About: Hi, I’m an attorney who works from home and is saving for a wedding and a house. I grew up with a chihuahua in my family and started dog sitting for friends in college. Since then, I’ve continued caring for dogs for friends I made in law school. Working from home allows me to give your pup plenty of attention, walks, and love while keeping them safe and happy. I’d love to help care for your furry friend! I work from home with a minimal meeting schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your dog throughout the day. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just extra attention, I can easily adjust my routine to meet your pet’s needs. I live in a spacious apartment adjacent to a large park, so I have the resources and space to keep your pet happy. I also live in a dog friendly area.

About: I have a wonderful 6 year old Shiba Inu and have been caring for a wide variety of pets since my kids were very young. We currently also have a 15 year old hermit crab, a rabbit we keep in a separate room, and have previously cared for several fish, frogs, and 5 large Blue Swedish ducks. We frequently dog sit for our friends and neighbors. Someone will always be available to watch or play with the dogs due to remote work and flexibility. We are typically up early and start out with a walk. Once we are confident the dogs are getting along, we can let them out in the yard together; otherwise, we make sure to give each of them their private space. We provide water inside and out and change it often - your dog can have its own bowls. We typically feed our dog 2 x per day but can accommodate any variation for your dog. We also provide some doggie treats, if permitted. We have portable fencing should the dogs need to be separated inside or out. We have a fenced in yard and garden and a very well behaved Shiba Inu. Dogs will always get a good amount of attention and have plenty to do. They are allowed on the couch if it's alright with you, and we have a crate if needed. The location is very quiet with few cars.

About: I have had many dogs over the years, all adopted. Have fostered dogs too. Your pet will have access to several dog beds. My cairn and I would love to watch your dog with you are away. I am recently retired so am home most of the time. So your pet will get care and attention all day long that includes one daily walk. Additional walks available for a fee. I have a stockade fenced in back yard. I go outside several times during the day to hang on my deck and let my dog explore and play.

About: I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, including puppies who require consistency, supervision, and reinforcement of basic training routines. I am also comfortable caring for senior pets who may need a slower pace, medication administration, extra patience, or special accommodations to keep them comfortable and safe. My goal is not only to meet a pet's basic needs but to make sure they feel loved, secure, and happy while their family is away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior changes, and I'm the kind of sitter who genuinely enjoys building a bond with the pets I care for. Whether it's helping a puppy burn off energy and stay on schedule or giving a senior pet the extra patience and comfort they deserve, I tailor my care to each animal's unique needs. I'm dependable, attentive, and believe pet parents should never have to wonder how their furry family member is doing, so I provide frequent updates and photos. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. ❤️🐾 Pet care fits easily into my daily life because I love animals and enjoy the companionship they bring. I make time each day for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I understand how important routines are, so I work hard to keep pets comfortable and on their normal schedule. Whether it's an energetic puppy who needs extra activity or a senior pet who needs a little more patience and care, I'm happy to adjust my routine to meet their needs and make them feel loved and secure. 🐶🐱💕 What sets you apart from other sitters? Be sure to include any special skills like training puppies or senior care. I want to respond in the best way. If this is for a pet-sitting profile, you want to highlight reliability, communication, and any special care you provide. Here's a strong response you can personalize: What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give every pet as if they were my own. I understand that leaving a beloved pet with someone else requires trust, so I make communication a priority by providing regular updates, photos, and messages for peace of mind. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. ❤️🐾 How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? Whether it's morning walks, feeding schedules, playtime, administering medications, or evening check-ins, I am committed to maintaining the routine your pet is accustomed to. I understand that consistency is important for pets, so I make reliability a priority. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, which makes walks and exercise an enjoyable part of my day. Caring for pets isn't just something I do—it's something I truly enjoy, and I take pride in making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. 🐾❤️ For a more warm and personal approach: Pet care fits easily into my daily life because I love animals and enjoy the companionship they bring. Whether it's an energetic puppy who needs extra activity or a senior pet who needs a little more patience and care, I'm happy to adjust my routine to meet their needs and make them feel loved and secure. 🐶🐱💕 How do you care for pets in your home and/or your client's home? This will vary depending on which service you offer. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication needs, and bedtime routines. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's environment and the owner's instructions. I know pets are often most comfortable in familiar surroundings, so I work to maintain their routine while providing companionship, exercise, and plenty of attention. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where they receive plenty of supervision, affection, and enrichment. I make sure they have opportunities for exercise, mental stimulation, rest, and individualized attention based on their personality and needs. Every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their preferences, habits, and any special requirements so they receive personalized care and feel like part of the family while they're with me. 🐾❤️

