About: I’ve had at least 1 dog in the house since 2016, I love taking care of pets and being present with them. I love their unconditional love and would love to help as many as possible!🙏🏾 I’m currently a student at Stonehill College and we have scheduled breaks. For now, when I am home on breaks, my schedule is wide open. I have a pretty consistent unofficial routine of going on runs, lifting weights, and hanging out with my girlfriend Personally, I have one dog at home and when I get back I love to take him on long walks. I also just have a mental clock of refilling his food and water. Every other week or so we get him showered and cleaned up. I’ve also helped take care of other peoples pets stopping by and taking them on walks.
“Beth is very prompt and dependable. We will definitely be using her again in the future. She did a wonderful job watching our cats. She even gave one of our cat medicine which is no easy task!”

“Cecilia was great ! very responsive and committed, she genuinely cared about taking good care of our cat, and my shy cat warmed up to her. Would definitely recommend and book her services again when needed.”

About: I’ve had two dogs, and currently have one at home. I have trained both of these puppies, and with new pets I am not afraid to ask questions or accommodate to your pets’ needs. I am a full-time student, but I am looking for hobbies. I currently live at home so I have a flexible schedule. I already walk my own dog, so getting some more exercise in never hurts. I’d prefer to meet the pets beforehand so that they are comfortable with me. I want to let dogs get the most stimulation out of their walk by letting them sniff a lot.

“Catherine was great. She took such good care of our inside cat Abby and our outside cats as well. She was super responsive. It was good knowing she was caring for our animals while we were away - gave us peace of mind. I highly recommend Catherine.”

About: I have 12+ years of experience taking care of dogs and puppies. I have experience in caring for dogs for boarding, walks throughout the day, and stopping by to feed the dogs. I have taken care of dogs of all sizes and breeds. I love dogs and will take great care of them and will accommodate all of the dog’s needs. I am available to take care of your pet during the day, weekends, and for boarding. I have flexible hours and can accommodate accordingly for your dog’s needs. My house is puppy proof and safe for all dogs and breeds. I will accommodate the dog’s needs for sleeping whether it is having their crate or sleeping in their bed in the same bedroom.
“Rohan was super good at taking care of our beloved cat during our vacation. She was very responsive and provided detail checkin report every time and spend time to play with our 2 cats, would definitely recommend and rebook with her next time!”

“Mia was so great! Our cats loved her and were always so excited to see her while we were away. We were celebrating the life of my mother so it gave us comfort to know our pets were in great care since all of us were gone at the same time. Mia was excellent with communication and updates and the photos she captured and sent were adorable! We’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for genuine pet care”

“Theresa was wonderful! She took great care of our kitties when we were away. Kept us updated with photos and descriptions of her visits. Very responsive via text/email. Will happily book again!”

