“Jonathan was wonderful with Teddy! You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure Teddy had a great walk and was comfortable along the way. He even brought a water cup for him, which was such a thoughtful touch. Jonathan was on time, dependable, and his communication was excellent. Teddy was in great hands, and I’d absolutely recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for someone caring and reliable!”

About: Hi! I’ve been walking dogs since birth—tiny, medium, big, fluffy, goofy, you name it! I absolutely love getting to know every pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re in my care. I’m a huge cat lover too (I have one of my own! 🐱), so whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in, playtime, or just some extra cuddles, I’m here to treat them like family. I currently work hybrid and am full available everyday but Tuesdays and Thursdays to help you and your family out with your pets whenever you need. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment and provide a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of love and attention. I’ll make sure your pet gets regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and follows their normal feeding routine. I treat every pet like family!

“Jason was great! He took care of our animals while we were out of town. Quickly responded to texts, and sent photos of our animals when he was with them. Greatly appreciated Jason’s high quality service!”

“Evelyn showed up on time, paid close attention to the directions I gave her (particularly critical given that I wanted the dog off-leash for much of the time), and generally did a great job.”

“Our dogs love Helena! She is very kind, caring, and punctual. Our dogs loves Helena’s warm personality and they greet her with lots of love. Our little cavapoo Whitney is typically fearful and a little anxious at times. Whitney has quickly warmed up to Helena and not as anxious doing the transfer of leash at the door. Thank you so much Helena for your love, care and patience you give our fur babies.”

“Melissa was absolutely amazing! Despite the challenge of my last-minute request, Melissa graciously accepted my booking, demonstrating incredible flexibility and understanding of my urgent need. From the outset, Melissa was incredibly professional and reassuring, making it clear that my dog was in safe and capable hands. What stood out to me was the level of communication throughout the entire process. Melissa made sure to keep me informed with regular updates, including photos and messages, which provided me with great peace of mind knowing my pups were enjoying their time out and about. I absolutely recommend Melissa 1000%!”

“Malek is a dog whisperer! He was wonderful with our Australian shepherd puppy - who has a lot of energy and love to give! Malek took her on some great walks, and she was actually tired after! Thank you so much, Malek!”

About: I have taken care of dogs (during the day and overnight stays) ranging from 6 months to over two years. In addition to my pet sitting experiences, I have volunteered at two humane societies and specialized with the dogs. Before interacting with the dogs at the humane societies, I completed 22.5 hours of formal training, background security checks, and the Fear Free Shelter Program Core Modules. My responsibilities as a volunteer were canine enrichment activities (including making toys and interactions with dogs), recording behavioral observations, and canine handling onsite and offsite. I also enjoy running, so if your dog is up for that, they are more than welcome to join! I frequent run clubs with dogs because I love being around them and I don't have the finances to take care of my own right now (I am a graduate student). I just graduated from W&M with my Master’s in Science. I am currently job searching so my schedule is very open and flexible. Check my calendar to see when I’m can house/pet sit! At this time, I am only caring for pets in their homes. I am renting my current residence, so I cannot care for pets in my own home.

“Shreejaya is incredibly kind and helpful with walking our dog and checking in on our cat. She is just the best and we really appreciate her! Highly recommend if you’re looking for pet sitting, dog walking, etc.”

About: Caring for animals has always been at the center of my life. My dog Milo and I grew together since childhood. We both learned from each other about patience, gentleness, and attention. I learned that every pet deserves these three points. He was my best friend for 13 years. I’ve cared for senior and special-needs dogs, administered medications, assisted with grooming, and handled all kinds of behaviors with positive reinforcement. Whether helping a nervous pet relax or keeping energetic dogs engaged, I focus on making every moment safe, fun, and meaningful. I’ve worked professionally with Wag!, completing over 250 walks with 5-star reviews among regular clients. I bring the same dedication to every pet I care for on Rover — giving them full attention, noticing the little details, and treating them like family. I’m fully available, happy to extend walks if your dog needs extra exercise, and I love engaging through fetch, tug, and calm companionship. Being part of the Rover community allows me to combine lifelong love for animals with hands-on care. I take pride in creating a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for every pet I meet! If you do let me be a good buddy with your best friend, I won’t ruin that trust. About Me: Favorite movies/TV/books 🎬 - Homeward Bound, Air Bud, Shiloh, A Dog’s Journey, The Secret Life of Pets, Scooby-Doo, Bolt, The Call of the Wild, Superman, Batman Hobbies 🎨🎸- Skiing, Hiking, Photography, Tennis, music Pet care is my primary focus, and I maintain a flexible, open schedule that allows me to give pets consistent, attentive care throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate a wide range of needs, including last-minute requests and extended stays, depending on availability. I don’t overbook or divide my attention, which helps ensure pets receive the calm, dependable care they deserve. Reliability is extremely important to me. I have a 100% acceptance rate and zero no-shows, and when I commit to caring for your pet, you can trust that I will be present, prepared, and fully attentive. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I offer a calm, secure, and pet-friendly environment where animals are always supervised and treated like family. I live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with quick access to grassy areas for walks and potty breaks, along with a balcony for fresh air and relaxation. I also have access to fully fenced yards and other open spaces, which is perfect for dogs who enjoy extra space to explore and play safely. My home is cozy and welcoming, with comfortable couches and beds where pets are encouraged to settle in and feel at ease. I take pride in creating a warm, stress-free environment — especially for pets (and pet parents) who may be new to Rover. My goal is to make your pet feel right at home while giving you complete peace of mind.

