“Juliana was the perfect dog sitter to watch our boys! She visited beforehand to make sure she knew how to take care of and walk them, and diligently recorded everything about the walks and feedings and sent a message on how it went and a photo. Would book again!”

“Ajia is professional and communicative. I have two cats who aren’t always the easiest to deal with and have complicated medication, however Ajia handled them with ease. She also has managed to be in good graces with my oldest cat who is notoriously moody. I felt that my cats were in good hands.”

“Samantha took great care of our fur babies when we were out of town for the weekend. She sent us detailed updates and took fabulous photos of our cats, which made us feel so much more comfortable. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Hawani was a life saver! I booked her last minute and she was able to go check on my pup. Little did she know what she was going to walk into! My escape artist got out of his cage and unfortunately pooped around my apartment. Hawani was kind enough to send me updates immediately when she got into my place. And was kind enough to clean up after him even though I told her it was okay! She was also very understanding stating she understood (as he is still a pup). Throughout her booking she kept me updated and was very thorough about taking care of him! Sent me photos and videos. She also was helpful to make sure he was fully secure in his crate as he got out before she arrived. Highly recommend! Thank you Hawani!”

“My cat Hannah was well taken care of and in good hands while I was away! Lisa gave great drop-in visits and left Rover cards to keep me updated. Thanks for a reliable service!”

“Thank you so much, Kyle! You are the best! I really appreciate your help and care. It gave me such peace of mind knowing my pet was in good hands. Definitely will rebook. Thank you again!”

“Emily is by far one of the most thoughtful, attentive, and loving sitters I’ve ever met. I’m so lucky to have found her and will be using her services for all my kitto needs in the future. I highly recommend her to care for your fur babies!!”
“Spencer and Julia kept me posted throughout the weekend, provided several pictures, and spent a lot of quality time with my cat. Really appreciate their help and communication, and would recommend them to others.”

“Aimee took great care of our shy kitty while we were out of town, giving him his space and plenty of treats. She even met with us before we left to review necessary details. We would 100% use her again!”
“Dani is always communicative and flexible with my requests. Our boy was a bit sick and she made sure he had the proper food and care that he needed. Will definitely be booking again!”

About: I've taken care of animals since I was a kid. Ever since I can remember there have always been pets and animals in and around my family. My family had dogs and cats growing up, I've also had fish, turtles, and geckos. I have some experience (not certified) in dog training, as I trained my current dog with my brother. I am comfortable with dogs of any size, having grown up around larger breeds. I currently work in the evenings, except for Tuesdays and Saturdays. This leaves me free in the mornings and afternoons to walk and take care of pets. I make sure I have all the information I need about whoever I'm looking after. I ask for the owner's preferences with types of walks, length, play, treats, etc. I report any potential issues with the pets to the owners.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs like Boston terrier, golden retriever and cockapoo for years. Neighbors, families and friends, they all are comfortable with me for petting their loved ones. I have experienced with staying with dogs overnight, playing, walking dogs and blushing and cleaning them. I’m pretty easy to get along with any kind of dogs. I’m currently working a part time job, so I have plenty of time for taking care of the pups! I would be available after 6pm on weekdays and full day on Sunday. I’m pretty good and easy to get a long with any kind of dogs with warm heart. I can create and make your loved ones feel safe and comfortable with me.
“Monica was great! She was super attentive and gave wonderful updates. Definitely felt comfortable having her look after my cats. Both of my cats seemed doer comfortable with her. Will definitely book again.”

“Can't speak highly enough about Deborah and the way she cared for my two babies while I was gone. Not only did my babies seem happy and well looked after, but so did my apartment. Deborah went above and beyond to make sure that the pups had healthy treats, even cutting up more pieces of apple when they ran out of my original supply. She made them kong treats (and left the washed and clean), took them on walks, changed potty pads throughout the day, and took out the trash. I hired her for the drop-in visits and she truly exceeded my hopes and expectations. I won't hesitate to reach out to her again when I need someone to look out for my loves. Thank you, Deborah!!!”

“Greta is a very sweet person and Dingo had a great time with her. She has keen attention to details and would really try her best to be flexible and work around with your schedule even it’s last minute. Thank you Greta!”

About: I have taken classes in dog behaviors and how they act when they might need a particular action done. I have a NAPPS certification, which is National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that is earned for all small animals, both including dogs and cats. I have had my own very young puppy, so I know how to handle and train them in a gentle manner that they will respond to. I have tons of experience in senior dogs and cats, so I am patient to more slow animals or paying attention to them more and making sure they have what they need. I have an extremely open schedule and can stay over for longer periods of time than most people. I am free almost every single day for hours on end, so finding when I can come over is no trouble. I’m easy to schedule if I need to house sit, and am extremely responsible and willing to stay overnight when needed. I love taking care of animals in their own homes, knowing they’ll feel the most comfortable surrounded by their familiar surroundings. The only thing I care about is that your furry companions are safe and cared for in a way that they don’t feel out of place or missing the love they got before you left them in my care.
“Shannon did a great job of taking care of our puppy! This was our first time leaving him, and Shannon was very communicative throughout the visit to put our mind at ease.”

“Tara was so so wonderful with my cats! Both of them have separation anxiety and it was their first time with a sitter. I came home to them playing and doing their normal activities with no anxiety. Tara even got my shyest one to come out of her shell.”

Simone is so incredibly communicative. She shares lots of pictures and I always feel looped in to how things are going every day. I cannot imagine having anyone else catsitting them anymore because my kitties are so comfortable with her. Highly recommend!

Naomi was great with Hermes. He warmed up to her in just a short while, which is no small accomplishment. He's usually pretty circumspect around strangers. Naomi kept us well informed with photos, where Hermes seemed to enjoy her company as much as (or more than!) ours.

Leo is such a sweetheart and a real animal lover! I could tell he really cared about my pets’ wellbeing and didn’t just see them as an item to check off on his list. He was on time or early, very communicative, and really helpful, especially since I booked pretty last minute. I would absolutely have him as a sitter again!

Iryna was so wonderful! She was so patient and understanding when there were apartment entry issues. She was able to lure my shy cat from under the bed and get her playing! She sent so many great pictures and I really felt relieved with Iryna checking in on Sylvia. I would absolutely recommend working with Iryna and will be booking with her again! Thank you so so much, Iryna!

Ethan was amazing!!! He went above and beyond. He made sure to play with Hershey a ton ( he’s a super energetic kitten!) and made me feel so much better that he understood a 2.5 month old kittens needs. Ethan even went above and beyond with tying the trash for me. Sent me tons of photos as I was a worrisome new cat mom. He stayed in contact and it was comforting. Will definitely be booking him everytime going forward! He was also available last minute which was extremely gracious of him. Appreciate you Ethan!

We couldn’t be happier with the care our cat received from Fernanda! It was clear from the updates that she wasn’t just stopping by to check in—she genuinely spent quality time with her. Fernanda played with her, brushed her, and gave her plenty of attention, which made such a difference while we were away. Our cat looked relaxed, happy, and completely at ease, and that gave us so much peace of mind. It’s obvious Fernanda truly cares about the pets she looks after, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, dependable, and caring pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