I have a lot of doggy love in my heart to share, and will treat your dog like my own. They will get tons of cuddles and love. I am also very active so your dog would get lots of long walks or could accompany me on my runs! I also love cats 🐱 💗 I am a doctoral student who is back home in Montgomery County for the summer. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to take your furry friend for a walk! Your dog will get tons of outdoor time filled with long walks and adventures. I love cuddling with dogs and they will be allowed on the couch and can sleep in bed with me. I will send you tons of photos and updates of your dog throughout their stay!
“Erika is fantastic! My cat is very skittish and reserved and Erika was so patient with her and sent plenty of photos and videos which I loved. I’ve already booked her again for more drop in visits 😊”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for several years and I know how personal it is to trust someone with your best friend(s) and your home. My goal is to make the experience feel calm, safe, and stress free for both you and them. I’m especially comfortable with overnight house sitting, multi-pet households, senior pets, oral medication, separated feeding or space routines, and pets who may need a little extra patience at first. I understand that every animal has their own personality, comfort level, and routine, so I try to follow your instructions as closely as possible. While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with daily clear check-ins and photos so you never have to wonder how your furry family members are doing. I’ll also be honest if anything seems unusual, because I’d rather communicate early than leave you feeling unsure. I’ll also treat your home with respect! I keep things clean, follow the boundaries you set, and do my best to leave your space just as nice (or nicer!) than I found it. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m used to planning around animals’ needs and keeping care consistent. For overnight house sitting, my weekday availability is typically Monday through Friday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM. That includes evening care, dinner, potty breaks or walks, medication, bedtime routines, overnight care, and morning care before I leave. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, I generally have more flexibility and can provide care throughout the day. For drop-in visits, my weekday availability is usually evenings, with more flexibility on weekends and holidays. **For July 4, 2026 Holiday Weekend** I’m available for holiday drop ins for dogs and cats who may be more sensitive to fireworks, storms, or changes in routine. I’m always mindful, responsive, and attentive, and during busy holidays I know that steady care and clear updates can make a big difference for pet parents! I’ll always be upfront about my schedule before confirming a booking so we can make sure your pet’s routine and care needs are a good fit! When I’m caring for pets in your home, I follow the routine, rules, and boundaries you set. I want your dog/cat to feel safe in their normal environment, so I do my best to keep things consistent with their usual schedule, comfort needs, and household expectations. I’m very respectful of your home. I follow home access instructions carefully, keep pet areas tidy, and treat your space with the same care I would want someone to show mine. I’m also happy to discuss reasonable home care tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and keeping pet areas clean. Before confirming a new booking, I prefer a meet & greet so we can go over your pet’s routine, personality, home access, emergency contacts, and anything else that would help you feel comfortable while you’re away.
About: I have around 14 years of animal care experience with many different types of animals! I have been entrusted with the care, feeding, enrichment, and more from family, friends, and clients. Pet care fits into my routine perfectly as I am currently a college student and jobs are limited to us. I have a pet myself so being able to do this allows for more experience with animals. I have a dog park near by that I could take your animal too if they are a dog, I have plenty of toys and areas that they can run around!
“Highly recommend for any of your pets!! We had Christine drop in for house visitors for our dog and we will def. reach out again! Took excellent care and provided updates everyday; excellent communication!”

About: Hi! My name is Anna, and I’ve been caring for animals for over 6 years. My experience includes dog sitting, walking, and bathing dogs of all ages and sizes. I genuinely love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I treat every pet with the same kindness, attention, and affection that I would want for my own furry friends! I work part-time so I am usually free late afternoons and early mornings before work! I am currently working part-time! so my early mornings before 8 are free, as well as my afternoons after 4 :). I am completely free on weekends. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning litter boxes or yards, giving medications, or simply providing company, I make sure each pet receives the attention and care they need. I treat every home with respect, keep pet areas tidy, and pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health. I also love keeping pet parents updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident and connected while they're away.

About: I've been working with Rover for over 9 years now boarding, house sitting, and dog walking regularly and have gotten the chance to take care of many different dogs of all sizes and cats as well. I own a Lab-Belgium Malinois mix named Toby, so I am very comfortable caring for high energy pups of all ages. I am currently a hybrid employee, so I have flexibility to curl up on the couch with your pet(s), especially on Mondays and Fridays :) As I am currently limited to house sitting, drop-in visits and dog walking, I tend to set up a meet and greet prior to services to determine requirements for the pets in the client’s home. This includes information about crating, whether the pet(s) are allowed to hang out in the back yard, what routine they have in terms of walks, etc.

Nicole is the absolute best! She always goes above and beyond. She is kind and loving to my 3 dogs, two of which are special needs. She makes it a point to know what each dog’s personality is, individual needs are and adapts as needed. There is nothing better than peace of mind when I leave my dogs which I have when Nicole is watching them.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended! Hanah is very reliable, trustworthy, and easy to work with. She is clearly knowledgeable and experienced with dogs, and she takes the time to understand both your needs and your dog’s needs. Her expertise and genuine care gave me complete peace of mind. I was very pleased with the service she provided and would not hesitate to use her again in the future. I highly recommend Hanah to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter or dog walker.

We used Leticia recently to watch our 3 dogs. She did an excellent job. She was communicative, flexible, warm, and friendly. She came out ahead of time to meet our pets and asked appropriate questions. She also sent lots of pictures of our pets so that we knew they were happy and well cared for. We will absolutely be looking for her again in the future.

Victoria was amazing!! My boyfriend and I had to go out of town due to a death in my family, and she was available last minute to watch my husky. It was my husky's first time not being around either me or my boyfriend and not having a friend watch her. Despite the separation sadness and anxiety my dog gave off, Victoria was a champ handling her. Will totally book her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Derwood with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
