I’ve helped take care of several friends’ dogs in the past, giving me experience with their high energy, training needs, and extra patience required during their early growth stages. I also have hands-on experience with senior dog care. Since high school, I helped my host family care for their senior dog who needed soft food feeding and a slower, more attentive routine. This taught me how to adjust care based on mobility, comfort, and dietary needs.

Lei has been absolutely wonderful with Freya these past few months! Freya is always so happy when she stops by. She is so attentive and caring with her, wiping her paws and making sure it’s not too hot for her to be outside long. She went above and beyond staying past the appointment time when Freya was stubborn and wouldn’t poop right away. Thank you so much for everything!
Lei has been so great with my 2 boys and is such a great communicator. She always updates me and leaves great summaries on her walks and time spent with my pets.
Trusting someone with your pets can be so stressful, but Lei makes it easy! She is communicative, dependable and very kind to our two boys (1 cat/1 dog). Lei sends pictures regularly and gives informative summaries of her walks/check ins, so we’re never in the dark. Totally recommend her for any walks or stays!

I am doing this pet sitting service full time now as a break after being tax accountant for 5 years. Therefore, my schedule is flexible.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets by following their normal routines, giving them plenty of attention, and keeping their space clean and comfortable. I also have a dedicated pet-safe den available if your pet needs a quiet, secure place to relax. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure every pet feels safe, calm, and well cared for. For the safety of all pets in my care, I require dogs to be up to date on: • Rabies (required by Virginia law) • DHPP/DAPP (Distemper, Parvovirus, Adenovirus, and Parainfluenza) • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Leptospirosis and Canine Influenza vaccines are highly recommended. Proof of vaccination may be requested prior to the booking.
Pets
A typical day
I love engaging pets both physically and mentally to keep them happy and enriched. For cats, I offer plenty of interactive play and gentle scratches, especially in any spots they prefer. For dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks and giving them time to explore the dog park so they can burn energy and satisfy their curiosity. High-energy dogs can enjoy fun and safe obstacle activities to help keep them focused. I also incorporate puzzle feeders and use positive reinforcement to build trust and provide meaningful enrichment during our time together.
