Safety and trust are always my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. I take the time to get to know each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs so they feel comfortable and secure. In my home, I make sure the environment is safe, pet-friendly, and full of love—just like it is for my own dog. When I’m in a client’s home, I always respect their space and follow instructions closely to keep things consistent and stress-free for their pet. I believe that building trust with both pets and their parents is the key to great care, and I treat every animal as if they were my own family.

To give your pet the best care, I like to know a few important details ahead of time: • Daily routine – when they usually eat, go out, and rest. • Activity level – how much exercise they need and what kind of play they enjoy. • Training cues – commands they know or are working on, and how you’d like me to reinforce them. • Health needs – any medications, allergies, or special care instructions. • Comfort & quirks – things they love (like belly rubs or favorite toys) and things that might make them nervous or uncomfortable. Having this information helps me keep their day as normal and stress-free as possible, while giving them the same love and care you do.
A typical day
A typical day with me always includes plenty of fresh air and fun! I love taking dogs for walks where we can explore the neighborhood together and let them take their time checking out all the interesting smells. I believe walks aren’t just about exercise—they’re about giving dogs the chance to enjoy the world around them. Depending on your pup’s energy level, we’ll play, practice some basic training, or just relax and enjoy some cuddle time. My goal is always to make sure your dog feels happy, comfortable, and loved while we spend time together.

I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for dogs and cats has always been a natural part of my life. I grew up with both, and over the years, I’ve gained plenty of hands-on experience meeting their unique needs and personalities. I also really enjoy working on basic training with dogs and helping them learn good habits in a positive, patient way. I currently have a sweet dog who has been with me for 6 years, and she’s truly part of my family! I couldn’t imagine life without her. Because of my lifelong love for animals, I treat every pet I care for like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.

I've only ever used friends and family to watch my pets so was a little nervous about the idea of booking a stranger but Jana was so wonderful, put me right at ease, and set the bar so high for pet sitters! Right away I knew she was going to be a fantastic sitter. She was quick with her responses, prompt with her check ins and photos and clearly loves animals. My cat was so well taken care of while I was gone and I'm looking forward to continuing using Jana's services!
