“This was my dog’s first walk with Youlee. My dog was nervous at first but when she came home she was so happy! Youlee was on time and sent lots of photos and videos. I’ll definitely hire her again.”

“Jessie did a great job checking up on Nero. We just returned to the office and he’s getting used to a new schedule and a new climate. She remembered his quirks and was very attuned to his needs and moods. I felt really confident he was in good hands! I would absolutely hire Jessie again in the future :)”

About: I’ve always loved animals and grew up with them, so caring for pets has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors practically my whole life, but my most important clients are my brother’s two babies, Rue and Rosie. I recently moved away from them and definitely miss having sweet animals around, so Rover felt like the perfect way to get some more pet time. I’m responsible, attentive, and will treat your pets like they’re my own! I do work full time, but my office is incredibly flexible and offers hybrid working hours, which means I have plenty of flexibility throughout the week and am pretty much at the disposal of any furry friend! I’m able to work from home when needed, and my schedule allows me to make time for walks, drop-ins, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m also usually home in the evenings and have open weekends, so pet care fits pretty easily into my routine. Since I’ll be caring for pets in their own homes, I want to make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their normal environment. I’ll stick to their usual routines, follow any instructions you leave for me, and of course make sure they’re happy and well taken care of. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own!
“Hannah was great getting Logan moving in the middle of the day while I was at work. She's super responsive and was a huge help to me in my first week back in the office.”

“Eric is a great dog walker! He walks Ranger every week and manages him well. Since he’s a bigger dog, I always ensure a walker feels comfortable managing him, and Eric is great! He is easy to communicate with, flexible to last minute needs, and proactive in ensuring we have our weekly walk booked for a convenient time. I highly recommend Eric’s services for your one-off or regular dog care needs!”

“Daniel did an amazing job coming through on short notice for us. He’s reliable + consistent. Looking forward to working w him in the future. Would recommend”

“Anne was great dealing with our dog who gets anxious around new people. With a bit of patience and treats, Anne calmed Archie’s nerves without us around and was able to take him for a walk. Very appreciative of Anne taking the time to work with our dog!”

“Dominique is reliable, professional and kind. He arrives rain or shine with a smile. He walks our dog for the full time and our dog comes back safe and happy. Very pleased we found Dominique.”

“One of the best dog walkers! Autumn was great with my senior dog. She provides helpful notes for each visit, such as he had some water after the walk or enjoyed the extra belly rubs. Highly recommend for all dogs, but recommend Autumn if you have an older dog. She will provide them with lots of love and attention!”

“Noah has been great with our dog Toph, who can be a handful. He’s very responsive and follows our detailed instructions well. We are thankful to have his help.”

“Ann is fantastic! Not only is she wonderful with my dog, Debbie, she is very communicative and reliable. When Debbie was sick, Ann checked in to see how she was doing, and even alerted me to some of the early symptoms. I am incredibly grateful to know that my dog is in such caring hands!”

“Julia literally gave our dog an extra cashmere sweater she had to keep him warm on his walks in the snow! She is incredible and has the biggest heart! Every morning Banx waits for her by the door- he can’t wait for his walks!”

“You should hire Paige! She has been great with my nervous rescue dog and is so patient with him. I feel like I’m leaving him with someone who cares about him as much as I do. I cant thank Paige enough!”

About: I’ve been a dog sitter for friends and family for over 7 years. I love dog walking and giving dogs the opportunity to sniff and play during their time outside. I also am a cat mom and cat whisperer. My family has 5 cats and I have 1 so I am very well versed in understanding cat body language and boundaries. I work remotely and have a lot of down time between my meetings. My work schedule is pretty flexible and I am able to take some time off during the day if need be for pet care. I live in an apartment, with many parks around me for dog walks. I have a balcony in my apartment and am vigilant to never let animals out there for safety purposes.
“Hilary was great with our pug! She was reliable and provided updates and was even able to get our girl back in her crate after her walk, when she can be a bit stubborn. She was communicative and made booking and everything easy! Will definitely book Hilary again!”

Autumn was great with Cooper! He looked forward to her walks every day and she took amazing care of him and our home. We appreciated how attentive she was to Cooper and it was clear how much she cared about him and made sure that he was happy and communicated with us clearly each day. We will always reach out to Autumn first when we need a walker/sitter!

Ann is fantastic! Not only is she wonderful with my dog, Debbie, she is very communicative and reliable. When Debbie was sick, Ann checked in to see how she was doing, and even alerted me to some of the early symptoms. I am incredibly grateful to know that my dog is in such caring hands!

As all these reviews already indicate, Nathalia is extremely thoughtful and dedicated. She patiently adjusted strategies with our once apprehensive 85-pound gentle giant and worked with us to figure out different schedules and tactics to support his walks. I highly recommend Nathalia for anyone looking for a trustworthy and communicative caretaker.

Jessie did a great job checking up on Nero. We just returned to the office and he’s getting used to a new schedule and a new climate. She remembered his quirks and was very attuned to his needs and moods. I felt really confident he was in good hands! I would absolutely hire Jessie again in the future :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
