Your Pet’s Vet Tech Bestie 🐾 🩺♥️

Paws are a girl’s best friend ❤️🐾 ‼️🚨 Important Note About My Schedule & Availability 🚨‼️ I work long shifts at an animal hospital, which can range from 6–10+ hours depending on the day. I always want to be upfront so you can feel fully comfortable before booking. If bookings are scheduled in advance, I do have some flexibility and may be able to adjust my schedule to better accommodate your pet’s needs — just let me know ahead of time! That said, your pet will still receive consistent, attentive care! I’m able to check in during breaks, and in some cases, pets are even welcome to come with me to work (my own dog loves it there 🐶). For house-sitting, I typically prefer to sleep at my own home, but I’m open to discussing overnight stays depending on your pet’s needs. Even when I’m not staying overnight, I make sure your pet is well cared for — I spend quality time with them before work and return in the evening (usually between 7:00 PM–10:30 PM) for feedings, medications, walks, playtime, and lots of love. On weekends, I have much more flexibility and can provide extended, more consistent daytime care. ❤️ --- Hi, I’m Bria! My goal is to make you feel like you never even left your fur baby at home. As a pet mom of six, I truly understand how hard it can be to be away from your animals — so I treat every pet like they’re my own. --- 🐾 About Me • Certified in Pet CPR & First Aid, Pet Nutrition, and Veterinary Assistance • Currently work at VCA Animal Hospital in Washington, DC • In school working toward my Veterinary Technician degree • Passionate about animals since I was six — caring for them isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am --- 🐶 Additional Services I Offer I’m trained and experienced in: • Bathing • Nail trims • Ear cleaning • Anal gland expression • Administering medications (oral, ear, eye) • Giving SQ fluids • Basic obedience training --- 🌟 Experience & Approach I have hands-on experience with a wide range of animals — including exotics — and I’m comfortable with all temperaments, from energetic to shy or anxious. I take a gentle, patient approach with every pet to help them feel safe and comfortable. Building trust is very important to me, and I’m always happy to schedule a meet-and-greet so you feel completely confident leaving your pet in my care. I also drive, so transportation is never an issue! --- 🐕‍🦺 Final Notes • Potty breaks are typically every 6–8 hours depending on my work schedule • My schedule can vary, so flexibility is appreciated • I prefer to sleep at my own home but am open to discussing options I can’t wait to meet you and your little nugget! 🐾❤️ If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out — I’m here to make things as easy and stress-free as possible for both you and you

Safety, trust & environment

I am very thorough when it comes to following each owner’s specific rules, routines, and preferences. If I ever need clarification, I will always ask questions to make sure your pet’s care is done exactly the way you want it. I understand that every pet is unique, with their own personality, needs, comfort level, and routine. Because of that, I tailor my care to what works best for each individual pet, whether they need extra patience, structure, playtime, space, or reassurance.

My senior dog has a lot of medical and behavioral needs, and it’s hard for me to feel comfortable leaving him with a sitter. With Bria, not only did she seem to understand and love my old man, but she used her vet tech skills to administer all of his meds and closely monitor his respiratory rate. She flagged a heart failure episode early and worked with my dog’s cardiologist over the phone to adjust his mediation dosage to ensure he was stable while I was in flight. Bria’s expertise, reliable communication and nurturing personality were a godsend for my dog and me. I would definitely rebook and trust her implicitly. Would highly recommend, especially to go above and beyond for dogs with special needs.

Bria was wonderful with our senior, special-needs dog. She took great care to make sure he was comfortable at all times and kept us updated with thoughtful communication throughout her stay. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. We look forward to having her back again!

Bria was great with my kitties, even though they can be a handful. She definitely gave us peace of mind that our babies were okay while we were gone, plenty of check ins and pictures. Will definitely have her watch them again 🩷

Schedule

Please read my full profile before reaching out so you have a clear understanding of my schedule, experience, and the type of care I provide. I work in an animal hospital, so my hours can vary depending on the needs of the day. Because of this, I am very intentional about the bookings I accept and only take on pets when I know I can provide dependable, attentive care. For some bookings, I may also be able to bring your pet with me to the animal hospital if you would prefer them to be monitored more closely throughout the day. This can be a great option for pets who do well in that environment and may benefit from extra supervision. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my priority, and I’m happy to discuss what care plan would work best for them.
