Caring for senior pets is my specialty, but I have experience with pets of all ages (including newborn puppies!) I've cared for large dogs of my own, for most of my life. I am adept at quickly figuring out a dog's favorite ways to play and interact, and that is a huge part of the bonding process for me. Volunteering at various animal rescue organizations has kept my skills sharp when it comes to interacting with dogs of all size, temperments and with a variety of medical care needs. I currently dog & house sit for some of my neighbors and would like to spend more time, in-between, helping care for more pets. My childhood dog was a tawny Briard, who I loved to groom and trained to do several tricks! Dogs I've had as an adult include a 100+ lb Labrador Retreiver, an Australian Cattle Dog and a Pitbull Mix. I also have experience caring for dogs post-surgery (including administering IV drips) and blind dogs.
