“Gabriela was wonderful! This was our first time using Rover and she made us feel so comfortable. She sent us daily pictures and was kind when our older pup had an accident inside. Would absolutely (and will absolutely) use her again!”

“Nadia was a pleasure to work with, prompt responses, professional and courteous, sent pictures of our dog every day, we will definitely book with Nadia in the future!”

“I cannot recommend Tatiana enough! She took the time to learn about my dog’s personality and immediately made me feel like my dog would be in great hands. She sent regular updates and photos/videos that showed my pup was not only safe but genuinely happy and cared for. It’s easy to tell that she truly loves dogs and treats them like her own. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and kind who will treat your dog like family, Tatiana is the one. I will absolutely be booking again!”

“I don’t think we could have asked for a better person than Dana to give our 12 year old dog Maggie so much love, attention, exercise, and new experiences for the 5 days she (and Patrick) had her! She got to eat food out of puzzle dishes and got lots of frozen treats including yogurt which she loved! Lots of photos and updates every day were truly wonderful to see. Maggie didn’t beg for food during their meals, nor did she whine to get something like she does at home. Sorry Dana she whined some after we got home but not too bad. A million thanks to Dana and Patrick for being such great caregivers.”

“Chad and his wife were really professional and agreed to meet Vigo before taking care of him. They asked really good questions before his stay, which goes to show that they really care about your pet. When we had a really unexpected late arrival at the end of our trip, Chad was super flexible and communicative. A really great first stay!”

“Maria and Nicanor were awesome!! They were so nice to my pup, and sent multiple photos and videos each day I was away. I would 100% be happy to have Callie stay with them again.”

“Andy was super responsive and sent photos of our pup regularly. We knew he was in great hands. Andy was also very flexible when we experienced a flight delay that kept us from picking up our dog until hours after the scheduled time. I'd highly recommend Andy to anyone needing a short- or longer-term stay!”

“Dennis loved his time with the family and Larry the dog was the most gracious host! We got daily update photos and will definitely look to book again in the future. BIG FANS!”

“Diana did an incredible job taking care of Roxie! I was away on a long trip and I felt at ease knowing Roxie was in great hands. I received daily pictures and videos and Roxie looked so happy and comfortable. I highly recommend Diana and plan on using her again in the future!”

“Joseph and his wife are amazing. My pup has the absolute best time staying with them and playing with Odin (who btw is the sweetest dog). When I drop Chewie off for a long stay, I know he will be well taken care of, and loved like he is at home. What more could you ask for?”

“Brendan again proved a thoughtful and accommodating host to my pooch Edna, providing soft spots to snuggle in and tummy rubs on demand. Edna and I both have the utmost trust in Brendan and it's a wonderful thing!”

“Kelly was great to work with and took amazing care of our quirky guy, Stanley. Stanley is often wary of new people and he seemed to warm up quickly with Kelly. She was very conscientious of his needs, including giving him his anxiety meds. Kelly was also great at communicating and I love that she reached out with questions and kept us very updated on how and what he was doing, including sending lots of pics. We will definitely use Kelly again.”

“Maria was excellent! Kepler had a wonderful time! She was incredibly responsive and accommodating to our needs (and traffic mishaps). The meet and greet was thorough and put us at ease. She provided us with daily updates and pictures. Kepler loved all the attention, walks, and treats. Would definitely book with Maria again. Highly recommended.”

“Isai was great to work with for my dog. Just a short stay this time but he was easy to coordinate drop off and having a friend pick Watson up at the end. I felt that Watson was in good hands.”

“I had a wonderful experience boarding my dog, Hazel, with Bryn. At the meet and greet, Hazel obviously liked Bryn (which is not always the case when meeting new people) so I knew we were off to a great start. Bryn has a calm personality and definitely is knowledgeable about dogs. She has a lovely home and a great fenced in backyard where the dogs can play. Her dog, Kepler, is very sweet. Bryn sent pictures and updates during Hazel's stay and reported that she did very well. She followed my instructions as far as giving Hazel her medications. I'd happily recommend Bryn to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.”

“Had a great experience with Dave! Very friendly and accommodating. Flexible on drop off/pickup times. Has crates so we didn’t have to bring ours. Dogs came home happy and tired, which is exactly what we were looking for.”

“Andrea and Michael couldn’t have been sweeter to our little pup. They kept us up to date with pictures and gave our little guy his daily medications. We could tell that he enjoyed his time there immensely. We have used other sitters but have never been happier than we were with Andrea and Michael. We would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommend.”

“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

Yesterday was our first time having Tessie stay with Kelly. Five minutes after we left the house Kelly sent us a picture to show us how obviously comfortable Tessie was. She keeps in regular communication with with us and it was obvious from the picture she sent that Tessie was very happy there. We look forward to using her often.

Azucena was wonderful with my dog Willow. Before Willow boarded with her we set up a meet and greet where she asked very thoughtful and insightful questions to make sure she knew my pup's schedule, temperament, and needs. When Willow was with her, Azucena provided wonderful updates and pictures that made it clear that Willow was happy and well cared for.

Fiorela took care of our two large, energetic labrador retrievers for a long weekend. She doted on them and kept them plenty busy, with photos and updates every day. She even sent them home with some yummy homemade treats. We would definitely be happy to have her care for our pups again!

I have boarded my dog with Galen multiple times over the past 2 years. Galen is incredibly loving and gentle with my timid dog Maggie and I have noticed Maggie really coming out of her shell since staying with Galen. I take comfort that my dog is living her best life with Galen while I’m away and I cannot recommend Galen enough. 100/10. ❤️ P.S. Galen takes fantastic doggo pics too!

Sonia is an exceptional cat sitter who provides wonderful care for our beloved Luna-Belle. She is communicative, attentive, flexible, and, most importantly, has built a wonderful rapport with Luna, who clearly loves the time they spend together. Sonia has a fantastic selection of interactive pet toys that Luna thoroughly enjoys, as well as a lovely window seat where Luna can comfortably sit and bird-watch, one of her favorite activities. Overall, Sonia is extremely responsive and thoughtful. She asks the right questions to ensure that Luna’s care is tailored to her individual needs and preferences. It is evident that Sonia genuinely loves and cares for the animals she looks after, treating our fur babies with the same affection and attention that we do. We highly recommend Sonia’s cat-sitting services and would feel completely comfortable entrusting Luna to her care again.

I have tried a hand full of different daycares and dog sitters, but have not felt as relaxed and comfortable more than I am with Ming’s Place. Staff are attentive and show that they care for the job they do. I was kept updated with photos and it was relieving to know Freya (my very anxious Aussie) was in good hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
