She puts real care into her communication, and it shows. 🐾”

“Amanda was wonderful! Very professional and attentive. My cats were happy and didn’t misbehave at all while I was gone, which is not normal behavior for them (haha). Will absolutely rebook with Amanda for future drop in visits.”

“Julie was amazing! I would use her services without hesitation. Very professional and competent. Daily would send me pics and videos. I never for one moment was worried about the care she was providing my furry son. I highly recommend her! My cat connected with her and went into cat loaf and pet me mode almost immediately. That in itself is a huge sign of her highly rated skill level.”

“Nicollette took great care of the kitties, and was really communicative throughout. She was helpful and patient when our litter robot acted up, and even came back for an unplanned visit when our flight was changed. We felt very good having her in our home and taking care of our babies!”

“So grateful for Samantha for watching my cats. I appreciate her communication and thoroughness. Thank you for sending pictures of the cats while I was on vacation. I highly recommend her and would use her service again.”

“Anica took such good care of our dog and cat. Even though our cat is spicy, she still went out of her way to engage with her safely! When our dog got a tick, she removed it for us instead of waiting for us to get home. She was also super flexible when our travel plans changed unexpectedly. It was such a comfort when things were chaotic, we knew Anica was taking great care of our babies. Will definitely be using her services again!”

“Per usual Kathryn is an amazing pet sitter. She is my primary cat sitter & both my kitties & I absolutely love her. She’s on time, friendly, helpful & leaves the best follow ups!”

“Such an absolutely amazing sitter! I trusted her with my cat and got nothing but wonderful updates and pics throughout the weekend. Thank you so much Robin! I’ll absolutely book with her again!”

About: Animal lover who misses working with them daily. Former Peace Corps volunteer and beekeeper. I’m now in a job where I don’t get to interact with animals regularly so this is my chance to hang with furry friends! If you want a buddy for your dog (or cat!), someone to walk, run (I’m an avid runner) or play with - I’m your girl! I have a flexible schedule, and am quick to respond to texts and calls. Working at a horse barn since I was 11 years old, I have developed a strong work ethic and value for reliable consistency in whatever job I’m doing. As a note, I kindly request meet and greets for all situations. I have consistently been a dog walker/pet sitter throughout my life and adore my four legged friends. Hopefully hear from you soon! Generally wake up early and go for walks around 7AM, about 30-50min (obviously can adjust depending on dog’s need!). Have a fenced in yard so pup will have full run while we’re home as well. Mid-morning walk around 11 - shorter of about 15-30 minutes and mid afternoon walk around 3 or so. Longer evening walk around 6 or so of about 30-50mins. It’s just my husband and I so someone is usually home with them the majority of the stay. On weekends we try to go on hikes as well, but this would be communicated in advance pending dog’s fitness and owner comfort with taking the dogs places. I have a fenced in yard with a doggie door if your dog is trained on how to use them. It’s just my husband and I at home, we have about 1700SF of 3 floor duplex. Our neighborhood is great for walking with sidewalks everywhere and a park 5 minutes away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Huntington
Rachel took such good care of our furry little guy! She communicated so well and it was fun to get her write-up and pics from each visit. I felt very comfortable and happy that he was in such good hands. As a cat owner herself… I knew she could handle our cat’s quirks and playfulness. ☺️🐈 I highly recommend and Rachel…we’ll definitely use her again! 😍

Michelle was fantastic! Took time to get to know Eloise’s setup and preferences before she started and sent great photos that I got to enjoy while I was away. She was careful and communicative the whole visit and I can tell my cat loved her. Definitely would re-book.

Carolina is the best! She frequently updates her availability, and is very responsive and dependable. As someone with a scaredy cat, I love that she always makes sure to find where our orange cat is hiding and send us “proof of life” pics. She is great with our friendly cat too and always sends us pics of them playing. I would highly recommend Carolina as a sitter.

Shannon took wonderful care of our cat, Valentino, while we were away. From the start, it was clear she has a special way with cats. She was patient, attentive, and took the time to make Valentino feel comfortable, which gave us so much peace of mind. We really appreciated the updates and photos she shared, and it was reassuring to see Valentino relaxed and well cared for. It's not easy to leave your pet behind, but knowing he was in such kind and capable hands made all the difference. We're so grateful for Shannon's care and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable pet sitter!

I've hired Susan for a number of years to care for my beloved cat when I'm away for 1-3 weeks. I can recommend her without reservations. She is highly reliable, understands cats and keeps me informed. I'm very grateful for her help on something very important to me and my kitty.
I had the pleasure of re-booking Daisy to watch my cat for another weekend. She was wonderful in providing timely updates and in dealing with some of the mischief my cat got into while we were gone. I am so grateful for her kindness in caring for our new cat and flexibility. Thank you Daisy!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Huntington. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
