Highly-rated overnight sitters - Wheaton
“Sonia was fantastic with Murray and was extremely warm and understanding throughout his stay. She also sent the best dog-sitting pictures of anyone we've booked with and it shows how much she cares.”

“My dog Tako was extremely well taken care of and I got frequent updates. Shanilka was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible as my travel plans changed due to the weather. I will absolutely be using her again if I ever need!”
“Cal & Kelly were so great with Mabel. I was impressed by how they managed the dynamics between the fellow boarding dogs and loved getting pics and videos every day. It was so nice to be able to enjoy our family vacation without worrying about our dog as it was very clear she was well cared for and happy. Thank you, Cal and Kelly!”

“Kelly and her family were absolutely amazing. She gave great updates for our pup and the backyard and walks we're great for her. The kids were friendly and kind to my dog and Kelly was a great host! Will definitely use her again next time!”

“Cheza loved her stay with Masha! She got to have her own mini vacation while we had ours. Masha was very communicative and kept in touch and sent pictures. And she was also helpful with navigating using Rover too. We will definitely be booking again the next time we need a sitter.”

“Diana and her family took wonderful care of our Gus and provided lots of regular updates during his stay. They treated him like their own and he was very relaxed and happy when we came home.”

“Cindy was awesome. She addressed the initial anxiety of Lightning , made sure he is comfortable, and sent pictures and videos . We will not hesitate having her board Lightning again.”

“I felt at ease the whole time I was away from my dog, I received photos and videos daily, which really made me feel comfortable with being away for so long. When I returned home my dog was calm and was clearly well taken care of.”

“We left Lucky, our 9-year-old shepherd-lab mix, with Christopher for a week. It was the first time we engaged Christopher. Lucky usually has some anxiety during dropoff and with men, but Christopher immediately sensed it and decided to take him for a walk before I left. I appreciated that a lot. On past occasions, the anxiety has often meant Lucky doesn't eat for 1-2 days, or has an upset stomach--none of that happened this time. We got pictures and videos every day, and Christopher was responsive throughout. We will definitely want to use his boarding services again for Lucky.”

“Alejandro took such great care of our old girl. We knew it was a perfect match the moment we walked in for the meet and greet. Our dog was so excited to meet Alejandro and his partner and got to exploring and cuddling immediately. She had no qualms about being dropped off for her staycation (it seemed like she couldn’t wait for us to leave). When we picked her up, it was clear that she missed her time with Alejandro.”

“This was the first time we used Rover and we couldn't have found a better dog sitter for our Peppi than Adva and her husband Steven. Peppi is a very shy dog and doesn't get along with strange people too easily, but we could see in her that she had really enjoyed her stay in Adva's home. The next stay with them is already booked!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Calvin and Vanessa! They took amazing care of our Shiba for over two weeks, and she got along so well with their two friendly dogs. We really appreciated their quick responses and frequent photo updates — it gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Before the longer stay, we did a one-night trial, which went well and made us feel confident about leaving our Shiba in their care. We’ll definitely be booking with them again!”

“Bianca was a wonderful sitter. I knew the moment I met her that my pooch was in good hands which put me at ease. My dog takes time to warm up to people but he was well acquainted with Bianca so quickly. She provided frequent updates and I could tell my dog felt comfortable with her in photos. When I picked my dog up he was crying when she left and was searching for her. I would absolutely recommend her to look after your pet.”

“Dana and Patrick were wonderful with Ollie once again. It’s been a great experience to travel knowing he’s in good hands and the updates make me feel reassured that he’s also having a good time while we are away. We will definitely book with them again in the future when we need care for our dog.”

“Khadija was very responsive and sweet with Max my puppy. She sent me a picture during the day she sat for him, which was really sweet as I was worried about him being good for her (he’s a four month old puppy). She was an amazing sitter and I’d love to book her again.”
“Aashna and Sidanth took excellent care of our dog. Communication was fantastic – they sent updates and photos twice a day. We felt very comfortable leaving him with them and would definitely rebook.”