About: i've been around dogs and cats my entire life — we're talking 20+ years of walks, belly rubs, and figuring out which cat wants attention and which one wants to be left alone. I'm the person friends and neighbors call when they go out of town because they know their pets are in good hands. I keep things simple: stick to your pet's routine, keep them active and happy, and send you updates so you're not worrying. Big dogs, tiny dogs, bossy cats — I'm good with all of them. I currently work from home and will have plenty of time to take care of your pet. Your pet will always be in good hands when they are being watched by me :) I'm in a condo so it's nice and chill — no crazy noise, just a cozy spot where your pet can relax and hang out with me. Great for dogs and cats who like a mellow vibe. There's good walking areas nearby so your dog won't be cooped up all day. And if I'm coming to your place, I'll keep everything buttoned up and stick to whatever routine you've got going

Jana was my first experience with a rover sitter and I could not be more happy about it! She was really communicative about everything. She made a checklist for everything she needed to do for each visit and was really prepared. She also sent photo updates of my kitties and let me know every time she was with them. Jana also went above and beyond and made the kittens a toy for them to enjoy (so sweet!!) which really shows how much she cared about my kitties [and animals in general!] She took time to play with them and give them attention :) Jana made me feel so much better about having left my cats alone for a few days and I would book her again and I definitely recommend her services!

About: I have been pet sitting with Rover for almost 10 years because I absolutely adore being with animals. Each one is unique :) I absolutely love dogs and cats. I've had one of my own (a cute wiener dog) for almost 15 years. (She stays with my parents) I am attentive, patient, caring, and lots of fun. I love going on adventures with dogs as well as cuddling, playing fetch, and taking long walks. I am very good at reading animals and know how to interact and communicate in a way that the dog will feel safe. I also love to give dogs the attention they deserve. My main reason for doing this job is I simply am a huge dog lover and want to spend time with dogs in my spare time. I work for myself, so I have flexibility in my schedule, and can b I currently work part-time, which is in office, however it is very flexible. I am able to make the pets my priority in scheduling during that time. I only offer services in clients home but I try and take lots of pictures and be communicative. I also ask extra questions and try and make sure everything is clear up front. I double triple check that all the doors are closed, etc. I know how important fur babies are in their owner's lives.

Once again, Daria took great care of our Pom Charlie, and we were able to have a great family vacation without worrying about him or our home. She is kind, empathetic, and playful when taking him on walks and getting him to take his meds. Charlie is always delighted to see her, and she conveys the same love and caring during their visits and in the many photos and messages she sends along the way. We are so fortunate to have her as our sitter and our newest friend.

Justin stayed in our home for five days and cared for our two dogs and two cats while we were away. We have a fairly complicated pet situation, including an older dog who can be wary of strangers and requires medication, as well as two cats living on different levels of the house, one of whom also needs medication. We had never left all of our pets for this length of time before, so it was important to find someone we could trust. Justin communicated well throughout our trip, kept us updated, and handled our pets’ routines and medication schedules responsibly. He managed a lot of moving parts and took good care of the animals and our home while we were away. We appreciated his reliability and the peace of mind he provided during our first extended time away from our pets.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
