“I cannot recommend Jessica enough! She was fantastic with our two older dogs! It was the first time we left them with someone other than a friend, so I was a bit concerned as to whether our little dog (who is very skittish) would warm up to Jessica. I was also concerned because our bigger dog has a lot of medical issues (including mobility problems). Jessica was phenomenal. She arranged some time to come by and meet them and us beforehand. She asked really detailed questions - which let me know she was tuned into their care. She gave great updates on her visits and sent photos, too. Her updates let me know how well she was getting to know their unique quirks and personalities. She kept in touch with everything that came up - and even suggested some things to make our bigger dog more comfortable. I was blown away by the care she gave to our girls! Her thoughtfulness erased my concerns about how the dogs were doing while we were gone. I was able to relax and have a worry-free trip. And our little dog was giving her kisses and greeting her at the door after only a couple of visits! If we travel again without the dogs, I wouldn't want anyone else to care for our girls.”

“Victor is great with my dog Marcie! She can sometimes be wary of strangers but she liked him immediately. He is very conscientious and kind. Victor will take good care of your pets.”
About: I’ve had two dogs, and currently have one at home. I have trained both of these puppies, and with new pets I am not afraid to ask questions or accommodate to your pets’ needs. I am a full-time student, but I am looking for hobbies. I currently live at home so I have a flexible schedule. I already walk my own dog, so getting some more exercise in never hurts. I’d prefer to meet the pets beforehand so that they are comfortable with me. I want to let dogs get the most stimulation out of their walk by letting them sniff a lot.
“Hired Brittany to walk/play with Mason during the workday (60 minutes). He had a blast and was relaxed and tired when he came back. Brittany was timely and efficient and sent pics/update when finished. Will be hiring Brittany again.”

About: I’ve grown up around both cats and dogs; while I’ve only ever owned cats, I love to be around dogs any chance I get! I love both animals! I am a paraeducator on summer break right now so my schedule is very open! Hoping to fill my summer with many sweet furr babies:) I prioritize the animal’s health, safety, and well-being by sticking to the instructions left by the owner, and depending on the dog’s preference I will either play with them all day, or sit with them quietly and give them attention. No matter what kind of personality your dog has, I will accommodate them to the best of my ability and only show them tenderness and love as they deserve.
“Ildiko is great. She cares about my dogs and even sent pics from their walk. I definitely plan to book her for more walks (as well as other services I might need) and recommend her without hesitation.”

“Theresa is AMAZING! I used Rover for the first time last week and I was so nervous about my pup being home alone/meeting someone new but Theresa is a rockstar! My pup loved her and had a great time with Theresa. She texted me updates while I was at work and really made sure my pup was taken care of and put all my anxieties at ease. I will definitely be scheduling daily walks with Theresa!”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for years through friends, family, and pets I've had the opportunity to care for along the way. Those experiences taught me that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Today, I'm the proud owner of a Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, which has given me daily hands-on experience with puppy care, exercise, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. Caring for my own dog has strengthened my understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I prioritize communication, reliability, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while keeping pets comfortable and on their usual routine. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Nicole was amazing with our 2 Australian Shepards!! We are from out of town and had her walk our dogs daily for about 2 weeks. She is very knowledgeable about dogs in all aspects and was great with training tips for dogs with problem behaviors. Wish she lived near us, would use her all the time.
I am so thankful and pleased with Dymond! She took care of my 8 month puppy with such ease, although he is not easy! She was so patient when he was nervous and so calm when he was wild. I will absolutely use Dymond again and again! She also sent photos, videos, and updates! Thank you!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
