“Diana and her family were amazing! This was our first time leaving our puppy with a sitter from Rover and couldn’t have asked for a sweeter experience. She sent several updates with lots of photos of our puppy playing with her kids, on walks, and even learning new tricks. So adorable… and comforting! Will definitely book with Diana again!”

“Thomas was an absolutely amazing and wonderful sitter for our little pup. We’re also so worried about leaving her with a sitter because she suffers from horrible anxiety and is so fearful of a lot of things (new people included), but from all the pictures that Thomas had sent us, it seemed like our little pup was able to quickly make a home and feel at peace for the duration of the sit. Besides being a good sitter for our fearful pup, Thomas was also very flexible and responsive. We had booked him so last minute, and we couldn’t get home in time due to the recent snow storm. As anxious as we were about these problems, Thomas was great and alleviated a lot of our stress by accepting and kindly taking care of our pup for even longer than intended. Highly recommend! And we hope to book him again sometime in the future!”
“Cindy was awesome. She addressed the initial anxiety of Lightning , made sure he is comfortable, and sent pictures and videos . We will not hesitate having her board Lightning again.”

About: I have had many dogs since I was a kid. My whole family have them as family members. I adopted Colby, a mini poodle, 13 years ago and he recently passed on Mar 7, 2026 due to oral cancer one month before he turned 14 yr-old. I will board ONE NON-SHEDDING dog at a time so I can spend quality time with that dog ☺️ I would love help dog owners to walk, play, and love their dogs while they cannot and get some dog love for myself. I miss my dog tremendously so I am not ready to have another. Let me take care and play with your dogs and make them happy ☺️ I work full-time remotely. I can customize my schedule to fit your needs as long as I am given a notice to adjust (I set my work schedule a week in advanced every monday). I love taking a long walk when the weather permit. 😁 Whatever your dog accustomed to, I can adjust. I live in a one bedroom condo right now. I will provide a safe and loving environment for your dog.
“Marylee did a great job of sending pics of my pup while he enjoyed the deck and some quality window watching. She wrote us a wonderful note detailing the weekend. I could tell he was very happy with his “getaway” outside of the city! :) We will definitely be booking with Marylee again!”

“Our 3 1/2 year old husky, Skye, had a great first stay with Carrie and her family. He was welcomed so warmly to the family and made himself right at home. He came home calm, happy and tired - all signs of time well spent! And Fozzie is a wonderful playmate and sweet boy!! Overall, a great experience for our family.”

“Melissa took excellent care of our Teddy! Will definitely use her again for future bookings. Constant updates and photos showed just how much she cares and truly appreciate how Teddy was taken care of!”

“Jessica was wonderful with Bruno. He was very excited coming into her home. She sent me pictures throughout the time he spent with her. Those pictures were very much appreciated. She was very complimentary of Bruno.”

“I cannot thank Crystal enough for the excellent care and compassion she provided for my 18-month-old dog, Mr. Biggs, during his first-ever overnight stay away from me. I was just as anxious as he was, but she went above and beyond to ensure we both felt comfortable. He was squirming and crying when I dropped him off, but she quickly managed to calm him down after I left. Throughout the stay, she sent me pictures and videos, which really helped put my mind at ease. My dog usually refuses to eat when I’m not around, but she even got him to eat the next day! This was an amazing experience for both of us, and I’ve already booked his next stay. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Sriju was personable and made me and most importantly, my dog feel comfortable. I could tell he enjoyed being with her. Sriju was amenable to my instructions and gave my dog medicine without concerns. She sent me pictures daily and was approachable and friendly. A friend had recommended her and Sriju was fantastic. She even let my dog sleep with her; I think he behaved better than me. I highly recommend Sriju and thank her for making us feel at peace so we could enjoy our vacation!”

“Bria was AMAZING!!! It was my puppies first time staying away from home and not only did she create a safe environment but he had a chance to engage with other dogs. Highly recommend Bria and her services.”

