Availability
I am currently a college student and work from home most days of the week. Since most of my work is to be completed at home, I can spend all day with your pet! I have plenty of time for walks and play times during study breaks and can let them outside in the fenced backyard for potty breaks whenever they need.

I have a large, fenced-in front and back yard with 3 miles of public wooded trails connecting to my neighborhood, as well as two miles of sidewalk inside my neighborhood for walks. I am able to do as long or short of a walk as your dog needs. My 3 year old cattle dog, Zoe, loves to play and is very friendly with all other dogs and cats. Zoe is with me most of the time whereas my cats will come and go around the house (and are kept separate from visiting dogs). I will shape my day around caring for your pet so they get as much activity and attention as they need!

Information Lauren C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or dietary restrictions as well as behavioral quirks, such as resource guarding or barrier reactivity - I can definitely work with dogs of all kinds, it is just helpful to know ahead of time! Please also let me know if your dog is known to not get along with cats or other dogs. I have dog gates in the house to keep visiting dogs near me and away from the areas that my cats like to spend their time. While it is not necessary for visiting dogs to be familiar with cats, visiting pups must be dog friendly!!
A typical day
I love to take Zoe for a long walk on our wooded trails, play in the fenced in yard, or walk in the neighborhood. There are many other dogs in the neighborhood who love to play in the fenced-in common area of the neighborhood so playful pups can have plenty of play mates.

Pet care experience
I’ve always been an animal person and have helped care for my family’s dogs and cats for the last 16 years in addition to working in animal care for the last 2 years. I have experience working in a dog boarding facility and have volunteered to foster 5 puppies over the last year until they each were adopted by a loving family. I adopted my own cattle dog mix 3 years ago at 4 months old and worked with a trainer for over one year to train her as my service dog.

Reviews

Our 1-year-old pup Boomer had an amazing stay with Lauren. She kept him happy, active, and well cared for the entire time. He got to enjoy lick mats, a 2-mile walk, several play sessions, and lots of playtime with other pups which was perfect for burning off his energy. He does have a bit of separation anxiety and I was nervous about his first Rover stay, but it is clear he was comfortable, entertained, and treated like one of her own. She sent daily updates with lots of pics and was very responsive. I really appreciated the attention and care Lauren gave him, and I would absolutely trust her with him again. Highly recommend!

Lauren and her "assistant Zoe" (her own dog) looked after Bella very well. The dogs had supervised playtime in the enclosed park, rather like a village green, and had ample time to chill and hang out together. Bella was very happy to stay with Lauren, and the whole experience was positive. Lauren is a very competent and caring boarder. I heartily recommend her!

Another great stay with Lauren! Our two dogs came home happy and exhausted (in a good way). Lauren always takes great care of them!

Our two labs had another amazing stay with Lauren. Thanks, Lauren!
