“Such a phenomenal sitter-- she genuinely loves animals and it comes through in her interactions with pets. Sent plenty of pictures throughout my trip and kept me regularly updated. Truly felt like she cared for my cat as if she were my own and that's such a rare trait in a cat sitter.”

“David & Allison took great care of our dog. It was a last minute first time request. David was accommodating to set up an ASAP meet & greet that sealed the deal and put my mind at rest that our boy would be in good and experienced hands. They have a great fenced in yard. Sent daily updates. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend to others.”

“Our pup had an amazing stay at Yi’s place! The HUGE fenced-in yard is perfect for exercise and all the dogs, including ours, were having so much fun. A wonderful, comfortable stay! Yi sent multiple daily updates, and even offered to adjust the update frequency to our preferences. She was so quick with communication and took great care with the pup. We’ve already booked another stay!”

“Marley had a great stay with Cal and Kelly! They were very accommodating to our last minute boarding request when we had a family emergency and had to rush out of town. We really appreciated the many photos and videos they provided during Marley’s stay and we could tell he definitely loved lounging on the couch and running in their backyard! They were super responsive to our questions during the stay and arranging pickup/drop off was very seamless. We would definitely recommend Cal and Kelly for ensuring your dog has a great time in a caring, home environment and will remember them for future stays!”

“Kyle was such a wonderful sitter for my pup over the long weekend! Ringo was well taken care of, socializing with his dogs, and I received daily updates and pictures. It was a wonderful, calm environment.”

“Karen took great care of my dog. A timing issue on pick up came up but Karen conveniently offered to bring the dog to our house to resolve. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I have had many dogs since I was a kid. My whole family have them as family members. I adopted Colby, a mini poodle, 13 years ago and he recently passed on Mar 7, 2026 due to oral cancer one month before he turned 14 yr-old. I will board ONE NON-SHEDDING dog at a time so I can spend quality time with that dog ☺️ I would love help dog owners to walk, play, and love their dogs while they cannot and get some dog love for myself. I miss my dog tremendously so I am not ready to have another. Let me take care and play with your dogs and make them happy ☺️ I work full-time remotely. I can customize my schedule to fit your needs as long as I am given a notice to adjust (I set my work schedule a week in advanced every monday). I love taking a long walk when the weather permit. 😁 Whatever your dog accustomed to, I can adjust. I live in a one bedroom condo right now. I will provide a safe and loving environment for your dog.
“My sweet, shy little pup loved Meri from the first moment they met (which is very unusual for my dog). Meri did such a great job taking care of Lucy, keeping me updated by sending me pictures, and making Lucy feel at home. Our flight was delayed, and Meri was very responsive and flexible to our changing travel plans which put me at ease in a stressful situation. I highly recommend Meri!”

“Arianna was fantastic with our dog! She took great care of him, made sure he got regular walks, and kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our vacation. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup. Reliable, communicative, and attentive—highly recommend!”

“Communication with Maria is amazing – she kept me updated and sent pictures throughout the stay. She and her family loved Margaux so much and took care of her so well. Highly recommended!”

“Lilly was fantastic! She was flexible. She was attentive. She was very communicative and I would highly recommend her to anybody looking to have their pup well taken care of.”

“Armanush was wonderful. She was very responsive and provided plenty of updates and pictures of the dogs. My flight was delayed and she was accommodating of a later pickup time which was much appreciated. Thank you!”

“Piero took great care of our two dogs during our two-week vacation! He provided photo and video updates and was flexible with pickup and drop-off times. Both dogs were happy and healthy at the end of their stay. We’d happily leave them with Piero again in the future!”

“Churro stayed with Viona and John for a week and had the best time. They have a big backyard where he got to run around and play, became best buddies with their Golden Retriever, Maxie, and also had so much fun with their kids. What we really appreciated was how comfortable they made us feel while we were away. They clearly know dogs and have a lot of experience, and they kept us updated every day with pictures and videos. Churro got lots of walks and attention. Honestly, he was spoiled in the best way. We could tell he was happy and well cared for the whole time. We’d definitely book with Viona and John again!”

Mahamat took excellent care of our dog. We left Harley with him for two weeks, and he was kind and flexible enough to extend the stay for an additional week when our plans changed. Throughout Harley’s stay, Mahamat sent us photos and updates almost every day, which gave us great peace of mind. He and his family created a warm, caring environment, and it truly felt like Harley was part of the family. We highly recommend him to anyone.

Diana and her family took wonderful care of our Goldendoodle for six days. It was our first time leaving him with a pet sitter, so we were quite nervous. From the moment we met Diana, her warm, friendly and caring personality immediately put us at ease. She kept us updated throughout his stay with lots of photos, videos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear that she cared for our dog as if he were her own. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend Diana to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

Meri is absolutely wonderful! She responds very quickly, is reliable, and loves dogs. My dog is very shy with most people, but she gets so excited every time she sees Meri, which says everything. It's such a relief knowing my dog is happy, comfortable, and so well cared for.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dogs received from Tim! From the very beginning, he was incredibly thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely caring. He kept me updated throughout the stay with plenty of pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind and made it clear my dog was happy and well cared for. It was obvious that he truly loves animals and treats them like they’re his own. I also had to change the times and days of booking and he was super flexible and accommodating. He is absolutely outstanding, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone they can completely trust with their pet!

Titus was wonderful with our older dog, Bilbo! He was communicative, and I can tell that he took the stay very seriously! He has two boys, who have been taught how to respectfully interact with dogs and Bilbo was very very well loved during his time. Will definitely look to Titus in the future for more stays!
I could tell my pups Kilo & Ruby were both completely content and at-ease with David & Allison! They sent lots of cute pictures and updates and were so attentive to their needs and routine. It was Ruby’s first time staying with a sitter since we adopted her, so I of course was a bit anxious about how she might be, but David & the family just have a lovely, calm energy that ensured everyone (myself included) had an easy and relaxing time! Plus a beautiful home and yard for the pups to run around in. Overall, 10/10 and will definitely be booking again next time we travel :)

Carlos and Travis took care care of my two boys over a weekend, and were very accommodating when I had a flight cancelations and had to extend another night. My small one had nervous stomach issues and they were communicative and took care of him. Thank you for the peace of mind and loving hands!

We had such a wonderful experience with Oyin Damola! From our very first communication, she was incredibly responsive, professional, and kind. She took the time to do a meet-and-greet beforehand, and she was so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating that I immediately felt comfortable leaving our dog in her care. Our dog had an amazing stay and was clearly well cared for and loved. Oyin was attentive, caring, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dog was in such good hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely continue using Oyin in the future. She was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
