“Aimee was wonderful, I will be definitely be asking her to visit with my kitty again! She was able to convince my extremely shy cat to come out from under the bed on her very first visit, and it was clear from all the updates during my lengthy trip that my cat adored her. She always shared great updates and pics, and she closely followed all of my quirky instructions about feedings. Highly recommend!”
“Daniel has been an awesome drop in sitter. Extremely reliable and a great communicator. I am happy to have his services for the duration of my stay in NOVA!”

“I had a great experience with this sitter and would absolutely book again. My cat is extremely shy and usually hides from anyone new, so I wasn’t expecting much interaction—but she still went above and beyond. She took the time to find her, got a photo so I knew she was okay, made sure she had fresh food, and even fully changed out her litter. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing my cat was being cared for properly, even if she wasn’t coming out to socialize. You can tell she’s patient, attentive, and genuinely cares about the animals she’s watching. Highly recommend, especially if you have a more anxious or reserved pet.”

“Spencer and Julia were so kind, responsive, and absolutely amazing with my dog! Loved loved loved the photos they sent - cannot recommend them enough!”

“Ann was so great with our 1 year old pup Poppy! She sent cute photos and kept me updated throughout the visit. Poppy looks forward to seeing her again!”

About: I've taken care of animals since I was a kid. Ever since I can remember there have always been pets and animals in and around my family. My family had dogs and cats growing up, I've also had fish, turtles, and geckos. I have some experience (not certified) in dog training, as I trained my current dog with my brother. I am comfortable with dogs of any size, having grown up around larger breeds. I currently work in the evenings, except for Tuesdays and Saturdays. This leaves me free in the mornings and afternoons to walk and take care of pets. I make sure I have all the information I need about whoever I'm looking after. I ask for the owner's preferences with types of walks, length, play, treats, etc. I report any potential issues with the pets to the owners.
“Drew was great with my “quirky” dogs while I was out of town. She took great care of them. She was on time, provided photos, kept me informed, etc. I would definitely use Drew again in the future.”

“Juliana was the perfect dog sitter to watch our boys! She visited beforehand to make sure she knew how to take care of and walk them, and diligently recorded everything about the walks and feedings and sent a message on how it went and a photo. Would book again!”

“Shannon did a great job of taking care of our puppy! This was our first time leaving him, and Shannon was very communicative throughout the visit to put our mind at ease.”

“Guiselle really went above and beyond to make sure our pets were all happy and comfortable! She was always responsive to questions, sent cute pictures, and gave reassuring updates. We will definitely reach out to her again in the future!”

“Samantha took such good care of my babies while I was away on a trip. She is playful, caring, and truly attentive. She sent us pictures every day and communicated everything in great detail. When one of my dogs started showing signs of ear irritation, she noticed it right away and acted quickly her judgment made us feel completely at ease. We have three dogs, and she did an amazing job with all of them. Highly recommend her!”

“Tara was flexible and responsive and took great care of our pets while we were away. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Sent amazing pictures and was very communicative and able to accommodate my last minute request to watch my cat! I would highly recommend her and book with her again.”

“John dropped in to check on my cat while I was away from him for the first time. He was very diligent about following instructions, wrote up excellent notes on the visit, and was good about communicating with me. I was comfortable that my cat was in good hands!”

“Orianne provided care for my cat for the first time last week while I was out of town. I appreciated that she responded to my request sort of last minute. She was on-time and provided all the services I requested for each visit. She immediately reported an issue when it happened and it was quickly resolved. I would highly recommend Orianne for pet care.”

“We just got our puppy and had to leave for a wedding so we decided to book with Rover. Savannah was great with our puppy and made sure he received love throughout the day!”

“Heather was great! She came over and walked our dog Pickles three times a day while we were out of town for several days. She sent updates and photos with each visit, and she really paid attention to our dog's personality and attitude based on the updates. She was really responsive when I texted. Pickles was very happy and heathy when we returned.”

“Kristina, was above and beyond with Max! This was our first time leaving Max with someone else and I loved the great communication, pictures, and I felt at ease with her work! Thank you for everything!!”

Al took care of our dog while we were away for a week and did an excellent job! He was very conscientious with her care, walks, and in his reports to us. Our dog seemed very happy in Al’s care (more so than with other dog sitters) and we will definitely use Al’s services again!

Dani is our first Rover experience and she has truly set the bar. She did an excellent job and our puppy Chip adored her! She was very communicative, responsive, and fully understood Chip’s routine. She went above and beyond and we’re so grateful for how she cared for our puppy!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
