About: I've been dog walking ever since 2020, starting with my sister's retriever mix, my neighbor's dogs of similar size (85 lbs), and a family friend’s corgi. I'm used to taking care of dogs with a lot of energy! I've been entrusted to take of care my sister's dog on my own for extended periods of time since then, spanning anywhere from a week to over two months. I am available mostly from 10 am - 4 pm on weekdays, barring any special circumstances. On weekends I am less flexible in the afternoons. I have a fenced in yard that is decently spacious with lots of slopes for dogs to run across. It's perfect for a game of fetch or just a case of the zoomies! While I do spend most of the day on my own, I can give enough attention to any dog that needs it because of my flexible schedule.

About: As I have evolved, I've found connecting and caring for fur babies brings pure joy. I am here to support your journey with your loved pets. I'm a yoga instructor and teach only on Wednesdays. Im available other weekdays and weekends, anytime after 11am usually. Im able to adjust per requests. I would prefer to care for pets in client's home, where they can be most comfortable with all resources readily available. I'm available to take dogs for walks/day sit.
About: I have had many different dogs over the years and cared for more than one dog at a time, which makes me very comfortable in caring for your fur babies and understanding their many personalities. Also, I believe socialization is very important for all dogs so if you are comfortable, I am able to take them to a dog park (I have one near my home). This will allow them to create new friends and make their experience more enjoyable. Overall, I am trying to avoid getting another pet, so if you let me care for your fur baby I would heavily appreciate it :D As you can tell from my photos I treat all pets like they are a part of my family. Rest assured your baby and I will become best friends. I am a remote worker which allows me more time to care for your babies and a lot of flexibility. I believe this would be a mutually beneficial relationship as I'd be able to enjoy my day playing with dogs, while you won't be worried about taking your dog out. If you ever need to board your dog I am available on the weekends and if you need a house sitter because it would make your fur baby more comfortable I am flexible on those dates as well. I have a multitude of toys, treats, and puzzles to keep them engaged and happy. I also have a dog park which tends to not be busy which allows for running and fetch time in a safe environment.
“Christopher was great at handling our dog-reactive GSD. She listened to Christopher and enjoyed her walks with him. We are very happy with Christopher’s punctuality and updates on expected arrival time. Thanks for your help with Parks!”

About: My family had a golden retriever when I was younger and I have been an animal lover ever since! I have experience with walking dogs and daily check ins as well as overnight stays. I am a big believer in knowing your animals will be left in a loving and engaging environment. I do have experience in administering medications as well, and have worked with a range of puppies to older dogs. Most of my professional experience is with dogs, chickens, and bunnies but I do have a special place in my heart for other animals and especially cats since I have one of my own :) I love to play with any dog I meet so getting to share some love with yours would be the highlight of my day!

“This is our second time using Mark and he is just fantastic! Our two cats are very comfortable with him and he gives great updates with lots of photos, always willing to go the extra mile without even asking, and just a really kind and reliable person overall. We look forward to continuing to use him in the future!”

About: I treat every pet and home like my own! I have experience with all types of animals, so I got you covered from basic feeding and dog walking, to administering meds or bottle feeding kittens. I’ve fostered up to 5 kittens at a time and pet-sat for families that had cats, dogs, and reptiles all under the same roof. I love taking cute photos and videos throughout the day so you know your baby is happy and healthy! New to Rover, but I have been caring for pets of my own and others my whole life. Happy to answer any questions you may have. :) I have a super flexible schedule and can work from anywhere, so I love a good excuse to get some steps in and get a dopamine boost from the furry cuteness! I can’t currently host, but I will treat your home and pet with the same care I would my own. I’m great with instructions, but I’m not shy to ask questions to ensure everything is done in a way that makes you and your pet feel happy, healthy, and safe.
“Krystian is a really great sitter. Very responsive throughout his care of my pets and sent pictures during his check in’s. My dog and cat were very happy with the attention they received while my boyfriend and I were on vacation. Krystian also made sure to spend time petting and playing with them in addition to walks and feeding time. I would recommend Krystian to anyone, he is a really nice and trust-worthy person.”
“Marion was so generous while checking on our cats during the holidays. She gave them extra love and attention above and beyond what we expected! We came home to very happy cats that were almost disappointed it was us walking in the door rather than her! Thank you so much, Marion!!”

About: Hi, I have taken care of many dogs age ranging from a few months to 14 years old and find them all equally adorable. While I have been told that I speak dog - by some folks -I am personally- not so sure about that. But I like to think that most dogs love my tone when I talk with them . I have a lot of experience with both senior dogs and young energetic ones thanks to my own pets, my family's pets, and my volunteer experience with the local humane society. Happy to give you more information on those if you are interested. I don't have a car but have a bike and stay very close to the red line. Looking forward to taking care of your pets. I work from home and can organize my schedule to fit your pet walking needs. I love getting out in the winter and happy to get your dog the exercise it needs. I have experience with senior dogs and reactive pets and can cater to their needs. I will make sure that they feel safe and protected.
About: When it comes to dogs, I have all the patience and love in the world. I'm responsible, playful, and a beacon of positive energy. I've dog sat and walked for friends and neighbors in DC. Our dog Naya (mini Aussie) also loves having a nap buddy. I live in an apartment building that is pet friendly, fenced dog run, conveniently located in within 5min from Rock Creek Park. I have flexible hours. I would be happy to accommodate morning and evening walks when needed. Special Skills: I have been told I give amazing belly rubs. I can sing when they're homesick or feeling down. I am currently on leave from regular 9-5 job. I have flexibility while attending to our own dog (Naya) and personal projects. My partner and I take Naya out 3x a day and try to set up doggy play dates when we can. We doggy proof our apt based on the dog we host as best as possible. We have a small balcony which gives them a great view of nature. We also have an outdoor dog run (fenced) within the building and plenty of friendly dogs that they would get to interact with if they want otherwise there’s plenty of options to go to the nearby rock creek park for personal space too.
“Shakuntala is such a joy to work with! Our puppy Ares adores her and looks forward to their time together each day! She is informative, kind, and loving to Ares. She takes the best photos too which is so great to see when we are away at work :) I would HIGHLY recommend her to take care of anyone’s pets as she picks up on their routines so quickly and makes sure that both the owners and pet are happy at all times! We are so thankful to have met Shakuntala and can’t wait to see all the great times and memories she will be making with Ares.”

“Carolina is amazing! She was able to stop by and check-in on our cats on Christmas Eve. She made sure all of our cats were taken care of and comfortable and was quick in providing us updates. I highly recommend her to any pet parent!”

“Rachel was so wonderful and saved me from having to cancel a trip. I had previously arranged care for my dog that fell through at the last minute. Rachel was more than happy to step in and helped me come up with an alternate plan so he would be well cared for while I was gone.”

Natalie is a wonderful and I’d highly recommend her for anyone with a puppy. She’s great with our 3 month old terrier mix. I’m pretty sure our puppy is more excited to see Natalie walk in than she is to see her own family members come home! Natalie’s also easy to communicate and schedule with and is very reliable. Five stars!

Ilana was fantastic.Ilana took excellent care of my dog Duke while I was out of town for three days. She was reliable, professional, and clearly cared about Duke’s well-being. She handled feeding and walking him twice a day, and giving his daily medication without any issues. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Ilana to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Danny was a God-send! He was super responsive, accommodating, conscientious, and responsible. He was also wonderful with our dog, Mojito, who looks out the door every afternoon as if waiting for Danny. 😃 I can't recommend Danny enough and will definitely be using him again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
