“Erin was fantastic and sweet with my Lucky. I asked her to come slightly earlier than the app would allow and she obliged. She left a cute picture of their walk and a funny note afterwards. I highly recommend Erin!”

“Brittani has been walking my dog Denim this past week, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Returning to the office has been a huge adjustment for both me and Denim since she struggles with separation anxiety, but Brittani has been so patient, kind, communicative, and reliable throughout the transition. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with, and that peace of mind means everything to me. Really grateful we found her, and Denim is too 🐾”

“Hilary was great with our pug! She was reliable and provided updates and was even able to get our girl back in her crate after her walk, when she can be a bit stubborn. She was communicative and made booking and everything easy! Will definitely book Hilary again!”

“We used Michael and Erin for some last minute dog walking needs. They were very responsive, timely and professional. The dogs enjoyed a nice long walk with them. We received great feedback and rover cards in return.”

“Peter has been so great with my dog Milo! He has a history of anxiety and is not always great with other dogs, but Peter has been so patient with him despite his quirks! I look forward to continue booking him for future care needs :)”
About: I have lived with and taken care of dogs for 14 years. I am a homebody at heart so will be home with your fur baby most of the time! I work remotely from home so will be around to play and cuddle & walk your pet throughout the day. I’m not able to host your pet at my home but can stay at yours I am a very cautious, quiet person who loves quiet nights in with a book. Because of this, your pet will be safe & receive cuddles all day long!

“Daisy was amazing and truly came through for me at the last minute. She was kind, communicative, and clearly great with dogs. My dog Denim took to her right away and seemed so happy and comfortable after their time together, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I really appreciated how flexible and reliable she was, especially on short notice. I would absolutely book with Daisy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker.”

“Sun has been great with our dog (Max), a 95-pound Staffy-Boxer mix, who can be excitable and overly rambunctious at times. Sun is very responsive to messages through Rover and has been very accommodating when unexpected circumstances crop up (e.g., ensuring Max has dinner if we have to stay late at the office). She’s also surprised Max with the occasional treat (like puppy pops on warm days), but she always checks in ahead of time to make sure he’s allowed to have them.”

About: We are back! Hello and thank you for consider the Dorsey family to take care of your pet while you enjoy a vacay! i have two girls who help me with caring for your animal while you are away, so your pet will get plenty of loving. In addition to my girls, I also am the face behind Stacey D’s Bulldogs. So I have some bulldogs that reside here in my home along with a litter of pups from time to time. So I am experienced in all bulldog or short snout breeds and their needs. We also specialize in those new pups that are still potty training and learning the ropes! I work from home 5 days a week so I have a pretty flexible drop in/walk schedule and if you pup needs extra potty breaks I can give breaks every two hour. I welcome ur dog in the comfort they need to keep anxiety away while their owners are enjoying a good vacation! While my bulldogs are crate trained I do not require your pup to be crated but will continue crate training if that’s what your request are. We never leave dogs out roaming unsupervised and I have a seperate space for each dog including “the dog room”. Safety is my #1 priority!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Huntington
Asher has been the best Rover experience I’ve ever had for one of my pets. He’s punctual, attentive, and truly cares for your pets like they are his own. Asher goes above and beyond for my girl, Rue. I just adopted her a couple months ago, so she is still getting used to her new environment. Asher is so patient and kind, and he gives me a thorough report every day as to how she does. I can’t recommend Asher enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve only been with Olivia for a week and I already feel like my boy is in the best hands. She’s so warm and caring with him. She keeps me updated with photos and little check-ins throughout the day, which means the world to a dog parent. So grateful we found her!

I love Veronica!!!! I have an upcoming extended trip at the end of the month. I have talked with Veronica about the trip and shared that I always feel very anxious whenever I have to leave Crosby for an extended period time. Veronica has been SO calm, patient, understanding and flexible. She has done everything possible to put my mind and my nerves at ease. Today, Veronica went above and beyond on her visit and walk with Crosby. I’m so relieved and grateful to have connected with Veronica !! She’s AMAZING!!!! ❤️❤️ Thank you, Veronica!!!

Hilary did a great job taking care of Mona while we were away. Communication was excellent, she was reliable, and it was clear Mona was comfortable and happy in her care. Mona is 17 and has a few extra needs, including medication, and Hilary handled everything perfectly. We came home to a happy dog and had complete peace of mind while we were gone. We’d absolutely book with her again.

Vianca is a rockstar and I can't say enough good things about her. She is a wonderful human and loves animals and they in turn love her. She is attuned to the needs of my senior princess and I feel so comfortable with leaving my squishy baby with Vianca. She is the best!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Huntington. On Rover:
- 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
