“"DJ" was very prompt and caring with our (large) dogs! We were so pleased with his attention to detail, we are going to request his services during our next trip without hesitation.”

About: I only found about my love for dogs when I decided to get a dog a few years ago. My experience includes raising a chow chow puppy into a member of dog society by individual and dog park playtime, walks outside, administering medication, and enforced chill time as necessary. I know how anxiety inducing leaving your pets when you're away, so I will treat you the way I would like to be treated with many photo / video updates! I love all dogs, big or small, outgoing or shy! If your dog is socialized enough for a trip to PetSmart or marshalls, could do that too! I work full time from home without many meetings which gives me the flexibility I want to walk dogs or drop by a for visits. I can work with whatever equipment your dog is used to - collars and harnesses. If your dog has a schedule, I will follow it so they don't feel out of their routine.

About: I grew up with dogs my whole life. I’ve fostered, adopted, and cared for many dogs. Puppies and kittens are my specialty, but senior animals deserve just as much love. I treat every animal like they’re my own. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. With a flexible schedule, I can give pets the time, attention, and consistency they need. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or plenty of cuddles, I make sure every pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I care for dogs and cats by following their routines, providing meals, fresh water, exercise, playtime, affection, and plenty of patience and attention. My goal is simple: a happy pet is a cared-for pet
“Laura is amazing!!!! She walked my skittish labradoodle, and it was clear my dog was fully at ease with Laura. She was timely, communicated well, and sent photos. Would highly recommend her to any dog owner!”

“Monats was super helpful and really came through for our pup during a schedule pinch! She took excellent care of Rosie and was very on top of making sure Rosie’s care requirements were met. And I really appreciated her experience and diligence in catching and thwarting my dogs attempts to eat sticks and mulch even though I had forgotten to warn in advance!”

About: I am a lifelong pet lover and owner, here to help with your furry family! I use Rover for my own dog when I travel and know how important it is to find someone you can trust when you are away from home. I have decades of pet ownership and care experience with dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and more. I also have experience as a Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy-raiser (2 years), worked in veterinary hospitals (3 years), and am capable of assisting with oral medication and other needs. Currently I have a 40lb pitbull mix who keeps me on my toes, but I have some extra time to help with your pet care! Sombra does not play well with other dogs, so she will stay at home while I care for your pet. I am a DOGE-d federal worker trying to make ends meet until I find new full-time work. At the moment I am available on weekdays and weekends. I will care for your pets in your home. I will respect your home and house rules and strive to follow any requests you have related to the care of your pets. My dog can be territorial and does not appreciate canine guests in my home.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I started out by helping neighbors take care of their cats and dogs, and over the years that love grew into rescuing and caring for animals of my own. I’ve shared my life with both a cat and a dog with special needs, and I even helped raise an abandoned baby squirrel. I’m a biologist by training, and through my work I’ve also cared for rabbits, providing gentle pre- and post-surgery support. I’ve previously provided cats and dogs care with a company called Pet Nanny and was certified through Pet Sitters International. I especially enjoy walking small and medium-sized dogs and always make sure each walk is filled with patience, attention, and lots of love. After my job ended in September due to a reduction in force, I decided to follow my heart and focus on animal care full time, beginning with dog walking from 11am-10pm. I also except dogs day care. Your dog’s safety and happiness always come first. I walk with full attention to my surroundings and to what your dog needs in the moment. We take our time so they can do their business, enjoy plenty of sniffing and “reading messages,” stretch their legs, and truly enjoy the walk before heading home. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own and will always keep you updated about anything special, unusual, or urgent that comes up.
About: 👋🐕🦺 Hello there! My name is Anh. I retired from my pet daycare attendant job years ago. Now I'm working my heart out to build my own business ventures while getting back to my love for pet care. Working as a pet attendant has not only enforced my love for animals even further but it has also taught me how to handle various animal-related situations. It was one of those jobs that after you quit for years, you still reminiscing about. I reminisce about the pups I took care of every single day. Seeing the joys on the pets and their owner's face after the end of each daycare session always makes my day — bonus point when the dogs do their little exciting dance when they see you! During my time working fulltime there, I worked with 100+ fur babies a day (from small babies to big boys!) From giving your fur children medicine to showering them due to digestive issue, I've done (and mastered) it all. I'm currently working as a digital designer but the corporate working culture is killing my soul. Hence, I would LOVE to branch out to different paths and journeys. If it makes any different at all regarding you feeling confident about my services, I know how to train cats to do tricks! 😏 So if you're feeling easy-chris-breezy, let's chat! 🐕🦺🫶 Also an honorable shout out to Ariel, a senior German Shepherd who was under medical procedure that I took care for — I miss you every day bud <3 I'm currently working on my own businesses with this on the side so my schedule is super flexible and can be adjust based on your needs. Morning and early afternoon are the ideal time slots for me, but I am open for discussion. At the end of the day, your pets healthy routine is what matter! I am active and love hiking. Although my place doesn't have a yard, I can take your babies out for fun walks and activies in the park. I am also very organized in my home so your pets will feel absolutely comfortable with an odor-free and cleaned environment. My security, Storm (from X-Men), will also make sure no bugs can attack your pets.
“It was my first experience with Rover and Brittany and I am highly satisfied with everything. Brittany was absolutely great working with my dog Huku and always sent detailed Rover Cards which made me feel comfortable when I was away. She always messaged me when there were updates or concerns. She is fantastic and I am definitely going to return to her to work with my dog. Thank you very much!”

