âPiero and his family are great with our dog, Grover, a basset/beagle mix He seems very happy when we've picked him up, and Piero is very easy to communicate with. I'm thrilled to have found a new home away from home for Grover.â

âHuey took such great care of my pupper Winky, and I honestly couldnât have asked for a better sitter. Winky can be super shy at first, so I always get nervous leaving him with someone new, but he got comfortable with Huey so quickly it was amazing! She has two super friendly dogs of her own(a little bichon and a corgi), and they got along so well with Winky which is awesome. She also sent me updates and photos during the stay and it looked like he was completely relaxed and having the best time. I also added on grooming during his stay, since sheâs also a home based groomer and did such an amazing job(she told me she has 20 years of grooming experience!!) Winky came home looking so clean and adorable with the cutest haircut! You can really tell she has a ton of experience with dogs and genuinely cares about them. Iâd absolutely book with Huey again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and caring for their pup!â

âKrista and Roger are our wonderful neighbors, and we recently started using them for occasional daycare for our dog, Grover. Grover loves spending time with Shyloh and their whole family. Kristaâs incredibly responsive to my requests and any questions I have. We know Groverâs safe and loved when he visits Krista and Rogerâs home!â

âShadid is amazing! It was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about leaving my puppy, Rudy, with someone else. From the moment we met Shadid, she was great with Rudy. I was concerned about Rudy getting anxious and being difficult to manage. I realized quickly that I had nothing to worry about with Shadid. Rudy was immediately comfortable with her. I donât think he even noticed me leave because he was so excited to hang out with Shadid & Pebbles all day. Throughout the day, I received pictures of Rudy at the park and playing. It felt great knowing that Rudy was in good hands and having an amazing day. When I picked Rudy up, he was sad to leave! Rudy can be challenging and usually takes a while to warm up to people, so I was extremely impressed by Shadidâs ability to care for dogs. I would absolutely be comfortable leaving Rudy with Shadid again and am so grateful that I found her. If you love your dog and donât know which sitter will be best, contact Shadid!! Your dog will have the best day and youâll feel great knowing he/she is in good hands! From a professional standpoint, Shadid is excellent. Iâm in medical school and was taking an exam during Rudyâs stay, so it was important to me that the sitter be professional. Shadid was perfect. She responds quickly and is completely reliable. I strongly recommend her!â

âCherry seemed to have a great time! She came back bouncy and happy with a much less full battery. We're so grateful that she was treated like one of his own. We'll definitely be booking in the future if they'll have her! Thanks for everything Ben!â

About: I have had many dogs since I was a kid. My whole family have them as family members. I adopted Colby, a mini poodle, 13 years ago and he recently passed on Mar 7, 2026 due to oral cancer one month before he turned 14 yr-old. I will board ONE NON-SHEDDING dog at a time so I can spend quality time with that dog âşď¸ I would love help dog owners to walk, play, and love their dogs while they cannot and get some dog love for myself. I miss my dog tremendously so I am not ready to have another. Let me take care and play with your dogs and make them happy âşď¸ I work full-time remotely. I can customize my schedule to fit your needs as long as I am given a notice to adjust (I set my work schedule a week in advanced every monday). I love taking a long walk when the weather permit. đ Whatever your dog accustomed to, I can adjust. I live in a one bedroom condo right now. I will provide a safe and loving environment for your dog.
âSriju is a very kind person. She is attentive to my dog, Daisy, when she stays for the day. Daisy loves staying with her. I will continue to keep bringing my dog to stay with SrijuđśđĽ°â

âShe is always a wonderful sitter with our dog. She takes our pup for plenty of walks, gives playtime, and snuggles. But also understands when our pup is having anxiety, like during thunderstorms, and gives that extra care to help ease stress.â

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for years through friends, family, and pets I've had the opportunity to care for along the way. Those experiences taught me that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Today, I'm the proud owner of a Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, which has given me daily hands-on experience with puppy care, exercise, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. Caring for my own dog has strengthened my understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I prioritize communication, reliability, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while keeping pets comfortable and on their usual routine. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while helping pets stay comfortable and on their usual routine. About: Hi! Iâm a part-time human nurse (RN) and former Veterinary Nurse, now working remotely M-F so I can be home with your pets all day. I can provide specialized care and administer medications such as insulin if needed. I also have experience with dogs/puppies of my own and can assist with some basic obedience training. I also love pet photography and will try to send some great photos with every visit! I work from home with some availability most days and hours each week. Please donât hesitate to message me if you have a need when Iâm not listed as available and I might be able to accommodate you. I believe pets thrive with limited disruptions to their usual comforts and schedules. I will follow your instructions to make their life as close to what they are used to with you!
âI called Ekaterina when my regular dog sitter was not available. She quickly set up a meet and greet and was able to accommodate our schedule. She and Cenk live with two sweet and bouncy dogs. It didn't take too long for the dogs to accept Loki, and they all got plenty of exercise chasing each other around. They also went for walks to a local park several times a day. I asked for a photo, which Ekaterina sent each day. Although Ekaterina would have fed Loki with their food, I brought Loki's diet which they had no trouble following. Ekaterina and Cenk are obviously dog lovers, as am I. A shy or retiring dog may have a different experience than Loki did. To be fair, I don't have enough experience seeing Ekaterina with all different kinds of dogs to know for certain. Both Ekaterina and Cenk are clearly good people. I would use them again.â
âBandit had a blast today spending the day with Nicole, playing with her dog Bobby and another neighborhood dog Lychee. He enjoyed the view from her place, had lots of play time but also cuddle time on the couch! Nicole sent regular updates with pictures and videos. I will definitely book her again!â

Jemma enjoyed her time with Carlos and Travis. I can always tell by how well she sleeps when she comes home. They made sure she had plenty of backyard play and indoor rest. When I needed to adjust my pickup time, they graciously accommodated and communicated well with me. I appreciate them caring for my fur baby!

Dani is truly a lifesaver and one of the absolute best sitters you could ever ask for! She welcomed my dog into her home on very short notice when I had a sudden family emergency and had to fly overseas. From the very beginning, her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals were clear. She went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable, happy, and cared for as if he were her own. She sent me frequent updates, including photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She carefully followed all of the instructions I left. Her communication was amazing! she not only kept me fully updated on how he was doing, but she also checked in on me and my family during such a difficult time, which meant a lot. I have another trip coming up soon, and without a doubt, Iâll be booking with Dani again. I cannot recommend her highly enough! if youâre looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, Dani is the one! đ¤đ¤đśđ

Elizabeth and family took care of Bandit very well! We first had a meet & greet to check if their cute pug Olive gets along with our wild Bandit. Their fenced in yard was perfect for Bandit to run around, they updated me regularly during the day, and Bandit had an overall great day at their house.

If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