“Andy boarded our dog (still a puppy at 6 months), and he did a great job. We were away and very busy. I cannot remember if I told him this or not, but the fact that he sent one note at the end of the day with pics and videos was the perfect level of communication. Andy was flexible about a pickup time, which we appreciated.”

“Ashley did an amazing job caring for our cat. She provided detailed daily updates and pictures of our cat during her visits. We appreciated the consistent communication and felt she was very reliable. Ashley was also flexible with scheduling - we had to shorten our trip at the beginning and she was accommodating and came instead an extra time throughout the time we were gone. We can tell she had a gentle and caring approach with our cat, and understood what the cat needed. We’re grateful for it all!”

“I was very nervous to leave my cats at home for 2 weeks while on vacation, but Teffni made me feel so much better with how well she took care of them! She played with them every day, sent pictures, gave medicine, and even vacuumed the litter. She was great!”

“Michael is, as always, an excellent caretaker of our cats and our plants. On this last assignment for us, he was able to add an extra day that we had forgotten to schedule, for which we are extremely grateful. We’re happy to have him as our pet sitter anytime he’s willing to help us, and we highly recommend him to anyone else who needs excellent pet service!”

“Natalia is always great with our cat. Just before e elect for vacation he started showing signs of illness. Natalia went above and beyond to make him a bland diet and talk to the Rover vet. We appreciate her help and genuine care for our cat and our home.”

“Khadija was great! Super flexible, quick response time, and kept me updated throughout my time away. This was my first time leaving my cat for an extended period of time and I would love to have Khadija as a sitter again in the future!”

“Giovanna was amazing!! Drako loved being visited by her, she was very communicative with us and made sure we got pictures and updates on a visit baisis! We felt so happy and comfortable that our dog was being taken care by her! Definitely would recommend her with anyone that needs his/her dog taking care of! We would definitely will be thinking of her if we need someone to take care of our dog! Thanks Giovanna!!”

“Anton was great with my two kitties. Hey played with them everyday and sent lots of pictures. It was really easy to communicate with him all week. I would definitely use him again. One of our cats is usually shy, but after the first day we saw pictures of the cat hanging out with Anton.”

“Julianna is absolutely incredible! It has been a while since we saw such a responsible, reliable and punctual pet sitter. I’ve been struggling to trust someone with my fur babies but Julianna made it so easy! Most pet sitters just come over, give the food and that’s it. But Julianna stayed a while to play with our very active kittens! She’s truly amazing!! Cannot wait to book her for our next trip!”

“Ambar was amazing!! She was very responsive and attentive to our two kitties and did an excellent job keeping them fed, updating with anything she needed, and giving them affection they needed while I was away. She even went above and beyond to fix our litter robot when it wasn't functioning properly! Very highly recommend her :)”

“Cindy is AMAZING! She took such amazing care of my boys, and I will continue to book with her when I go out of town. She is someone who you can trust and my cats warmed up to her very quick!”

“Rebecca did great with our cats! She was so patient and kind with our shy kitty who also needs medicine, and was able to troubleshoot administration when things didn't go exactly to plan. Our girls will be excited to see her again in the future ❤️”

About: I’ve helped walk and play with dogs at a local dog shelter and also watch my friend’s dogs, including walking and sitting two dogs at a time. I work remote, Tuesday to Friday, and my job isn’t very busy so I have plenty of time on my hands to walk dogs anytime time during the weekdays. Weekends are also flexible too. When I care for dogs in my friend’s homes, they have fenced in backyards for them to run around in but I also walk them in the neighborhood and on trails.

“Drew is just downright amazing! Braved the winter storm to take care of our boys and went above and beyond as a sitter. Extremely responsive and friendly to us and the cats. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.”

“Aliyah went above and beyond in taking care of my cats. My youngest fur baby instantly warmed up to her, which is quite rare! Aliyah sent me lots of photos while I was away, easing my separation anxiety. Being away from my cats is never easy, but knowing they were in such great care with Aliyah made it so much better.”

