“Hired Brittany to walk/play with Mason during the workday (60 minutes). He had a blast and was relaxed and tired when he came back. Brittany was timely and efficient and sent pics/update when finished. Will be hiring Brittany again.”

“Teresa was very good with our little yapping dog! Our little girl barks at everyone and everything. She was very good with her. She was also very flexible when our trip went awry and we needed her for longer.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for years through friends, family, and pets I've had the opportunity to care for along the way. Those experiences taught me that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Today, I'm the proud owner of a Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, which has given me daily hands-on experience with puppy care, exercise, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. Caring for my own dog has strengthened my understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I prioritize communication, reliability, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while keeping pets comfortable and on their usual routine. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while helping pets stay comfortable and on their usual routine. I also have a friendly Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, who loves companionship and can be a great playmate for dogs who enjoy being around other pets. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home while their owners are away.
“Jessica was a terrific find and in my neighborhood. Her love of dogs is evident and Pete loves her back. He is a strong dog and she manages him well. I recommend her to anyone.”

“Victor is great with my dog Marcie! He made sure to ask about everything he might need to know for her. My cat liked him too. Victor is very kind and conscientious and you can definitely trust him with your pet. He will absolutely go above and beyond to make sure they are well taken care of.”
“Melissa is truly fantastic. She is always easy to work with, has great communication, and takes the best pictures. Oakley is always SO happy to see her and even does his happy dance that is usually reserved for mom and dad. We’re so happy to have found Melissa!”

About: I’ve had at least 1 dog in the house since 2016, I love taking care of pets and being present with them. I love their unconditional love and would love to help as many as possible!🙏🏾 I’m currently a student at Stonehill College and we have scheduled breaks. For now, when I am home on breaks, my schedule is wide open. I have a pretty consistent unofficial routine of going on runs, lifting weights, and hanging out with my girlfriend Personally, I have one dog at home and when I get back I love to take him on long walks. I also just have a mental clock of refilling his food and water. Every other week or so we get him showered and cleaned up. I’ve also helped take care of other peoples pets stopping by and taking them on walks.

About: My house has been filled with pets since before I was born! My family has rescued dogs, cats and horses from shelters, bad homes, and the streets in order to give them loving forever-homes. As an only child, my dogs and cats were more like siblings than pets. I've taken care of dogs since I was old enough to do chores and have loved every animal in my life, whether they were my family's pets or those of friends. I have two cats with me here in Maryland and a Lab and Corgi who are with my family in Minnesota! I'd love to take your pup on a walk or care for your dog or cat while you're away! I'm a graduate student with a fairly flexible schedule. I work from home and try to inject breaks into my day by taking walks, which I'd love to do with your dog! I have a vehicle and am happy to drive within my listed range to walk or sit for you. I have a townhouse with a back yard and there is a dog park 4 minutes from my home. Depending on your pet and their needs, I may be able to host your dog at my home while you're away. In my home, pets' safety, comfort, and needs are always met. Preventative measures are taken to make sure no dangerous objects/ingestibles are laying around. Water is always available and food is given at the proper times. Playtime and walking are essential, but proper leash and collar/harness and baggies are always a must when outside! To me, dogs are the focus of a walk and should not just be closely watched to make sure they are safe, but should also be engaged with, praised, and loved throughout. Similarly, pet-sitting is an active role that requires my attention--lucky for me I also get to have a blast playing with and caring for your dog while sitting!

About: I’ve cared for my own dog from puppyhood into her senior years, giving me experience with different stages of a dog’s life and their changing needs. I’m also the trusted dog sitter in my family and regularly care for my aunt’s dog when she needs help. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection. I’m reliable, patient, and will care for your dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am currently a college student at the University of Maryland and am home for break, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide reliable, attentive care for your dog. I have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment for every dog in my care. I make sure they always have fresh water, regular bathroom breaks, plenty of exercise, and lots of attention throughout the day. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and relaxed. Since I have a dog of my own, I understand how important it is to follow each dog’s routine and treat them like family.

“Leslie was great with our black Lab, Sophie. She did a home visit first, and we talked about Sophie’s routine, predilections, and personality. We walked together and Leslie took the leash, handling Sophie well. She did a bunch of mid-day walks for us, and sent updates (usually with a photo or two). She usually responds quickly to texts and was flexible with me when I had to reschedule. Sophie and I were both happy!”

“Dee Dee is awesome! We can always count on her for weekly weekday walks. She always gives great updates and sends pictures during each visit. Happy we came across her profile on Rover!”

About: I’ve had two dogs, and currently have one at home. I have trained both of these puppies, and with new pets I am not afraid to ask questions or accommodate to your pets’ needs. I am a full-time student, but I am looking for hobbies. I currently live at home so I have a flexible schedule. I already walk my own dog, so getting some more exercise in never hurts. I’d prefer to meet the pets beforehand so that they are comfortable with me. I want to let dogs get the most stimulation out of their walk by letting them sniff a lot.

I am so thankful and pleased with Dymond! She took care of my 8 month puppy with such ease, although he is not easy! She was so patient when he was nervous and so calm when he was wild. I will absolutely use Dymond again and again! She also sent photos, videos, and updates! Thank you!!

Fabiola is great! She was able to accomodate our last minute request, which we truly appreciate. She is reliable, communicative and took excellent care of our pup Georgie. It gave us peace of mind knowing our Pup is in good hands. Highly recommend and would gladly rebook. Thanks Fabby!

They went out of their way to care of Lily, they had to go back second time, and try again. Because this was Lily's first experience with a sitter, so she was afraid and gaurdish. So she was no. They kept in contact with me the whole time and shared pictures. The second time around she let them walk her. They did not have to go back but they did. Highly recommend them both.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
