About: I've taken care of dogs since I was in high-school. I would take my neighbors dogs on walks and make sure they had through play time while their families were away. I love big dogs and I am very comfortable with them. I've owned a Bernese Mountain Dog for several years now and know how to balance taking a large dog on a walk and playing with them. Each dog is an individual and I love getting to know their unique personalities, play style, and walk preferences. I have experience giving daily medicine to both small and large dogs and would be happy to do so if needed. I also ensure to always pick up after a dog for potty breaks. I currently work full time in DC. I have flexibility before and after work during weekdays and I am generally free every weekend. I also have several remote days per week where I can do drop in visits. I am happy to take your pets on a walk when life gets busy! Being a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to keep the floor and any counter or shelves they can reach clean and free of items that they could chew or swallow. I will always make sure that your pet is safe in your home. I will make sure that any pet related messes are promptly cleaned up. I will treat your home with the same respect I treat mine with!
“Daniel was responsive, professional, and great with our dog who can be somewhat shy. He braved the triple digit temperatures to ensure she was getting out for bathroom breaks. Highly recommend!”

About: I recently graduated with a PhD from George Mason University, so I'm highly organized and detail-oriented. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, and pet sitting provides much-needed joy and balance to my sedentary work at a computer. I work remotely with flexible hours, so I am able to accommodate specific feeding times, frequent check-ins, and potty breaks. As a proud cat owner, I'm very observant and knowledgeable about cat behavior and body language. I provide calm and gentle care that helps even the most timid cats feel secure and safe in their own space. I am skilled with trimming nails and brushing, and am happy to provide those services upon request, depending on your cat's tolerance. I also have several years of experience managing overnight house sits and walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including Greyhounds, Pit Bulls, and Australian Shepherds. I am able to care for and manage a wide range of dog energy levels. Whether your dog is high-energy and needs a brisk walk or is an elderly senior who requires a slow, gentle pace and careful supervision, I’ve got them covered. I'm currently working a fully remote, part-time job so my schedule is very flexible. I am able to offer drop-in visits any day of the week, any time of day between 8am and 8pm. I offer overnight visits for up to 3 consecutive nights. Home visits and overnights: I double-check that all doors are securely locked after every visit, bring in mail, and ensure your home was well-maintained during my stay. Leash Safety & Walking: On walks, safety is non-negotiable. I use a secure grip, stay highly observant of our surroundings, and never allow interaction with unknown dogs or people on the street unless you give me permission. Whether handling a strong, high-energy breed, or a sensitive, anxious dog, I maintain total focus and connection with your dog. Cat Care: For drop-ins, I make sure to provide for all your cat's needs including changing water, feeding, scooping litter, and playtime, grooming, and cuddles as requested. I also take time to read your cat's body language—if they want play and interaction, I'm fully present; if they prefer a calm presence from a distance, I respect their boundaries. I'm experienced with brushing and cleaning ears, so I am happy to offer that upon request, depending on your cat's temperament and needs. Updates: You will receive detailed updates and photos during every visit and at regular intervals during overnight stays.

I can promise that your animal will be safe and loved under my care. I personally was raised with 2 amazing dogs, a crazy turtle, and a fun-loving hedgehog in my household. I now currently live with a cat who loves to play so very much. I have a wide range of experience and would use my personal knowledge to take care of your pet in the best way possible. I work full time Monday through Friday. I am available all weekends and have lots more flexibility on Thursdays and Fridays as I telework those days. My times of availability Monday through Wednesday are 3:30-11:30 My times of availability Thursday through Friday 2:00-11:30 I also am available to house sit starting Wednesday afternoons as I telework Thursday and Friday and can work from any location. “I had a great experience meeting with Fernanda during our meet and greet. She's friendly, professional, and took the time to get to know both me and my cat (even though she was hiding!). I appreciated how thoughtful she was in asking questions about my cat's routine, preferences, and care needs. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals and wants to provide the best possible care. The meet and greet left me feeling confident and comfortable about leaving my cat in her care. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Hannah again and highly recommend her!”

Jessie was absolutely incredible, stopping in every day for a week to play with and take care of our two cats! She gave thoughtful updates and lots of pictures, which we really appreciated. Her communication was great and you can tell she’s very detailed oriented. She even let us know our smoke alarm battery was dying and we were able to contact maintenance to get it fixed while we were away. I highly recommend booking her for a reliable sitter!!

Amanda was the perfect sitter for our 2 cats! We feel lucky she was the first to respond to our desperate search for last-minute pet care. We knew she was a perfect fit as soon as we met her on that first meet & greet. Amanda has a wonderful friendly and calm demeanor so we were not surprised that our 2 scaredy-cats quickly became comfortable with her during the daily visits. We will definitely call on her again, and recommend her to anyone looking for someone to provide loving care for their pets!!

Simone was truly amazing! She was super easy to communicate with and stopped by before my trip to get to know my two cats. She sent the best updates and photos and took the time to play and hang with my playful kitty and my shy kitty! She made me feel like the girls were in the best possible hands while I was away!

Megan was AMAZING! This was our first time using Rover and it was a great experience. Megan was very responsive, always sent pictures during her visits, and provided a very detailed recap of the visit. This was our first longer trip since we adopted and I was more than comfortable with Megan taking care of our cats. When we have a trip, I will 100% be reaching out to Megan again

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