“Mary went above and beyond for caring for my three cats. I had booked four visits for my cats. Unfortunately, there was a serious issue in my apartment building during that time. Residents and their pets needed to be evacuated. Mary ended up having to bring my cats to a boarding facility. She put them all in their crates, walked up and down eight flights of stairs in my building, put them in her car, drove them, and then admitted them to the chosen boarding facility. Through it all, Mary maintained constant communication and care regarding the well being of my cats. I would highly recommend Mary as a petsitter for your pets!! I don't know what I would have done without her help. Thank you, again, Mary!! 💗💗💗”

About: You name it, I probably have lovingly done it. From medical care, giving shots, playing, training, elder pet care, cleaning ears, wiping paws, giving baths, walking and playing with super high energy pets, etc., I can handle it. I specialize in anxious dogs. I get that there is a formula for making them feel safe and I can follow it to a T, plus I have a lot of tools and tricks. I also specialize in elder care of pets. Beyond medical needs which I am comfortable doing, I also have tons of ways of engaging elders pets that can no longer play nor walk like they used. I am loving, lead with empathy, and NEVER strike nor yell at a pet. That should go without saying, but I like to be very clear. I can assert leadership for pets that need it. I can handle any size pet and I get that each pet has their own needs, so don't worry if your dog has a long list of things they cannot do or a list of needs. I get it! I am currently working part time from home and my breaks and hours are flexible, so I am always available. Very occasionally I work outside the home for no more than 5 hours at a time. I care for pets in my home and at their home as well. I have a big back yard that is fenced in on all sides. I go outside with the pets most of the time and engage and play with them. I don't just let them out. There are 2 people parks near my home (one well shaded and great for hot summer days) that are great for walking to. I find dogs like to people watching too. I think giving pups time to sniffy snoop around is important. I even have a backpack with a mesh screen "window" for a cat as some cats love walks. In your home, I follow their routine to give them a sense of security, play, train, and introduce new toys and tricks if your pup is up for that. With cats I can read their cute little faces pretty well and give them what they want: play, pets, scratches, and/or, for example, introduce them to new smells to engage their minds.

About: 🐶 Dog Care Looking for a relaxing and stress-free home for your furbaby while you're away? Your dog will be well cared for by me and my partner and have a playmate, Channing, a friendly and mellow rescue dog. As a regular Rover user, we believe in providing high-quality and individual care for our dog guests. We adjust the level of care and activities depending on the dog’s health and owner’s preferences. Having my own senior dog who’s also blind, I have personal experience caring for fragile and older pups. 🏡 Home and Neighborhood Currently, I work full-time from home most of the week and I’m home most weekends. Our dog guests are allowed on the couch and bed, unless the owner prefers otherwise. We live in a walkable neighborhood with many tree-lined walking paths, bushes, parks and other friendly dogs and people. 📸 📱Daily Pictures and Updates We are very communicative and make sure owners get at least 3 updates with pictures and/or videos each day. 🦮 🐾 Walks Your dog will enjoy at least three 15-20 minute walks (usually at a casual pace and sniffing around the neighborhood) and ALWAYS leashed on our walks, usually using my own durable leash (the same rope material that rock climbers use). Their safety is my highest priority. 🧍🏽🐕 Meet and Greets Highly recommended for first-time guests. This allows the dogs to meet and I can get a good sense of your dog’s needs and how to best care for them. The meeting place is at a small park/playground in our neighborhood. 🗓️ 🚘 Drop Off and Pick Up Times *Weekdays: flexible, I’ll just need to know in advance to plan my schedule. *Weekends: Flexibility between 8am-7pm with advance notice. I work from home most of the week and am home most weekends, so your dog won’t be home alone too long but s/he should be comfortable to stay at home with Channing for a few hours. We go outside for 3 (sometimes more) walks each day usually at 7am, 12pm, 5pm and around 10pm. Your pup will have a great stay with us and Channing! Feel free to send us any questions! 💊 Medical Care We have experience administering medication to dogs, including oral and eyedrops (our dog is on several medications). For older and/or blind dogs, I carry them and use a baby gate as needed.
“Kelly was flexible and willing to come an hour earlier than originally scheduled when we had to change our plans at the last minute. She responds instantly to messages in the Rover app and sent us a bunch of pictures of our doggies.”

