By far the best pet sitter we have ever had. Always on time , always friendly! Also we are in constant communication which is extremely helpful considering schedule changes happen. I love the reports of my pets being goofy and loving her visits. My pets love her visits so very much! My dogs attitude has improved very much since we have had her in our lives. And my life has been more relaxed knowing I have a dependable wonderful person looking after my pets and entering my home with no worries or stress as to what happens when I am not around. She is all around amazing!

About: Hi! I’ve been walking dogs since birth—tiny, medium, big, fluffy, goofy, you name it! I absolutely love getting to know every pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re in my care. I’m a huge cat lover too (I have one of my own! 🐱), so whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in, playtime, or just some extra cuddles, I’m here to treat them like family. I currently work hybrid and am full available everyday but Tuesdays and Thursdays to help you and your family out with your pets whenever you need. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment and provide a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of love and attention. I’ll make sure your pet gets regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and follows their normal feeding routine. I treat every pet like family!

Kyrstin did a great job with my Omidoo! He can be dog reactive and is 90+ lbs so finding a confident handler is difficult, but Kyrstin put me at ease. She handled his reactivity well and kept him controlled, and gave me thorough updates after all his walks. The poloroid was a super cute touch too! I (and Omidoo) look forward to Kyrstin coming again :)

Simply a fantastic dog walker! She was available for my last minute request. Not only did Ashley walk my dog she also did extra, added more food, stimulated my dogs mind with a brain puzzle food game, changed her water and even made sure my fur baby didn't mess the floor. I am beyond satisfied. She was very caring, respectful and just overall trustworthy and on time. I would definitely recommend Ashley to anyone in need.

Brittany was absolutely great working with my dog Huku and always sent detailed Rover Cards which made me feel comfortable when I was away. She always messaged me when there were updates or concerns. She is fantastic and I am definitely going to return to her to work with my dog. Thank you very much!

About: I’m a pre-nursing student who loves dogs and is looking to make a little bit of money on the side! I’ve had dogs my whole life, from big boxers to small shih tzu’s. I’ve grown to love dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I’d love to spend time with them while also getting paid! I’m currently unavailable Monday and Wednesday’s from 1:30-3:30. I will be starting a new job shortly so my schedule will change. I am also taking online classes so I have a pretty open schedule but I do need notice of when/what time your dog needs care. I will take dogs on a walk for around 10-20 minutes, this may be longer or shorter depending on the dog’s health and the weather (if it’s too hot or cold and the dog is visibly tired or uncomfortable the walk will be shorter, however if everything is fine the walk will likely be longer.) I also will feed and play with dogs (play time for a maximum of 45 minutes.)

About: I am a lifelong pet lover and owner, here to help with your furry family! I use Rover for my own dog when I travel and know how important it is to find someone you can trust when you are away from home. I have decades of pet ownership and care experience with dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and more. I also have experience as a Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy-raiser (2 years), worked in veterinary hospitals (3 years), and am capable of assisting with oral medication and other needs. Currently I have a 40lb pitbull mix who keeps me on my toes, but I have some extra time to help with your pet care! Sombra does not play well with other dogs, so she will stay at home while I care for your pet. I am a DOGE-d federal worker trying to make ends meet until I find new full-time work. At the moment I am available on weekdays and weekends. I will care for your pets in your home. I will respect your home and house rules and strive to follow any requests you have related to the care of your pets. My dog can be territorial and does not appreciate canine guests in my home.

About: Dogs have been in my life since I was 12 years old. I have had 4 dogs throughout that time. I have experience with both senior dogs and high-energy younger dogs. I am more used to smaller dogs, but one of my current 2 dogs is a 54lb pitt-bull, the other one is a 15lb pug mix. I also used to take care of a 70lb standard poodle for a family I was a nanny for. I am currently unemployed, so I have open availability. I am working on my master´s degree and would like to use this extra time to save a little money since I just got married. I offer dog walking and house sitting services. I can also play with them and provide a safe and comfortable envoinment. I will adapt to whatever specific needs your pets may have.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I started out by helping neighbors take care of their cats and dogs, and over the years that love grew into rescuing and caring for animals of my own. I’ve shared my life with both a cat and a dog with special needs, and I even helped raise an abandoned baby squirrel. I’m a biologist by training, and through my work I’ve also cared for rabbits, providing gentle pre- and post-surgery support. I’ve previously provided cats and dogs care with a company called Pet Nanny and was certified through Pet Sitters International. I especially enjoy walking small and medium-sized dogs and always make sure each walk is filled with patience, attention, and lots of love. After my job ended in September due to a reduction in force, I decided to follow my heart and focus on animal care full time, beginning with dog walking from 11am-10pm. I also except dogs day care. Your dog’s safety and happiness always come first. I walk with full attention to my surroundings and to what your dog needs in the moment. We take our time so they can do their business, enjoy plenty of sniffing and “reading messages,” stretch their legs, and truly enjoy the walk before heading home. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own and will always keep you updated about anything special, unusual, or urgent that comes up.

Theresa is AMAZING! I used Rover for the first time last week and I was so nervous about my pup being home alone/meeting someone new but Theresa is a rockstar! My pup loved her and had a great time with Theresa. She texted me updates while I was at work and really made sure my pup was taken care of and put all my anxieties at ease. I will definitely be scheduling daily walks with Theresa!

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for years through friends, family, and pets I've had the opportunity to care for along the way. Those experiences taught me that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Today, I'm the proud owner of a Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, which has given me daily hands-on experience with puppy care, exercise, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. Caring for my own dog has strengthened my understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I prioritize communication, reliability, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while keeping pets comfortable and on their usual routine. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while helping pets stay comfortable and on their usual routine. I also have a friendly Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, who loves companionship and can be a great playmate for dogs who enjoy being around other pets. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home while their owners are away.

About: I love animals and taking care of them! I have a dog and cat myself. I also have experience with smaller animals like hamsters and guinea pigs. I have previous experience working at a doggy day care. I would handle cleaning up the kennels and playing with the dogs outside. I also administered giving some dogs medications. As well as feeding them of course. I currently work at a vet hospital so my knowledge on veterinary medicine has expanded. Also I have a car so I have a reliable transportation. I am bilingual and can help teach your pups some Spanish lol! Feel free to ask me any questions about any concerns you have! I love animals and I love working with them, my experience would make me a great sitter for your pet :). I work a full time job, but am available usually on the weekends. I usually have Holiday ability too. I looking forward to spending time with your pet! I can also do Monday afternoons. I have play pens for puppies and smaller pups. I am able to provide on leash walks and hikes. I will follow your schedule so that way your pet doesn’t fall out of habit.

“Romario was fantastic with Nalu! He was incredibly communicative throughout, always letting me know exactly when he arrived and when he was leaving, plus sending pictures during the walk so I could see Nalu having a great time. That level of communication put my mind completely at ease. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he walks; Nalu came home happy and well-exercised every time. He’s reliable, punctual, and clearly experienced with different dog personalities. I’d trust him with Nalu again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone looking for a walker who treats their pup like family.”

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