“As always, Arlo had a great time at Maria and Fernando’s. They have a great play area for the dogs, keep the photos coming, and Arlo always comes home happy and a little tired.”

“I had a wonderful experience boarding my dog, Hazel, with Bryn. At the meet and greet, Hazel obviously liked Bryn (which is not always the case when meeting new people) so I knew we were off to a great start. Bryn has a calm personality and definitely is knowledgeable about dogs. She has a lovely home and a great fenced in backyard where the dogs can play. Her dog, Kepler, is very sweet. Bryn sent pictures and updates during Hazel's stay and reported that she did very well. She followed my instructions as far as giving Hazel her medications. I'd happily recommend Bryn to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.”

“Christian was so great with Itty! She sent me pictures everyday of them out on walks and Itty curled up in the house. I would definitely recommend booking with her!”

“Lauren and her "assistant Zoe" (her own dog) looked after Bella very well. The dogs had supervised playtime in the enclosed park, rather like a village green, and had ample time to chill and hang out together. Bella was very happy to stay with Lauren, and the whole experience was positive. Lauren is a very competent and caring boarder. I heartily recommend her!”

“Bianca was a wonderful sitter. I knew the moment I met her that my pooch was in good hands which put me at ease. My dog takes time to warm up to people but he was well acquainted with Bianca so quickly. She provided frequent updates and I could tell my dog felt comfortable with her in photos. When I picked my dog up he was crying when she left and was searching for her. I would absolutely recommend her to look after your pet.”

“We are so grateful to Alex and Daniel for all they do — they are such wonderful people and we always arrive home to find a well-loved, bright-eyed, very happy and healthy pup! So lucky to be your neighbors — thank you!!”

“We love Roseline and Zeus! Our dog was in such good company with Roseline’s own pup, and was so spoiled by Roseline! We got photo and video updates every day, and appreciated Roseline’s patience with our dog’s quirks and energy.”

“Kelly and her husband were WONDERFUL with our mini-doodle, Daisy, while we were away! We received many photos and videos to show the variety of activities Daisy was enjoying. When we had a flight delay, Kelly was so flexible and helpful! We can tell Daisy developed a loving bond with Kelly and John. We will definitely be booking with Kelly again knowing Daisy is in excellent care with her and her husband!”

Pixie always loves her stay with Jeannie! Pixie recently started taking daily medications, and Jeannie is always very accommodating to Pixie’s every need. It provides great peace of mind to know she is safe and well-cared for when I have to travel. Highly recommend!

This was the first time leaving our 3 dogs (2 labs and a Golden Retriever) with anyone. Not everyone can manage 3 large dogs. I was so anxious but Jaemin and his wife were wonderful. The dogs were clearly well cared for and seemed quite content in all of the photos and videos Jaemin sent. Jaemin was very responsive to texts as well. I am grateful to have found Jaemin and his wife and I highly recommend them.

Our 1-year-old pup Boomer had an amazing stay with Lauren. She kept him happy, active, and well cared for the entire time. He got to enjoy lick mats, a 2-mile walk, several play sessions, and lots of playtime with other pups which was perfect for burning off his energy. He does have a bit of separation anxiety and I was nervous about his first Rover stay, but it is clear he was comfortable, entertained, and treated like one of her own. She sent daily updates with lots of pics and was very responsive. I really appreciated the attention and care Lauren gave him, and I would absolutely trust her with him again. Highly recommend!

Melissa was a wonderful host for our dog over the long weekend! The photos and updates Melissa provided were great to let us know our dog was getting lots of walks and snuggles (her two favorite things). Melissa was very flexible about coordinating a drop off and pick up time.

It was our first time leaving our dear fur baby behind for a family overseas trip. It was nerve-wrecking not knowing what to do. We found Rover app and through that a very caring, dedicated sitter, Nuria. We received daily pictures and updates, which instantly put us at ease. Nuria even knitted a beautiful sweater for our beloved. We will definitely use her service again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