“We as Valerie's owners added a complicated wrinkle -- I am traveling and have the Rover.com account, and my daughters were on the ground doing the drop off and pick up. Ana did not blink an eye over our logisitcal wrinkle. She was so easy to work with. My daughter said Ana was extremely welcoming and clearly a dog person, so Valerie was so excited to be at her place. We would definitely book with Ana again.”

“My dog can be fear reactive when meeting new people but this was not the case at our meet and greet with Joann - Hazel was very comfortable with her, and even put her paws on Joann in a manner that suggested to me she really liked her. When I dropped her off for day care I watched as Hazel sidled over to her and stayed calmly at her side as I departed. Joann’s home is spacious and clean, and her fenced in backyard is a great feature. Hazel seemed to truly enjoy her time with Joann and we will certainly return for future care needs.”

“Cal is INCREDIBLE! Our dog is very anxious and he immediately understood her and provided her with such warmth and support. We trust him and he is great with dogs. Also, great with communication and sends us the cutest pictures of our girl having a good time! We are so grateful”

About: I have been an animal lover since the beginning of time! I have always loved and respected animals and nature. It’s always been a culture in our home growing up. As an adult, I had a couple corporate jobs, but there was always something missing. I found myself being my happiest self whenever I was with my pets or taking care of other animals. Thankfully during Covid I was laid off, and left to find my REAL passion in life. I decided I wanted to work with animals full time, and so I did! I have never been happier! Working with animals has been my favorite job and I will never want to not work with pets. I have experience working with dozens of different breeds, & ages of cats and dogs. I am knowledgeable in pet safety and dog cpr. I have thousands of hours of training experience working with different pets before I became a full time pet nanny! This is not just a “job” for me, this is my passion, I enjoy being with pets and animals, I enjoy being a pet caretaker. I am a full time Professional Pet Nanny and I have some room for a couple new clients! I am available everyday for overnight boarding in my home 🩷 Pets in my care become my family while the owners are away. I have dedicated my home to being a pet friendly place. We also have nice trails and nature nearby I would love to take your pet to! I am going to treat your pet just like I would mines. If they make a mess on the floor, I’ll take care of it. If they want to snuggle, I'll cuddle and pet them with no doubt. If I'm going over your home to walk your dog and see your Amazon package on the doorsteps, I’ll bring it inside! And best of all, your pet will be in the best care possible. You will love my daily pics and summaries, providing you with a daily peace as you enjoy your vacay! I also have all the supplies, beds, bowls, toys etc

“Gio was an excellent dog walker. She helped me when my current dog walker could not continue walking buddy. She reported all the details of the visit efficiently and gave us peace of mind. She was informative and responsible. This was my first time using rover and I had a great experience thanks to Gio. She has a true love for dogs and what she does. I will definitely work with her in the future.”

“Teffni is so sweet and communicative, and she had to deal with a lot: my dog not wanting to walk in the rain and the front desk attendant giving her a hard time. Really appreciated her help.”

“I’m so glad I found Michael to help take care of my new puppy. He’s patient (essential with a puppy!!), communicative, and has been understanding with last minute schedule changes and adjustments. And he leaves a detailed notecard and photo after every visit which I appreciate!”

“Azucena was amazing with our Yorkie Amelia!!!! She was very kind and had a lot of patience with her as she is a little unsure around strangers. She took her for walkies and let her sniff to her hearts desire, gave her medication, wiped her paws to remove the harsh snow melt, and was excellent at keeping us updated. We are so glad we found her!!!!”