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a kid, and as soon as I was able to, started walking dogs in my neighborhood in middle school. My family ended up owning 4 dogs at one point and I’ve been one of their primary caregivers for the past 10 years! Between jobs at the moment, so I’m available any night for dog-sitting. I’m also able to pop in to walk dogs throughout the day, as my days are mostly free. I can prepare food, get fresh water, give medications, brush teeth if needed. Happy to follow any particular instructions needed for your pet to keep them happy, calm, and healthy!
“This was our first time leaving our dog alone and had to rely that Chris would come early in the morning and in the evening for five days - and he did with out fail. He was loving towards our dog and made sure he ate well, his eyes were cleaned and he got a nice walk and play.”
“Denisse has been fantastic with our older dog! Very responsive and super accommodating. Our 50lb dog needs to be carried up/down the stairs and she handles that without issue and provides plenty of pictures, updates, and even gives our dog cookies.”
“Oyindamola was so sweet and caring to my Cali! She sent me so many videos and kept me updated on all the activities they did! Really happy with her and would 100% book her again! Thank you for the love and dedication ❤️”

“Marissa was super attentive and responsive to Valerie's needs (springer spaniel puppy). My husband commented that she was confident and in charge, but super nice and connected with our pup right away. Marissa was very responsive -- I had to book sort of last minute, and she responded right away and took on three walks. She was easy to converse with/contact through the Rover platform.”

“Alaina is great! She always responds in a timely manner, and is communicative when taking care of our dog. Our dog, who can be wary of some, always seems to be happy to see Alaina as well as after their walks together and she is always sure to make sure he has water available after their walks. When in need of someone to walk our pup, Alaina will always be a first choice for us!”

Christopher has been delightful. Just three walks so far, but we and our dog Bertie are looking forward to many more. Christopher listened attentively to our information about Bertie and asked insightful questions. Already Bertie is excited when Christopher arrives, and panting happily when they return.

My pup Brandice is sometimes a little hesitant around new people but during the meet and greet with Kayla she ran right up to her for pets. Kayla's experience with reactive dogs put me at ease knowing she would be able to handle some of Brandice's quirks. I appreciated the updates and photos that were sent after each walk. I would totally recommend her to anyone in the area for drop-in's and walks and will definitely book again in the future!

Naomi did a fantastic job taking great care of our three rambunctious dogs while we were away on vacation. Walking them twice daily, sending photos on daily walks, and checking in. It was a relief to see them so happy and well cared for while we were away. Naomi was very kind and gentle with our dogs even though they have a tendency to pull and she kept us updated thru text messages. Since we arrived back home our dogs have been sitting in the window looking for Naomi most especially around the normal times she would arrive. I would not hesitate to have Naomi care for our pups again. Very consistent and reliable, Thank you Naomi for your great care and kindness!

Melissa was an amazing dog walker! She was reliable, punctual, and genuinely cared about our dog. Communication was excellent, and she always kept us updated, which gave us complete peace of mind. Our dog was excited to see her and came home happy after walk. We truly appreciate all the care and attention she gave him. I highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and caring dog walker!

She truly saved the day! We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house, and she was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the whole situation. She took amazing care of Bella, followed all of our instructions, and made a stressful day so much easier. We’re so grateful for her kindness and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Cannot possibly overstate how wonderful Bianca was to us and Kona. We had to adjust days and times twice and she adjusted in the app and was extremely malleable, assertive and professional about everything. We added extra walks before leaving town and she was able to accommodate. We never waited on a response, she was always present when we needed to communicate. Bianca exudes trust, efficiency and professionalism - an extremely kind, gentle but assertive presence. Kona is pretty big/strong and sometimes difficult, reactive to other dogs and we were very anxious using rover walking services for the very first time - she provided the ease of mind we so desperately needed. Incredibly detailed feedback and tracking of every single walk, pee, etc… multiple pictures. Whenever we leave town and need help with Kona, we will be crossing our fingers that Bianca is available.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
