I'm comfortable reading body language, handling leash-reactive or nervous dogs, and giving oral and injectable meds. I went through 12 weeks of puppy school and homework with him, and I gave him daily medication for years, including fluids at home. Months of slow, patient exposure work — literally one more step out the front door each day — turned him into the happy, confident dog he is now.