About: Hello! My name is Sylvia. I have several years of experience pet sitting dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits, although I’m open to all kinds of animals. Since my family does not currently have an animal to keep us company, I jump at every opportunity to walk, feed, and spend time with any pet. I am currently home for the summer, so I’ll have plenty of time to play! I am also babysitting on the side, but my hours are very flexible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize making sure the dogs feel safe and comfortable with plenty of attention and exercise while the owners are away. I understand every pet has unique habits and personality, so I try to stick to the routine they know.

“Anton has been walking our Pittie, Mihoshi, for months, and he is an excellent walker!! He’s very attentive to our pup’s behavior and communicates thoroughly. If we ever need to make adjustments, he is flexible. If he has upcoming plans, he informs us weeks in advance so we can work out the schedule together. I couldn’t recommend him more if you’re looking for a walker or sitter for your furry friend. :)”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angela! I booked her last minute on a Friday because my cousin’s family and I were going away to a wedding, and we needed urgent care for our pets. She responded so quickly, was incredibly understanding of the situation, and immediately put my mind at ease. Throughout the weekend she sent constant updates and pictures, which meant the world to us. She even stepped in to care for another pet I added last minute—without hesitation—and did it all with such care and professionalism. Truly, I could not have asked for anyone better.

“Aashna and Sidanth took excellent care of our dog. Communication was fantastic – they sent updates and photos twice a day. We felt very comfortable leaving him with them and would definitely rebook.”

“Julijai & Alejandra & Eduardo & Luis were lovely to work with. They watched our little lady when we were on a two week vacation and communicated every day with updates. It was obvious that they understood her needs quickly and tailored to her quirks and personality. I’m very pleased and our pup made a new friend! We’ll absolutely book with them again and highly recommend!”

“Azucena was an outstanding caretaker for our 10 year old pup. She took her on multiple walks a day and sent photos throughout her stay. It was clear that Azucena made Brooklyn feel safe and comfortable. Will definitely use her services again!”

“We had a wonderful experience boarding our cat and dog with Derek. We needed a sitter last minute and he responded right away and was an absolute life saver. We got updates with pictures and videos daily and both Tiara and Coco looked so happy and well cared for. I miscalculated the date of our return by a day and Derek promptly extended the booking and made everything so stress free and seamless!”

“I had a wonderful experience boarding my dog, Hazel, with Bryn. At the meet and greet, Hazel obviously liked Bryn (which is not always the case when meeting new people) so I knew we were off to a great start. Bryn has a calm personality and definitely is knowledgeable about dogs. She has a lovely home and a great fenced in backyard where the dogs can play. Her dog, Kepler, is very sweet. Bryn sent pictures and updates during Hazel's stay and reported that she did very well. She followed my instructions as far as giving Hazel her medications. I'd happily recommend Bryn to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.”

“What’ a wonderful experience. Oreo had a great time and was treated like a prince. Not sure he wanted to come home!! :) really appreciated all the communication and care. Will definitely rebook in the future.”

“I could not have been more pleased with Boxer’s stay with John. He has a dog, and we walked them together before our actual sitting dates, just to make sure they got along. They did. John was kind and welcoming, provided daily (and encouraging) reports, and lots of pics. The best of all: I didn’t worry about Boxer’s safety or well-being AT ALL. I’d use John again in a heartbeat!”

“Joseph and his wife took amazing care of Kashmere over night. They sent updates through out the entire day/ night with pictures and videos to make sure we knew he was doing ok. Also kept him on schedule for us so there were no issues for us when we got him back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Christian truly saved the day for me during a family emergency. She responded quickly, was very flexible, and took such good care of Caia. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Caia was with someone so kind and reliable. I’m very grateful and would absolutely trust her again.”

“First experience for our senior dog boarding away from home. Brittany and her family were very kind and thoughtful helping our rather anxious dog settle in to a new situation. Highly recommend.”
