About: Hello! My name is Shanice and I would love to take care of your fur baby! I have been taking care of animals specifically dogs ever since I was young. I have a dog of my own that I had ever since he was a puppy and he is 11 years old now so we basically grew up together. Not only I take care of a dog at home I also work with dogs on a daily basis. I work at a dog daycare facility so I feed, monitor, and train. I also work at a vet hospital where I help with the sick animals so you can see that animals are my life. If you have me looking after your fur babies I can guarantee that they are in the best hands. I am available for boarding on Sundays from 2pm to 5am. Wednesday from 2pm to anytime you want. I am also available on Thursdays openly. First I will make sure that they are well fed and well hydrated especially during the summer and have some quality playtime. If you allow me to bathe your pet I will to make sure they are all clean and comfortable.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I started out by helping neighbors take care of their cats and dogs, and over the years that love grew into rescuing and caring for animals of my own. I’ve shared my life with both a cat and a dog with special needs, and I even helped raise an abandoned baby squirrel. I’m a biologist by training, and through my work I’ve also cared for rabbits, providing gentle pre- and post-surgery support. I’ve previously provided cats and dogs care with a company called Pet Nanny and was certified through Pet Sitters International. I especially enjoy walking small and medium-sized dogs and always make sure each walk is filled with patience, attention, and lots of love. After my job ended in September due to a reduction in force, I decided to follow my heart and focus on animal care full time, beginning with dog mid-day through the evenings dog walking. We take our time so they can do their business, enjoy plenty of sniffing and “reading messages,” stretch their legs, and truly enjoy the walk before heading home. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own and will always keep you updated about anything special, unusual, or urgent that comes up.

I have a lot of first-hand experience with owning/caring for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. I have no breed preferences, and pets that need specific care/special needs are always welcome. If you have a special needs pet, (or a pet that needs any sort of medication administration or medical care such as ear drops, eye drops, diaper changes, etc.) I do request to be shown specifically how you provide that care in order to ensure that your pet is not overly stressed out with a stranger performing different techniques of administration than the ones consistently used by their owner. I have a license and a car so I can provide reliable transportation to dog parks, socialization outings, grooming appointments, and pup-cup treats! I love animals of all shapes and sizes and I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pet. **FULLY COVID-19 VACCINATED AND BOOSTED During the summer I have a relatively free schedule. During the fall and spring semesters, I attend college full-time, so unfortunately my availability will be cut down but not completely gone. During the school year, I would greatly appreciate it if you could notify me or request me 6 hours to one day in advance so I can make sure I don’t have anything going on with school. Same-day requests during the school year can be tricky and I want you to be able to have your pet taken care of, so if I happen to be busy on the day of request/visit I can let you know so you can request someone else in a timely manner. I would hate to deny your request an hour or so before you need me because of school and cause you to be unable to book a new sitter in time. I strive to make sure your pets get the best care possible, even if, unfortunately, it cannot be with me. **For house-sitting services, I am available for all-day visits, but unfortunately I am unable to stay the night(s) at your home because of my own pets at home needing care. About: I have taken care of a variety of pets since I was 10 years old. I love helping my friends and family train their pets as well! Especially dogs who pull on the leash a lot or jump on people, helping them learn to stop those behaviors is very satisfying for me. I will be attentive to your pet’s needs and body language, as well as concisely follow any instructions given to me! I can’t wait to meet you and your pet ! I’m currently working from home, and I have a very flexible schedule so I am always available whenever you need me for whatever your pet needs. First and foremost I make sure to follow whatever instructions provided to me, since I know all pets have unique needs. When pet sitting, I make sure to keep the home tidy, and focus on giving the pet lots of attention and make sure all their needs are met. I like becoming friends with all sorts of pets :)