“I cannot recommend Jessica enough! She was fantastic with our two older dogs! It was the first time we left them with someone other than a friend, so I was a bit concerned as to whether our little dog (who is very skittish) would warm up to Jessica. I was also concerned because our bigger dog has a lot of medical issues (including mobility problems). Jessica was phenomenal. She arranged some time to come by and meet them and us beforehand. She asked really detailed questions - which let me know she was tuned into their care. She gave great updates on her visits and sent photos, too. Her updates let me know how well she was getting to know their unique quirks and personalities. She kept in touch with everything that came up - and even suggested some things to make our bigger dog more comfortable. I was blown away by the care she gave to our girls! Her thoughtfulness erased my concerns about how the dogs were doing while we were gone. I was able to relax and have a worry-free trip. And our little dog was giving her kisses and greeting her at the door after only a couple of visits! If we travel again without the dogs, I wouldn't want anyone else to care for our girls.”

“Victor is great with my dog Marcie! He made sure to ask about everything he might need to know for her. My cat liked him too. Victor is very kind and conscientious and you can definitely trust him with your pet. He will absolutely go above and beyond to make sure they are well taken care of.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for years through friends, family, and pets I've had the opportunity to care for along the way. Those experiences taught me that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Today, I'm the proud owner of a Cavapoo puppy, Oreo, which has given me daily hands-on experience with puppy care, exercise, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement. Caring for my own dog has strengthened my understanding of the patience, consistency, and attention that great pet care requires. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That's why I prioritize communication, reliability, and regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, my goal is to help them feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. Because I work from home, I'm able to maintain a flexible schedule and be present for the pets in my care throughout the day. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while keeping pets comfortable and on their usual routine. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. This allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention while helping pets stay comfortable and on their usual routine. About: My house has been filled with pets since before I was born! My family has rescued dogs, cats and horses from shelters, bad homes, and the streets in order to give them loving forever-homes. As an only child, my dogs and cats were more like siblings than pets. I've taken care of dogs since I was old enough to do chores and have loved every animal in my life, whether they were my family's pets or those of friends. I have two cats with me here in Maryland and a Lab and Corgi who are with my family in Minnesota! I'd love to take your pup on a walk or care for your dog or cat while you're away! I'm a graduate student with a fairly flexible schedule. I work from home and try to inject breaks into my day by taking walks, which I'd love to do with your dog! I have a vehicle and am happy to drive within my listed range to walk or sit for you. I have a townhouse with a back yard and there is a dog park 4 minutes from my home. Depending on your pet and their needs, I may be able to host your dog at my home while you're away. In my home, pets' safety, comfort, and needs are always met. Preventative measures are taken to make sure no dangerous objects/ingestibles are laying around. Water is always available and food is given at the proper times. Playtime and walking are essential, but proper leash and collar/harness and baggies are always a must when outside! To me, dogs are the focus of a walk and should not just be closely watched to make sure they are safe, but should also be engaged with, praised, and loved throughout. Similarly, pet-sitting is an active role that requires my attention--lucky for me I also get to have a blast playing with and caring for your dog while sitting!
About: Can’t promise any training but they’ll be loved and cared for under my care! Whether your dog may be dog aggressive or the most playful, I have experience with my own with different personalities. I currently work remote and have a flexible schedule to do some drop ins and quick hang sessions/walks with your fur babies Mon-Fri. While my kids are in school, I’d be happy to stop and care for your pet! My dogs are my 2 other babies and I’ll be sure to care for your pets with the same care and respect with any specific instructions if need be.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Washington Grove
“Romario was fantastic with Nalu! He was incredibly communicative throughout, always letting me know exactly when he arrived and when he was leaving, plus sending pictures during the walk so I could see Nalu having a great time. That level of communication put my mind completely at ease. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he walks; Nalu came home happy and well-exercised every time. He’s reliable, punctual, and clearly experienced with different dog personalities. I’d trust him with Nalu again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone looking for a walker who treats their pup like family.”

We did a meet and greet earlier in the week and it went great. My dog can be shy with strangers so she was patient and let him sniff her. Then for the scheduled walk, they walked along a trail that I recommended since my dog is people and dog reactive. She gave him more water and put him back in the playpen as requested which is important since he gets into stuff. Overall, great experience.

I am so thankful and pleased with Dymond! She took care of my 8 month puppy with such ease, although he is not easy! She was so patient when he was nervous and so calm when he was wild. I will absolutely use Dymond again and again! She also sent photos, videos, and updates! Thank you!!

It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
