Please read my full profile before reaching out so you have a clear understanding of my schedule, experience, and the type of care I provide. I work in an animal hospital, so my hours can vary depending on the needs of the day. Because of this, I am very intentional about the bookings I accept and only take on pets when I know I can provide dependable, attentive care. For some bookings, I may also be able to bring your pet with me to the animal hospital if you would prefer them to be monitored more closely throughout the day. This can be a great option for pets who do well in that environment and may benefit from extra supervision. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my priority, and I’m happy to discuss what care plan would work best for them.

I am very thorough when it comes to following each owner’s specific rules, routines, and preferences. If I ever need clarification, I will always ask questions to make sure your pet’s care is done exactly the way you want it. I understand that every pet is unique, with their own personality, needs, comfort level, and routine. Because of that, I tailor my care to what works best for each individual pet, whether they need extra patience, structure, playtime, space, or reassurance.

Información que a Bria H. le gustaría saber sobre tu mascota

Information I Need to Know About Your Pet To provide the safest, most personalized care possible, please share any important details about your pet before booking. This helps me understand their needs, routine, comfort level, and any safety precautions I should be aware of. Please let me know about: • Medications: Any current prescriptions, supplements, or special care instructions, including dosage and timing. • Leash Reactivity: Whether your pet pulls, lunges, barks, or reacts to other dogs, people, bikes, cars, or wildlife on walks. • Dog/Cat Aggression: Any history of not getting along with other animals, including dogs, cats, or small pets. • Food Aggression / Resource Guarding: Any reactions around food, treats, toys, beds, crates, or personal items. • Bite or Nip History: Any previous biting, nipping, snapping, or warning behavior, no matter how minor. • Door Dashing / Escape Risk: Whether your pet tries to run out of doors, gates, crates, or vehicles. • Spay/Neuter Status: Whether your pet is spayed or neutered. For female pets, please let me know if they are currently in heat or may be going into heat. • Anxiety or Triggers: Any fears, sensitivities, or situations that may cause stress, such as storms, loud noises, strangers, handling, or being left alone. • Feeding & Routine: Their normal feeding schedule, potty routine, walk routine, favorite activities, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. This information allows me to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that matches their individual needs.

Please read my full profile before reaching out, especially the “About Bria” section at the top, so you have a clear understanding of my schedule, experience, and the care I provide. Although my schedule can be busy, I am very intentional with the bookings I accept and always make sure each pet receives attentive, loving, and reliable care. During my downtime, I love creating fun and enriching experiences for the pets in my care. With owner permission, this may include long walks, dog park visits, car rides, pup cups, pet-friendly outings, or special treats. These little adventures can help keep pets mentally stimulated, happy, and relaxed while you’re away. Because I work 6–10 hour shifts at an animal hospital, I may also have the option to bring your pet to work with me if you would prefer them to have more supervision throughout the day. My hospital practices Fear Free methods, which focus on creating positive experiences through treats, affection, patience, and low-stress handling. For pets who are comfortable in that environment, this can be a great way to receive extra supervision, socialization, and positive exposure to the veterinary setting. I can also offer basic training support for owners who are interested, along with owner-approved enrichment such as PetSmart trips, new toys, chews, or special treats. My goal is always to make sure your nugget feels safe, loved, engaged, and cared for like family while you’re away.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas

Paws are a girl’s best friend ❤️🐾 ‼️🚨 Important Note About My Schedule & Availability 🚨‼️ I work long shifts at an animal hospital, which can range from 6–10+ hours depending on the day. I always want to be upfront so you can feel fully comfortable before booking. If bookings are scheduled in advance, I do have some flexibility and may be able to adjust my schedule to better accommodate your pet’s needs — just let me know ahead of time! That said, your pet will still receive consistent, attentive care! I’m able to check in during breaks, and in some cases, pets are even welcome to come with me to work (my own dog loves it there 🐶). For house-sitting, I typically prefer to sleep at my own home, but I’m open to discussing overnight stays depending on your pet’s needs. Even when I’m not staying overnight, I make sure your pet is well cared for — I spend quality time with them before work and return in the evening (usually between 7:00 PM–10:30 PM) for feedings, medications, walks, playtime, and lots of love. On weekends, I have much more flexibility and can provide extended, more consistent daytime care. ❤️ --- Hi, I’m Bria! My goal is to make you feel like you never even left your fur baby at home. As a pet mom of six, I truly understand how hard it can be to be away from your animals — so I treat every pet like they’re my own. --- 🐾 About Me • Certified in Pet CPR & First Aid, Pet Nutrition, and Veterinary Assistance • Currently work at VCA Animal Hospital in Washington, DC • In school working toward my Veterinary Technician degree • Passionate about animals since I was six — caring for them isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am --- 🐶 Additional Services I Offer I’m trained and experienced in: • Bathing • Nail trims • Ear cleaning • Anal gland expression • Administering medications (oral, ear, eye) • Giving SQ fluids • Basic obedience training --- 🌟 Experience & Approach I have hands-on experience with a wide range of animals — including exotics — and I’m comfortable with all temperaments, from energetic to shy or anxious. I take a gentle, patient approach with every pet to help them feel safe and comfortable. Building trust is very important to me, and I’m always happy to schedule a meet-and-greet so you feel completely confident leaving your pet in my care. I also drive, so transportation is never an issue! --- 🐕‍🦺 Final Notes • Potty breaks are typically every 6–8 hours depending on my work schedule • My schedule can vary, so flexibility is appreciated • I prefer to sleep at my own home but am open to discussing options I can’t wait to meet you and your little nugget! 🐾❤️ If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out — I’m here to make things as easy and stress-free as possible for both you and you

My senior dog has a lot of medical and behavioral needs, and it’s hard for me to feel comfortable leaving him with a sitter. With Bria, not only did she seem to understand and love my old man, but she used her vet tech skills to administer all of his meds and closely monitor his respiratory rate. She flagged a heart failure episode early and worked with my dog’s cardiologist over the phone to adjust his mediation dosage to ensure he was stable while I was in flight. Bria’s expertise, reliable communication and nurturing personality were a godsend for my dog and me. I would definitely rebook and trust her implicitly. Would highly recommend, especially to go above and beyond for dogs with special needs.

Bria was wonderful with our senior, special-needs dog. She took great care to make sure he was comfortable at all times and kept us updated with thoughtful communication throughout her stay. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. We look forward to having her back again!
