About: I’ve always had dogs in my life! I adopted my first dog, Beth, in 2015 when she was just 14 weeks old, and I trained her myself. During the pandemic, I adopted my second dog, Buz, at 8 months old who had aggression and resource guarding issues. Because of them both, I am very watchful of dog behaviors and am not afraid of big barks! I know training basics and am comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes! I am a teacher in SE DC, so during the school year, my availability is primarily evenings and weekends. During the summer, my availability is very open! I am very attentive and respectful of others homes, dogs, and instructions. Knowing that my own dogs take a minute to warm up to someone new, I will be sure to follow specific routines or guidance given! Your home will remain as it was when I enter!

Avid pet lover, but have a soft spot for cats Work from home so I have time to sneak in belly rubs and ear scratches throughout the day. If your cat/dog isn’t the most social we car look at each other from the across the room. I have a 2 bed room condo. Enough space for all to enjoy themselves. A nice park for the walks, and nice windows for the cats to peer into the outside world.

Mickela was great with my cats, and we have a lot of cats. She was able to make each of my cats feel safe and cared for while I was gone on a very long work trip. Cassandra is an absolutely fantastic sitter. She is proactive, detail oriented, and reliable. We were gone for a week and have two very spoiled cats. I left a long list of things I wanted her to do for us, including giving one of our cats his inhaler every day, and mixing in supplements into food, along with lots of preferences to keep their routine as normal as possible. Cassandra not only followed everything we requested, but went above and beyond. She gave us detailed reports about how the cats were doing and photos every day for us. We do not leave our cats alone often and I was so happy to have someone that I knew was exceedingly capable of caring for them. We had a few issues with another sitter that was also booked for another time of day while we were away on the same trip, and I think I would've lost my mind if Cassandra wasn't around. She gave me peace of mind that she was handling any potential problems, even if she wasn't the one that caused them. Rachel did drop-in visits for our kitten for our weekend away. She took great care of our kitten while we were away, playing with her all over the house and a variety of toys, including remembering our kitten’s favorites.
